First time visit last night, great little restaurant, friendly manager and very helpful. Talked us through the dishes that were special to the restaurant and that convinced us to go with them. Starter portion sizes were huge, the mono’s were to die for… Excellent curry’s the Tama with bamboo shoots was very tasty and the Everest chicken was too and the size of Everest… very reasonable. Will definitely be going back..

We were seated by the most friendly staff. We ordered and our food came decently quickly. The portions were great.To say the food was nice is and understatement it tasted exceptionally lovely. Make sure you order the dosa!

This is a great find. I was on a rare trip to Preston and was wanting some food which wasn't too expensive. I walked past this place and it appeared to fit the bill, so I gave it a try with no expectations. I ended up having a really beautifully meal, mixed with fresh tasty balanced spices, friendly staff and all for sensible money. It's certainly worthy of a full five star review and I hope to be back soon to try more of the menu.

Great food, really friendly atmosphere, and friendly service. The chicken chilli momos were unreal, the butter chicken was rich and creamy, and the spice was perfect - not too hot but full of flavour! Would definitely return and recommend

After having many lunches on my own I bought two friends for dinner yesterday. We ordered chicken and pork dumplings, onion bhajis and egg fried rice. The bhajis were the best I've ever had, so fresh and crispy. The dumplings were delicious and the spicy sauce was just the right amount of spice for me. Never had such amazing egg fried rice,made fresh with nuts and spring onions and other ingredients, absolutely perfect. Can't recommend this lovely little restaurant enough. A fantastic find down a side street in Preston city centre 👍😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋

Found this place by chance. Incredibly friendly and informative staff who could explain the full menu if needed, including great recommendations. Dosa and Momo starters were awesome. Fantastic main curries made to specifications when ordered too, including spice level required. Used to travel a fair distance to get Indian and Nepalise food this good!! Will now become our regular! Definitely recommended!!!

We can see why this restaurant has such good reviews. We had a lovely meal here on a Saturday evening. My wife and I tried an assortment of dishes (starters and mains) and were impressed with all of them. It has a nice "buzz", the staff were really interested in you asking how you would like each particular dish (med, hot or mild) and the food was first class. We will be back! Thank you 🙏 Tip: it isn't the biggest of venues circa 30 covers so book in advance if you don't want to be disappointed - we went on a Saturday evening and it was full.

We often visit this little gem of a place all the way from Clitheroe and it’s totally worth it. Absolutely love their hospitality, always welcoming, smiling and friendly service. All of the menu items are DELICIOUS , personal favourite is Murgh Monal Tikka and chatpate, it gives me Nostalgia. Husband’s favourite is chicken chettinad and lemon rice (which is off the menu now but they were so kind to make it for us) Momos are amazing too- my son absolutely loves them. Butter chicken and Butter Naan was my daughter’s favourite. All in all best Nepalese…could not take pictures because we couldn’t wait 😉 We shall see you soon on next cheat day 🤣

Excellent food, (a little on the spicy side for my basic palette but I still) couldn't stop eating the Masala Dosa! Cosy comfortable location with nice décor. And especially excellent, attentive and friendly service.

A small family run business and we had a great experience here. The food was piping hot and true to its roots. The portion size was decent too. Particularly loved the Nepali style food here.

Brilliant food and lovely staff and very fair prices. Me and my friend had the vegetarian momos to start followed by masala dosa and paneer curry and then were kindly gifted jamun for pudding. All courses were superb, so tasty and fresh. The staff member serving was so lovely and I can’t wait to come back. Both the Nepalese and South Indian cuisine was spot on.

Tasty food, lovely ambience and sweet staff

Visited Himalayan Monal tonight with my friend and we were warmly welcomed by a lovely member of staff. It’s a small and cosy restaurant with comfortable seating. Our waiter was knowledgeable about the food and took our order. Unfortunately no alcohol served here so it was soft drinks only. Food arrived quickly and looked amazing. It tasted beautiful and I could not fault anything. I was absolutely stuffed after eating it all and I had such a great time. Thank you.

What a great place! Food was absolutely superb! Perfectly blended spices where you can taste each spice separately and all together those make perfect combination. We had 6 dishes all together. Different momos, dosa and dessert. Every dish was perfect! I asked to add extra spiciness to my dish and that was just how I like it 😊 you also must try the desserts! Home made super fresh. Have to mention the service! Super friendly, knowledgeable staff. All that was 30£. This place will exceed your expectations.

Unbelievably fantastic food at bargain pricing. Only thing I'd say is more poppadoms in the basket for 2.50. Customer Service is absolutely faultless too. The owner is a very gracious host.

This was our first visit to Himalayan Monal but it won't be our last. We were interested to see what was different with Nepalese food. The menu was interesting with a mix of Nepalese/Himali specialities and also some southern Indian and Chinese dishes. After talking with our waiter, we opted for a chicken Himali special curry and a paneer and spinach curry with mushroom rice and a special Himali naan. Everything was really good and the portions were just right.

I have never eaten here before and so glad we decided to give it a whirl. Warmer greeted and picked a table. Server polite and friendly. We ordered a mix of starters and curry plus Nann breads. Amazing food, customer service and interior. After having tried several Indian restaurants in Presron, one of which being Chaiwala (for comparison). I can happily say that Himalayan monal leaves them all in the dust. Not only is the food quality and taste far superior, but the portion sizes are larger too. You definitely get what you pay for here. You won't be disappointed.

Amazing food. All my friends like the food there. We go there every week.

They have a wide variety of vegetarian items. Saag paneer, veg momos and veg chowmin are must try.

Food was lovely but unfortunately it was too spicy for us. The butter chicken was especially spicy and not mild. It didn't have any chillis next to the dish on the menu to indicate this.

Superb dishes and the biriyani is excellent. Will definitely be there again soon.

Since moving to the UK, I've been yearning for Indian food, and Himalayan Monal is when I first experienced the true taste of India

Can’t fault anything food was amazing and delivery was on time and the driver was very friendly and polite

First time using Himalayan Monal was very impressed with food and the delivery timing was a bit dearer than our go to Indian but out son recommended it so we gave a try. However don’t order the popadom basket 2.75 for one half popadoms was not value for money

Amazing experience. Can’t explain in words. The staffs and their service was exceptional. I had lamb chops, himali tikka, lamb choila and many more. It was so so amazing. Everything was so well cooked and was with full of flavors. If you’re round preston its a place to go. It might not be as fancy as any other big restaurants but the the quality of food is not less but even better then so called big fancy restaurants. Highly recommend.
