The best restaurants serving Default food in Ore Hastings South East

New November 2018. Just discovered it! Great coffee, soya and alternative milks available. Excellent baguettes and sandwiches. Really clean and well run. Staff are friendly and eager to please. Comfortable seating. A couple of tables outside. Light and modern interior. Delighted this has opened in Ore. Nothing else like it. Not a bad place to work for a few hours but I don't know if there's wifi. Excellent value and really impressed by the sandwiches. They do a range of cakes and nibbles of varying sizes, all beautifully presented so you don't have to go mad to treat yourself.

It was when the satnav took a left turn off the A21 that things deteriorated rapidly. 6 miles of C roads (is there such a thing?) with potholes, gravel, unmaintained roads and opposing traffic that just didn’t care brought a light sweat on both riders. Relieved finally to find the Coast Guard café and a pleasant two hours within its serene atmosphere brought my blood pressure down to normal. Service was outstanding, food was good, and sourced locally and the view is fantastic. Although I initially thought the café expensive, actually it turns out to be good value when compared to other cafés. Well worth a revisit.

Came here after a horrible ordeal at the nearby Old King John pub (see my review). Food was delicious, cooked to order yet prompt. Service was good. The atmosphere is refreshingly rustic and the Italian cider just sweet enough. Prices are reasonable. Can't imagine why anyone would use the rival takeaways when this is here.

Great pizza served quickly and hot..very helpful and friendly staff..Been 3 times now and always perfect..would like a few more mushrooms maybe..😉

I’m shocked at the positive reviews on here. The food was absolutely terrible! My Dad’s chicken was pink. My childs peppers were like jelly and the burger was black. I don’t usually complain but I couldn’t eat a thing. There was also hardly anything available on the menu. It was honestly the worst meal I have had.

Had chicken biryani and chicken damask. Also had popadoms. I am a curry lover and can honestly say that this is the worst Indian that I have ever had. The popadoms tasted of fish and the chicken in both dishes was tough. I threw the lot away and wasted £21.

Delicious kebabs delivered quickly. Good that they use their own delivery guys so you're guaranteed it to be hot !! Will order again

Useless, delivery driver did not know area waited for 30 mins. Drove past us twice trying to wave down. Ended up cancelling order, staff didn't seem that bothered.

The pizza was stone cold. There's lots of traffic lights around here, so the journey probably took a few minutes longer, but I think the pizza was sitting around for a long time in the shop.

Good food but quite expensive. Seating area is a bit old and dirty Friendly staff Limited parking nearby

I went there as a mystery shopper I write reviews on all takeaways my reviews are how I see it .when in last Thursday walked in the front door a bell went off to let the staff know someone was there five minutes later a young lady turned up she asked me what I wanted I asked her to tell me what deals were on she couldn't tell me she said you have to go online to get them although the deal was advertised on the window she said oh hang on I will get the manager the manager didn't come out but sent the girl back who said we only do that deal on Tuesdays I asked her about all the different pizzas she started to get annoyed with me asking if I was going to buy anything and saying we are closing soon so I left after which I went to dominoes who I will write about later pizza hut staff were rude and I could hear a lot of loud music playing in back ground certainly not going there again
