Fantastic bar in Macclesfield Town centre, friendly staff and a great selection of beers

Great bar, really casaul and chill. Offers great beers, among which they have gluten free as well! (I was having a nice GF lager last time I visited).

Great hospitality. Best hoppy bèer selection in town, wine, and spirits are banging aswell. Bar snacks are all you would want. Lively crowd at weekend.

Lovely place to lie down after a long walk. My humans come here all the time because the beer is great, which is fine with me because the staff always give me the best fusses 10/10

Got there 1 HR 15 mins before closing and was told they weren't taking anymore orders and the bar staff were sat down talking with friends so we left and went elsewhere. Shame because I usually come here often and won't think of it during the week in the future.

Very nasty landlord in this pub, very poor people skills and very unfriendly to me and an English customer who l met there He was quite rude to a nice pleasant customer who l was talking to earlier in the evening in Pizza Express when he was talking to another man about his holiday in Japan and cycling. The beer was quite good but not a pleasant atmosphere sadly. L won't be going there again and neither will the chap l met who was chucked out. Pizza Express two doors away was superb. Also went to MIAS TREACLE BITES which is incredible with a much better atmosphere and excellent food and drink with absolutely superb bar staff including Filip, Rocco & Svet and their mum who is an amazing cook and serves all the food fresh. It is delicious. Her pork or beef goulash is to die for as is her chilli con carne and her lunchtime sandwiches are superb as well especially the ham salad a marvellous bar which is incredibly superior. I did not eat there tonight but l did earlier in the week and it was utterly delicious at MIAS TREACLE BITES, give it a try !! Further down the hill on Mill Street on the RHS opposite The Shamrock.

Really nice vibe for drinks here on a Saturday night, if you can get a seat outside you’re laughing. Really cheap drinks too!

Great beer and amazing atmosphere

Had a staff party here at the end of last year and the space was perfect, food was amazing and staff very attentive. Will definitely return for future functions 🤗

Nice little find - a gem of a bar with a great variety of beers and wines. Sitting out the front having a quiet ale when it’s sunny is a real treat, and downstairs is one of those quirky discoveries you’ll be disappointed if you miss. Great little bar in the heart of Macclesfield not to be missed.

First yesterday, lovely little bar,big range of keg beers and a fridge of cans. Definitely worth a visit.

Nice spot with a good vibe, barman friendly - good variety of beer with 10 taps and some bottles/cans but bit of a samey selection with too many session ales. Would have liked some stout or porter or stronger IPAs this time of year

Loved this bar, it was the location for my nephew's 18th birthday party, we were in the cellar. The owner and staff couldn't have been more friendly. The choice of beer was good as well.

One of my favourite bars in Macclesfield, always have great draught offerings for beer lovers and plenty of other options too. Friendly, knowledgeable staff make you feel welcome and looked after. The cellar seating area is great if you want to stay cool in the summer and has a very unique feel in the town. Part of a great community on Market Place.

Great place to go for a drink after work. Bar can get a bit crowded if people are sat on the stools, but other than that, I recommend going for a drink here, especially if you adventure downstairs!
