Had a meal on the day of new menu-disappointed that there was no choice for plain food except fish and chips!-no Scampi-no Chicken-please relook at this for plain eaters! Beef was tough in parts and the new potatoes with the fish were hard and bland! The duck was amazing as was the Eton Mess-so please please look at putting chicken on your menu -also have a mains salmon that’s not smoked!-on the whole lovely food as always-just needs a few tweeks!

They've got a good range of quality ales, lagers etc, clean, nice seating and great atmosphere, with very friendly staff and good service. They don't serve food other than quality bar snacks, but there's an excellent chippy next door.... Highly recommended 👍

Although busy due to a school group having an end of term treat, service was very efficient and professional. The lunchtime special of plate pie, chips and a side was not just good value but fantastic quality - big chunks of steak! Chips not greasy or oily and portion sizes very generous. Good selection of drinks too.

Very good service and very good food, the owner knew everyone.

Four of us for lunch 1 vegetarian who ordered the soup which was supposed to be vegetarian when it arrived our friend noticed pieces of ham in it! It was replaced with a bowl without ham with apologies thank goodness it wasn’t an allergy problem.

Lovely place and beautiful food. Those triple cooked chips are absolutely amazing. Going back just for them, pool table and nice outside area for pint

Really great night and a special shout out for Max, who made my wife’s night with a special cocktail. Max was attentive through the night, engaging in our conversation and generally being a great host. Will definitely be returning!!!!

I cannot praise the Plough highly enough. Rare to find a place that has brilliant friendly service and the best food all in the most beautiful building. The beer is spot on. Do visit you will not disappointed. Update Ate this Thursday eve 24th Oct. The staff could not be more attentive. The food was exceptional The Plough is a rare find and it is so much more than the sum of it's parts.

Last visit wasn’t great, pleased to report much improved this time round. Special chow mein was really good, massive portion & plenty of meat / prawns. The spring rolls are massive & very good too.

Had my 60th party here and joint retirement do. The staff were great and helpful. The food was brilliant and especially the sausage rolls. Homemade We had our own DJ , Geno, who got yhe party going It's not the cheapest but you get what you pay for

I liked the place for the ambience, it's a different bar from others not where the shakers draw all the affection. As a matter of fact many guests won't even see the action, which is a pity because the cocktails are really good. Yet I had better. The cellar look gives it an interesting atmosphere.
