It's really nice for what it is. I haven't eaten here so have not rated the food.

Freezing cold, had to keep my coat on! Wished I'd got gloves! Music way too loud! Had to leave because it was so loud!

This is a pub that is known for its live music on a Friday and Saturday night. Don't expect luxurious surroundings, it's set up to do a job, and does it very well. There are various other bits on on other nights. Quizzes, karaoke etc check their Facebook page for details. One other thing. The very well known and loved landlady will be leaving at the end of Feb 24. Will this mean the pubs demise? Who knows. It will be a sad day if it is.

Lovely friendly pub with live music

Nice pub,; went to watch a band. Dance floor in a strange place so difficult to dance. There was no access to half the pub.

Even though I didn’t buy anything, they were kind, and let me use the toilet but I have bought drinks here in the past and there’s been very nice and well worth my money

We popped in to see an Acoustic set in the afternoon, the pub was fabulous, quirky with amazing attention to detail throughout the pub and the outside areas...very friendly too

No Draught Beer , But ! I found a Czech Lager to my liking , Price was OK, Staff pleasant , Pant Tearer were playing, I enjoyed them ,Busy pub ,Friendly customers

This is a great music venue. Really good vibe. The staff are very efficient and I always have a good time. Wendy, the landlady, is super cool and I've noticed she's always on the ball, having a quiet word if someone gets too leary. Love it.

My favourite pub in Macclesfield. Wendy the landlady and her staff are fantastic and run a brilliant pub with a warm and friendly atmosphere. Love live entertainment and open mic nights.

I went here as I heard there was a band on, which was pretty good to be fair. Good atmosphere, plenty of drink choices which even help you dance to strangely, pool table.

In 2020 I enjoyed my Best birthday en my life here. I was travelling around Europe and spent 3 months in this amazing country, My friends picked me up from Keswick to this place that I Will not forget. All the people was kindle. Regards from Argentina

A busy & friendly pub venue, catering to an alternative crowd. Quite narrow, especially around the bar, so it gets very busy. Sadly, real ale is no longer available.

Id give this place 10 stars if i could, this is how pubs used to be, full of atmosphere, really friendly bar staff, they are a real credit, drove over 200 mile to see my son play his first gig, was not disappointed, best pub ive been to in years, im from down south and not even the pubs down here come close, relaxed atmosphere and great staff, will be visiting again, thankyou guys to you and all the team

Tiny little pub with a games room and covered smokers area. Great for up close and personal live music. Friendly staff too, and a cheap pint. What else could you ask for?

Great pub, friendly staff and good range of drinks. On a Thursday they have karaoke on from 8pm-around midnight which lots of people get involved in. There is a foosball table and a pool table, as well a small courtyard outside smoking area.

Best pub in Macclesfield! Friendly staff and quick service!The-place to go for some drinks and enjoy your time! There is also a pool table. And outdoor area to get some air or for a quick smoke. Free parking after 18:00 2 minutes away! Lots of events happening as well, Monday night there is bingo! And there are also karaoke nights,live music and bandoke night( karaoke with a live band)! The atmosphere is always great and everyone is friendly.

The Wednesday night open mic is a riot! Real talent blending with authentic outsiderness, it's the friendliest open mic I've ever been to and I'll definitely be back

Fabulous night, great music from the Chinese Marbles, smooth bar staff, lovely atmosphere and folk.

Great place to visit later on in the night, offer a good range of activities such as Thursday Karaoke. Staff are very pleasant and offers a great pool room. Good range of drinks!

Now that the Nags has turned into football fan pub, this is the place to be! Great beer, friendly staff, live music, beer garden, good location. A few dodgy looking customers but that's par for the course for a town centre pub.

Great pub, has live music every Friday and Saturday, pool table and a good friendly crowd. The landlord, from Glasgow is a pro, very sociable, mingles with the crowd, loves music, good for the craic. Highly recommended.

They sell beer, what's not to love!!!? The staff are awesome, and the place is very friendly. It's geared towards a live music venue and I've seen some great acts there. It's kind of cool just to drop in and see what music is playing. I've been surprised quite a few times by hearing stuff I'm not into, but really opens my eyes (ears?)!!!! Oh yeah, and did I mention, they sell booze- and bloody lovely it is too.

A great little pub in macclesfield! Live music from some amazing bands every weekend, karaoke on a Thursday and a jukebox with a great selection of tunes! The special events such as bank holiday and charity events are not to be missed! Great for music lovers such as myself and friendly bar staff and landlords!

Most friendly and helpful staff out of all the local pubs. They have a great selection of local bands that play each week and even run events for local events such as Macmillan Cancer support too. It's nice to know there is a good place to go no matter the generation and still have a good time!

It's good if you like heavy rock music but also the people are really nice and friendly🙂
