Perfection. Indian Cuisine and the Jungle like atmosphere done at its best. Swinging chairs was a lovely edition and kept my ADHD self happy. The food was tasty, and although we were told preemptively that the dishes served are small (order 2 or more per person) we found 1 dish and the rice plenty! So very good value for money. They also provided cocktails which were scrumptious. Even the bathrooms were a treat, all decorated to suit the atmosphere throughout. Staff were incredibly friendly! Coming back for sure! Highlighted dishes have to be the Butter Chicken, Treacle Tamarind Fries (Perfection) and the Fish Curry. 5/5

Great atmosphere and appetizing ambience. The food quality is very good. However, portion sizes are on the smaller side considering the price point. Worth a visit for the excellent flavours and pleasant setting, but be prepared for slightly less value in terms of quantity.

Went enroute during our travel. Good atmosphere. Food was ok ; nothing to write home about and fairly pricey for the amount you’d get. They’ve tried to refine Indian food but may have lost some of the soul in translation!

Loved the setup, place is very clean, the food is good, ordered the set menu so managed to get a taste of a variety of dishes, some did lack the spices, but the overall is good, not heavy on the oil which is good. Would definetly recommend a visit.

Really enjoyed our experience at Mowgli Preston. We came in for some food before the football and was extremely impressed. Ray the manager couldn't have done more to give us a fantastic experience. The choice of food and drinks on the children's menu is amazing, even including some fantastic mocktails. The butter chicken and ginger chicken curry's were incredible and were served quickly and piping hot. Can not wait to return soon!!

"Meh".....not a good description of my first visit to Mowgli, but it is highly accurate. For the most part, the food lacked flavour and depth. I had chicken thigh and coleslaw starter, which was the best thing I ate. This was very nice. Then on to the main. I had the lamb curry, which was watery and lacked depth, as did most of the curries. I had coconut ice cream desert which was delicious, but also had some mango sorbet, which again, lacked depth and was tasteless. The price wouldn't have been too bad but a 10% service charge for very inattentive staff was a bit of an affront. Every drink had to be asked for. Only when we'd stacked all the plates did they look to move them. Never asking once if everything was alright. Far to busy huddling together chatting about their weekend whilst we tried to catch their eye. The place is nice, but we did request not to sit on the swings, a bizarre design that I'm sure a minority may appreciate. I wouldn't go again. If I wanted that whole experience, I'd go to dishoom in Manchester. Great food, great atmosphere and great staff. If I was after just a great tasting curry I'd just go to Olive of Sinai, Bukhara or a couple of the items off East is East menu. Can't recommend I'm afraid.

Amazing food, amazing service. It was was our first time there, and hand an amazing experience. Ordered a bit of everything. Would recommend their Lamb Curry, Fish Curry, and definitely Mango Lassi as well. It was for 4 people, we ordered about £133 worth of food, 2 curries for each and a rice for each as well. It was more than enough. Would still recommend to order around this portion though as you can try different foods. We walked in at 6, need to for a bit as it was a Sunday, very crowded. Thank you to our waiter, Chloe-Lou. Amazing service, I enjoyed every bit of it.

Me and my husband came here yesterday after calling up and the waitress said this place is Halal. We ordered our food and they mentioned it is tifin sized so ordering 2/3 is advised. We both ordered butter chicken and Roti bread. All I can say is we were both really disappointed. The Roti wasn't fresh, as being Asian you can tell the Roti was pre heated or a day/two old as it just crumbled away and was dry, when fresh Roti is soft and fluffy. The butter chicken was standard, nothing special. We also ordered a Mango Lassi and the description said it was made from Keser mangoes, after taking a sip, the mango lassi wasn't even sweet and it was more of a bitter taste. Keser Mangoes dosnt taste bitter as I regularly buy them in the summer period and they are super sweet and have a pungent flavour. If you want an authentic style street food then I'd recommend Saffron Street in Blackburn the portion sizes are larger too or if you want a decent curry then East z East down the road. Also, one thing I wasn't a fan of was having dogs in the restaurant, as do the workers even brush the dog hair up and mop up after where it has walked as to me it's a bit unhygienic, or do they leave it till the end of the night? I usually take photos but on this occasion I didn't as I was really deflated by the experience.

I was super excited about this place before going but after having their food I wouldn’t recommend anybody to go this place. The food was not at all good not even a little bit taste of any indian food. Only one thing is common in their food that is sweet even though you are having chicken/prawns/lamb doesn’t really matter. Also in a small tiffin box they are serving food in which quantity is really less. Only one thing which I like the vibe.

This place is amazing…!!! (I don’t often leave reviews but felt it necessary after our experience) The food is outstanding and genuinely fantastic quality with good prices. Service was superb and seems like a great team that work there who can’t do enough for you. Nothing was too much trouble. We are not from the area but will be eating at Mowgli in the future based on our experience at Preston. Special shout out to the staff member (didn’t get his name but possibly a manager as wasn’t in the standard uniform but had a ginger beard) who was fantastic! He made us feel incredibly welcome and has clearly been in the role for years as he was professional yet friendly, knowledgeable and obviously experienced when dealing with people. Staff and management are a credit to the company. Thank you for a great experience!

Fab meal and drinks. A little more pricey than what we normally go for but we'll worth it. Our waiter was attentive but not overbearing and was very knowledgeable about each dish and helped us to choose We will defo be returning. Also there were quite a few Indian people eating there which is a great sign for an Indian Restaurant.

Very happening spot in Preston.

Amazing atmosphere, food and staff are very professional and prompt always with a smile on their faces. The food is like no other, the spices and flavours are Devine and really make you feel you are gaining a true taste of India. If you haven’t been yet you must try it! A lot of variety on the menu, also showing the calories per meal. One of my favourite places to eat for sure.

As a newbies to Mowglies, on first reading the menu we were a little apprehensive about liking the food. The staff took the time to explain the concept and advised us how to order the different dishes which was a big help. We need not have worried, on tasting the first dish that came out we knew we had made a good call to come and try the place out. Every dish was very tasty and nothing disappointed, the treacle fries are to die for. Will be a regular visitor from now on.

Very noisy inside too noisy for me unfortunately showing my age. Staff were friendly and toilets were clean.But not happy with the way food came out. We were told cooked to order but my wifes main course arrived before her starter. While everyone else's starter arrived together. Sorry won't be going back not my cup of tea.

So my friend and I visited Mowgli today in Preston for the first time today and everything was just perfect. As soon as we walked in we were welcomed by a friendly member of staff who offered us a table with chairs... or a table in the window with swings as seats, this has to be tried! Despite there being lots of customers our order was taken in good time and the food... just wow! We ordered the Holy Chow, Goan Fish Curry and the Gunpowder Chicken so we could share and Oh My Days it was wonderful, an explosion of flavours in every way which was cooked to absolute perfection. Very reasonably priced with the option of donating an additional £1 to the Mowgli Trust supporting their house charities, I mean why wouldn't you? All the staff we engaged with were very friendly and genuinely interested in making sure everything was okay. I would definitely recommend a visit and you will not be disappointed. My friend and I will be back for sure. 5 Stars!

Love visiting a Mowgli, decided to go here with colleagues, staff were polite and friendly, food was delicious, lots of choices to pick from the menu. Nice cocktails too. Although the swings look fun, they can be uncomfortable after a while, especially for tall people!

As we walked in a male member of staff was walking out and let the door slam in our faces. So that was a nice start. There were 6 of us in the restaurant, we were a party of two. We had arrived first. Both tables drink trays were on the bar. The same male member of staff decided to take their drinks first and then sit down and take the order. After a few minutes I went to get the drinks myself. They had been on the bar quite a while. The 2 women members of staff were friendly enough. But when we asked for the bill it didn't materialise, we had to get up and go to the till ourselves. As I previously mentioned there were only 6 people in the restaurant so there was no excuse. Food was OK. I got a Ruby Wrap which wasn't a wrap. The bread was underneath all the other ingredients so was soggy and couldn't be used to wrap things. It's a shame because we love Indian street food but the whole experience was disappointing so won't be back.

Real nice unique place to eat... all yhe food very tasty and individually flavoured. £53 for 2 people with a drink... so not too expensive... they do add a 'service charge' so dont be fooled into feeling you need to tip, unless you want to tip over the 10% service charge. I would go back!!

Masala chai should never arrive in a tea bag form! Rookie mistake and inauthentic. This was the first thing we ordered. First impression is the most important impression. From then you know it’s downhill with shortcuts.

Just disappointing, have Indian on a regular basis but these dishes had no flavour and definitely not anything Indian about it. Prawn curry was just tomato sauce, had a couple of other dishes but had about half of each as they were just not tasty. Ordered masala chai and revived a tea that didn’t even taste a little bit of masala. Been to Mowgli in London and it is much better!

The food was cold, a frequent problem according to other reviews. Management did not deal with it as I would expect. But the deco is nice.

My better half said some of the food choices were an accurate representation of food experienced in Bangladesh, and I left thinking about the next time we would be coming back!

I had heard a lot of great things about the food at Mowgli's and was really excited to have the opportunity to finally go! The food really didn't disappoint. I really enjoyed it, with a great selection of vegetarian options. I'm not a huge fan of paying a service charge and was less impressed when we were paying a further £10+ for the staff. I believe you should be able to leave a tip if you want too.

I have been excited to dine at mowgli after being recommend a number of times. Fun, bright and stylish restaurant with amazing service. Speedy, helpful and friendly staff. Lovely big smiles. Food was incredible, sat as a party of 6 with 3 fussy eaters. Watching them all enjoy there meal's was ace to see. You could order 4 different meals and each plate will be completely individual. Highly recomend ordering something you dont know. As this is were the best flavors hide.

Just went for drinks. Other half liked the cocktail, Lycee Rose martini, a lot. Couple of tiny rebel in cans. Will come back for food. Nice swing seats in the window. Good decor Friendly service.

O.M.G the food at Mowgli is so different to anything I've ever tasted 😋 we were wisely advised to order at least two dishes each which we did our favourites being the monkey Wrap , Treacle fries , Angry Bird Lamb Chops with Tumeric fries , sticky chicken and the Butter chicken curry 10/10 service was just the best great advise and drinks kept flowing cocktails🍸 were amazing and strong 👍👍 it is street food but portions are just bang on .. the atmosphere was absolutely buzzing and a very friendly place
