The best restaurants serving Default food in Saltwell Gateshead North East

I should have written a review a long time ago since Spice Connection is my local go-to restaurant and takeaway. Its always a pleasure to visit as the staff are so welcoming. The food is of the highest quality, always served piping hot. Takeaways are excellent but if you're nearby I'd definitely take the opportunity to have a meal in the restaurant.

Best Coffee, Amazing pastries, Top Team, Great friendly service, Eco shop and dog friendly. Inside the park above the main field (above the lake). Open Monday to Sunday 8:00-16:00. Sometimes they close early due to bad weather but check their socials to keep up to date. Highly Recommend!!

We stayed here while we were attending a wedding a few miles away. We received the warmest welcome on our arrival, the man checking us in was lovely and made us feel welcome, and interacted with our 2 young children as well. Our room was beautifully decorated, clean and spacious. The beds were comfortable and we all had 2 good nights sleep. We had breakfast on each morning of our stay, the team again were very attentive and welcoming. They lose a star on my rating though as the hash brown on both mornings was so unbelievably salty there were clumps of salt residue on my plate; and the scrambled eggs had an unusual unpleasant taste that I was unable to eat it. The continental breakfast was good though. All in all a lovely visit.

Visited the Nine Pins this week sadly for the wake of a treasured friend. The buffet was excellent - there was a great selection and food was very fresh and tasty. The bar staff were friendly and service great as was the Camden Helles pale ale. Many thanks x

Nice lady serving got the lunch time special kebab butty with chips and gravy but part of the kebab was cold and other hot nice chips though

vegetable burger came with out a bun was a very odd colour and very unappetising, the chips tasted some what stale over all very disappointed with this order and will never order from them again.

Waited 2 hrs for delivery tonight, fair enough it’s bank holiday, but yet again my order is wrong, 2nd time this year, rang up and nicely advised, whole mouthful of abuse, and hung up, will not be ordering from here again, don’t usually leave reviews but don’t waste your money folks!!

Always get fish and chips delivered even tho live quiet far away always piping hot and delicious!! The wait time is a little longer than expected every time but the food is worth the wait i suppose :)
