Amazing flavours, huge portions, the friendliest staff. Highly recommend

Came here for the first time with a table of 8 on Friday 28th June. Great communication when booking and very accommodating for the size of party. The food was genuinely some of nicest we have ever eaten, not one person had a bad thing to say. Had a variety of starters and mains from the garlic and black pepper stir fry to the green curry to the pad thai and every mouthful was delicous. Service was impeccable and we were very well looked after. All 8 of us would highly recommend this place and we will be back again, 100%! I can't believe we didn't try it sooner!

I absolutely love this place... the atmosphere is so cosy, the staff are really friendly and my God THE FOOD!!! The chicken pad thai is incredible and keeps me coming back time after time! Between myself and my other half we have tried quite a few different things and I can truly say we have never tried anything we didn't love. A truly special restaurant that I reccomend to everyone. 🇹🇭🤍

The food here is incredible! We ordered the pad thai, yellow curry and garlic rice and all dishes were 10/10, so much so that we have now ordered two weekends in a row! If you’re after some authentic and extremely tasty thai food then I cannot recommend Thai Orchid enough!

Quite simply the best Thai / Oriental restaurant in the Preston / Chorley area. Delicious & really tasty Thai food using fresh ingredients cooked to perfection. It's been going for over 30 years which says it all. Recent refurbs really help as well.

Everything about this place took both me & my fiancée right back to Thailand. Greeted with a smile, served delicious dishes all at a reasonable price. Over the moon that we decided this place. Will be a regular for us for sure

Good quality Thai food with a really nice atmosphere. A few meals were not available ( no ribs or duck ) so 1 less star. However what we did order was delicious and well worth the money.

2nd visit to the Thai Orchid for my sisters birthday and we weren't disappointed. We had the sharing platter as a starter and Thai yellow curry for pur main. Never had yellow before. It was lovely but I do prefer the spicier red/green curries. The MAI THAI cocktails were AMAZING!!

Food was amazing! Asked for recommendations off the menu and I was not disappointed at all. The service was friendly and the atmosphere relaxed. Already planning my next visit.

Am now on my 3rd Friday in a row with a take away from here. The best pad Thai I've ever had and I've had a lot. Lovely service and quickly ready. Thank you we will eat in some day

What a lovely authentic Thai restaurant in Preston! Every waitress and waiter was friendly and charming. They have many selections of startes, stir fry, Thai curry, noodles etc and if you can't decide, they have 8 kinds of banquet too! I liked all their food with big portion. The atmosphere is nice with Thai decorations. Highly recommend!

I don't really know what to say. We have had several meals in different Thai restaurants across the UK and I can safety say this is the worse Thai meal we have ever had. Tasteless food, even rice was bland, poor service and would definitely NOT recommend.

This was the BEST Thai food i've ever had!!! Lovely atmosphere, amazing portion sizes, great quality service, and I couldn't recommend this restaurant enough. Thank you for a fantastic meal :)

Perfect in every way. Always made to feel welcome and never rushed. Other than thailand it's self it definitely the best thai food we have had from around the world.

Can't understand why this place was so quiet.... The food and service was fantastic!! Be prepared to take a doggy bag home, you won't want to leave anything behind.

Absolutely amazing thai food, best I've had. We have the chicken Thai green curry and the stir fried chicken with ginger etc and the quality of the meat was amazing. Portion sizes are generous and I was able to take my leftovers home no problem. The steamed wontons were absolutely unreal, will be ordering those every time. The staff were lovely and helpful, especially the young lady who served us. Thank you! Will certainly be returning.

The food is to die for. I recommend you get a bottle of wine to go with it. Not too crowded. Great for date night with a partner or friends.

We've been eating at the Thai Orchid since it first opened, about 20 years ago. We've eaten various lovely things from the extensive menu, but always come back to the same things, which the staff always remember, which is obviously lovely. I've seen people recently complain that it's not some flash thing and that sometimes the -freshly cooked- food is slower than other places. If you want good Thai food, this is the place. Proper Thai food, cooked by proper Thai people. Look, it's a tiny restaurant, it's not EastZEast. BTW - the front-of-house guy, Alex, is an absolute legend. I think my wife might leave me for him.

My first time at the Thai Orchid. We ordered a banquet for six and we were amazed at the quantity and quality of the food. Would highly recommend.

The starters took 45 mins to come our after ordering, they were prioritising take aways rather than diners, which was really annoying seeing all the food coming out as we were sat there hungry. The food was good when it finally came although starter was cold. Mains were decent but 2 adults 2 kids was £100 with 2 drinks each, a bit pricey for this quality..

Lovely food, we ordered one of the banquets for 2 & there was plenty- soup to start, then a large platter of starters (see photo) followed by 3 main curry dishes with egg fried rice. So tasty & satisfying! This is a really small, old fashioned restaurant. It’s basic but welcoming and friendly. Would definitely recommend for the food.

One of Preston's hidden gems, perhaps lesser known because it only opens Friday and Saturday. You get the impression the chef and the staff are running the place out of pride and a desire to share exquisite food with those wise enough to visit. The menu is fairly extensive and everything sounds unbelievable. Portions are large, so much so we asked for some to be bagged up and had a brilliant Thai meal at home the next day too! Flavours are as good as any you'll get in the UK! Very reasonably priced and friendly staff. It's a winner.

First time eating thai food, it was amazingly good, I will definitely come back to try more of their food, there are many options for vegans and vegetarians and many the food seems to be freshly cooked. The staff is very professional and the overall experience is a must have. 10/10

One of the best Thai restaurants I've ever visited. You usually have to wait a long time for the food but the portion sizes make up for it. We always take food away with us for the next day. Lovely staff. Nice restaurant. Shame that it is only open 2 days a week

Lovely good here. It's a bit of a gem as it's only open a couple of days each week. The buffet options as a meal for 2 are good but very large and you will end up taking a bag of food home

A wonderful Thai, small (cosy) and consistently delicious food. We've been going there for years (the scoffing group is a mix of meat eaters & vegetarians) and Thai Orchid never fail on quality. Fresh ingredients, friendly service, nothing too much trouble. You never leave hungry!

Great meal and service. Rang the night before to book a table and although they couldn't offer us the time we wanted they offered an earlier time which suited just fine. The service was impeccable and the food delicious. Would definitely recommend but book well in advance.

Me and my two friends are regulars. Alex (one of the servers) is always fantastic and has much charisma and charm. The food is always incredible and we always have a great time. The set menus are awesome - just make sure you bring your appetite (don't worry though, they pack up what you can't eat so you can eat it at home). Try the satay chicken, the Pad Thai and the Massaman curry for sure. I will try the penang curry next and I will report back.

I cannot really comment as I have never visited/eaten at the Thai Orchid on Cannon Street in Preston. However I have walked past it many times and I must say that it looks like a restaurant that is well worth visiting. I have looked at the menu in the window and it looks mouth watering. It is not too expensive either and offers a wide range of Thai food. It is nice inside as well. I would recommend a visit to The Thai Orchid restaurant on Cannon Street in Preston.

Lovely tasty main meal but waited a long time for both starter and main. Waiter did apologise and give nibbles but then forgot portion of rice. Starter platter mostly deep fried. Back room a little claustrophobic. So food good, service poor.

I felt dubious at first judging from the outside as it looks a bit dingy - however I am so glad we gave it a try. The staff were friendly, attentive and very polite - and the food was served in a timely manner. The food was also delicious, I was pleasantly surprised. The portions were also very healthy. 100% recommend.

Lovely, traditional and cozy little restaurant with delicious food and attentive service. We had a banquet for two which was very good indeed, we were unable to finish the whole lot because we were full up. Prices very reasonable. I'm sure we'll be going there again soon.

Went for a birthday shindig tonight. 9 of us in total. I can honestly say, we had the best time. The food was amazing (although a tad spicy for some)! We were served by a young gentleman who was attentive and pretty funny. The food arrived in a timely manner, and the drinks quicker still. The place was relatively full most of the evening, around 70/80% and although there was only one person expediting meals and dealing with all drinks, we were looked after fully. Will definitely return again

Not great, very dated & expensive

Just had a green curry with duck, peppers and coconut milk and it was so good! Pretty spicy but not too much and generous portions too. The service was also excellent and my friends also loved their food.

Best Thai food in the area. Probably due a refurb but the decor adds to the atmosphere and should not distract from the quality and taste of the excellent food. Not the cheapest but definitely worth it. Highly recommended
