Finally went in and as hoped, had a wonderful experience. You won't find any processed food here, only freshly made traditional food we all used to know and love; real vegetables, bread made in-house and all cooked fresh to order. The food was wonderful. Had the veg discovery plate and every last mouthful was delicious. The restaurant is clean and homely - it's all about the food. We were offered plates and cutlery but chose to eat using just the bread to take the food. Staff very nice, lots of customers from East Africa enjoying a family meal and I will absolutely be back. Great food, also a good dining experience and reasonably priced. Fresh, home made food to be appreciated.

I had the ribeye steak, my son had the chicken and ribs and my husband, the steak skewer. I have to say, everything was cooked and seasoned to perfection. Even the salad was dressed beautifully. Jorge and Hanna are always so welcoming, helpful and go the extra mile. They even buy in milk, just for our ASD young man. 100% we will come back again and again. If booking a large party, they are happy to take orders in advanced.

Great meal. There's a reason Uncle Sam's has been a staple of North End since forever. Burger is juicy and flavourful. Fries crispy and fresh. Milkshake is well worth getting. Delivery in under 15 minutes. Phenomenal. Keep it up!

Very clean, very friendly service - especially from the gentleman who took the first half of my order. I ordered a chocolate brownie frappe with no coffee and it was make quickly to perfection. Brilliant blend of consistency and efficiency. I decided whilst waiting to order a cheese and roasted tomato toastie, which was then heated by the same gentleman who served it quickly but it was positioned very nicely, the presentation was beautiful. It was perfectly toasted and I enjoyed it thoroughly. Best Costa experience I've ever had - will definitely go here more often rather than my two more local stores. (As you can tell from my photo, I enjoyed the toastie a lot... 😂) *Edit Just checked my receipt and found the staff member's name. Brilliant service by Chris 😊😊

The pizza is the best beats Domino's and Pizza Hut by far and the coffee beats Costa and Starbucks too just a shame there is no where to park outside!!!!!!!!!

Every time we stay overnight in Portsmouth we visit this restaurant. The food and service are always excellent. For our latest visit my husband had the beef sukiyaki and I had the seafood tempura. Both meals were lovely. Highly recommend this restaurant. Only down side is the location isn’t the best.

Have been several times in the past and was disappointed that the food wasn't the same quality as previous visits. I had the chicken and mushroom risotto which was overly creamy and slightly tasteless. Husband had the meatballs which again were disappointing. Kids were very happy with the pizzas and the service was good though. We were the only diners initially, but it did get busier as we left.
