One of the best Nepalese restaurants I have ever visited with an interesting mix of sub continent standards and Nepalese speialities on offer. All are served by a friendly and chatty group of attentive waiters who are happy to make recommendations. This is our second visit - almost exactly on the anniversary of our first. We are a group of old lags from Macc who return annually for a couple of days' walking and fun. I can see that Gurkha Dining will become a tour fixture for us - and I would certainly recommend it to anyone else with discerning taste buds and a yen for discovering some out-of-the-ordinary options.

We've been coming here over the years and we've never had a bad experience. The staff are lovely, they take care to understand special diets and they are very attentive. You can tell they're proud of their dishes and they take time to discuss the menu, spice strength and ingredients with you which is a really nice touch. Today I had the jackfruit dessert which was a first experience for me - I've previously only had it in a savoury context - and it was delicious. If you ever get chance to go to the end of the month vegan buffet, you won't be disappointed!

My wife and I recently moved to the UK and found this amazing Sri Lankan restaurant. The staff was so friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. We had a takeaway with chicken rolls, lobster balls, chicken curry with mushroom rice, and a jackfruit lamprise. The chicken rolls were crispy and flavorful. The lobster balls were so good, they melted in our mouths. The curry was full of flavor and the rice was perfectly cooked. But the lamprise was the best. It tasted just like home. For dessert we had watalappan. It was super delicious. We highly recommend this place to everyone. The lamprise and watalappan are must tries. This restaurant is truly authentic Sri Lankan cuisin

We visited here back in March as we'd been drinking at the Picturedrome. Last minute decision as the weather was poor, but what a pleasant surprise. Amazingly, it being a Saturday evening, there was just one other couple dining. I am absolutely delighted to see the reviews on here because they are so well deserved. All I remember was that the food was delicious and the chef came out between courses to deliver some tasty nibbles. He described his creation with a real passion. I have the bill and we had the onion bhajis and then the Saag and confit de poulet for mains. A nice bottle of Shiraz was £25. This review has reminded me I need to make a reservation sooner rather than later.

We brought some cheese and onion pies to take home, so so tasty, very generous filling; really fabulous quality. We heated them up for 20 mins in the oven. Lovely! Highly recommend; we are going to order some more as they are very good indeed. The Bakewell tart was also good (huge- shared it !) heated up with ready made custard in the microwave -
