Incredible flavours, food, service and atmosphere. The restaurant has an authentic Spanish feel, Jamon hanging from the ceiling, exposed brickwork, and one of the best playlists I've heard in a restaurant for a while (familiar songs with a Spanish/Flamenco twist).
Service was fast, attentive and friendly, one small error with the drinks order but that was rectified immediately without hesitation.
The staff were very knowledgeable about the menu and came across as incredibly passionate, which is refreshing and encouraging.
We started with a selection of pintxos, which can certainly be shared between 2, making it very easy to try several dishes... We ordered the Prawn and Anchovy, Jamon and Manchego, pork belly and ox cheek Empanadilla to start.
All were perfectly prepared, providing big, bold flavours that quite literally took me back to my time in Spain! (Like the Ratatouille bloke!)
After a bit of a rest we decided to try the patatas bravas, chorizo croqueta and some more pintxos... We actually ordered the Prawn and Anchovy, Empanadillas and the Pork Belly again, they were that exceptional!!
We also decided to try the octopus, which was mind blowingly good.
We finished with churros AND cheesecake (with sherry) both of which were just exquisite and finished the meal perfectly.
We finished our drinks whilst talking with the Head Chef/Owner who made us feel incredibly welcomed and like we had been a hundred times before.
Pintxos is easily the best Spanish food I've eaten outside of Spain. We will definitely be back, the sooner the better.
Would taken more photos but we were a bit distracted by the incredible food!
Cafe has to be clean and hygienic for me to enjoy a meal out. This was such a place. I felt comfortable sitting in this cafe on my own (not always the case) and I thought the food was excellent at good prices.

Me and my daughter ventured out for a lunch but I was very disappointed with the choice. Although my daughter’s meal was good my salad was inedible. After waiting for 25 minutes I was presented with canned tuna salad! When I did bring this to the attention of the staff I was told “sorry to hear this, it would be £27”. Not going back
Not sure what happened to Once Was Lost! We went last year (summer 2022) with friends and had really great and tasty tacos outside. The atmosphere was busy and fun, staff were attentive.
However, visiting in February 2023 and it was a completely different feel. Staff did not greet us when we entered or give us any clue they knew we were there. We asked if they had a table and they disappeared to prep a table. After sitting down we were given a menu and apparently they only do pizzas now? Not sure why they’ve had a menu revamp as the tacos were fantastic and unique. Ordered drinks but the coke tasted more of the soda mixer. We ordered 2 garlic breads which came out at different times and when pizzas came they had got the toppings wrong on 2 pizzas. We made do as we were in a rush. The pizzas were tasty and straight from the oven. They did have a very charred/burned taste and also came out at different times to one another.
Staff felt inexperienced. Simple customer service things were not done but they were not rude. Staff were friendly. Pricing seemed fair.
Beautiful Nepalese curries and starters, plus the lady serving us was lovely. They serve panipuri which I’ve always wanted to try, the server explained how to eat it properly. I was not disappointed, it was really flavourful and a unique experience for me. We also got momos to share and all three of the Nepalese curries, all of it was delicious with tender meat and rich flavours. Would definitely recommend
Cannot rate the food highly enough, fresh grilled foods, spectacular tabbouleh salad, pizza also on point. Basic seating and decor adds to vibe of being a hidden gem... not so hidden as theres usually a short wait for a table!
I was on the lookout for vegan cake and was not disappointed. Not only was this chocolate cake bloody lovely but there were multiple cake options to choose from. Definitely recommend a visit.

Beware of the dips! Their pricing is not transparent.
So here is how dips work in this place: you order alioli, or hummus, whatever, and you get a huge bowl of the dip (which is great) with a little bit of pita bread.
Just enough bread to eat 1/4 to 1/3 or your dip bowl, basically.
And, of course, the pita bread refill is... 8£.
So whatever you thought you were paying for you dip is not actually what you'll end up paying for it.
It's up to you to decide if a hidden cost of 8£ is a detail or not.
Apart from that, the place is lovely and the food is absolutely delicious, if overpriced.

The food was absolutely amazing. Can't fault it. The table, however, was slightly sticky and unpleasant. We should have asked a member of staff to give it a wipe in hindsight. Drinks were pricey (but everywhere is these days). The toilets were very clean and hygienic. I'd definitely visit again.
Absolutely wonderful authentic Spanish food. Beautifully presented and tasted delicious. Good value too. All four of us really enjoyed it.
It's a lovely place with professional and friendly staff.

Ordered a bacon sandwich, came with 2 rashers of bacon. Absolutely terrible. Do they think that’s acceptable when you’re paying 3.50? day light robbery. Typical foreign cafe mugging us right of. Will be making this known locally
