The best restaurants serving Default food in Preston North West

We’ve eaten here a few times and the food is usually freshly prepared and reliably good. But on this visit, we weren’t blown away by the Sunday roast. The roast potatoes were under seasoned, the veg was over seasoned and we’d be amazed if the lamb was freshly roasted/carved, it seemed pre sliced and was very average. The service was friendly, but slow rather than steady, we had young children in our group and their food came with the starters so they had to wait a really long time before the rest of us were ready to order the desserts, giving them time to get quite restless. We also had a missing meal from every course, and had to remind the staff of what had been ordered. It was nice enough but I wouldn’t race back for a Sunday roast.

Great microbar who sell a very good range of real ales and beers etc. Good service and atmosphere, outside seating area, and reassuringly busy most of the time. They don't sell food, but do have an excellent chippy next door. Highly recommended.

Hands down the best Roast meats Hong Kong style in the north of England, the little beauty is hidden away in Preston, Lancashire. The roast is done daily and is the best tasting duck and belly pork I’ve eaten in a long time. The belly pork is so crispy that if you have any leftover and take home, should you microwave it to reheat ( oven reheating is best) it is still crispy, doesn’t go soggy like majority of belly pork from restaurants all over the uk. The duck has authentic marinade that makes it mouth watering, they serve many HK delicacies that you can try, ranging from inards to fresh vegetables… the menu is great, the place is more like a cafe and has limited seating, they are constantly full all day everyday so advance booking is recommended. You know is good food when orientals done there, I kid you not, everyone eats there…. I travel 90 minutes by car just to sample the goods…. Definitely worth the drive even if motorways close and force you to detour to get home… amazing place, run by amazing couple… so kind and generous….. this is in my top 5 places to eat within the uk… big thumbs up

Honestly such a shame this place has shut down because it had such a lovely atmosphere and amazing, cheap and healthy vegan food. the granola bowl was one of the best things ive ever tasted.

The food was fantastic and deserving of its reputation. The collection of cocktails and video games make it more than just a burger place and would suit families, dates, going solo or hanging with mates.

Had a couple of pints of lager and it was a lovely atmosphere and so chill. Get a quick drink in here before town

Winedown is my favourite spot in Preston. It is such a cosy, welcoming, cool location with candles and fairy lights. The wine, sourced by the owner Dougie, is amazing, reasonably priced, and varied from all over the world. The cheese and meat boards are absolute heaven and the nachos are possibly the food I want on my death bed. If you're going to visit just one place in Preston, please make it Winedown. Perfect for dates, girls' nights, solo glasses of wine with a book, family evenings, and more. Also, they do regular events like wine tastings, open mic nights, and an awesome fortnightly quiz!

This place is a hidden gem. The food is outstanding and obviously authentic. The portion sizes are generous to say the least. Our favourites are the spring rolls, they are homemade and a taste sensation. Alex has an amazing talent with all the wines and has recommended some real beauties to us. Ones we want to buy to have at home. Mum is cooking away in the kitchen so you wait (not too long) for your turn. When it arrives it is always piping hot. The staff is really good fun but attentive and professional. What is very telling is that they have a multitude of returning customers who have obviously been going for many years.

Absolutely amazing food and service. This was our first visit but it will not be our last. It’s only a 10 to 15 minute walk along station road, from the Premier Inn at Bamber Bridge, Preston.

Busy but plenty of seating early on a Friday evening. Many brewed on premise key keg. Couple on cask. £5-£7 per pint, but try the schooners!

We hired Florianas for a surprise birthday party. Andy was great with all the preparation beforehand, making sure we had everything we needed for a perfect party. Florianas delivered; the bar was full of all sorts of cocktails and drinks, staff were beyond helpful and were so friendly, and the decor looked fabulous. We would highly recommend anyone who is looking to hire a venue for a private function to contact Florianas!
