Best curry fried rice and chips around

I can't normally finish my plate when ordering takeaways but with dragon in I've done so on two occasions going for a third tonite.this will be my regular from now on thanks dragon inn

Not impressed with food, maybe just a bad night or choices

The only place in the area where you can get spicy chilli szechuan sauce, and it's absolutely delicious (and yes, the only reason I even wanted to try was R&M) and ordering it individually makes for an excellent dipping sauce. I was disappointed when ordered lamb with the sauce, as it came with vegetables (individual cups dont) and the meat was a little tough (but that's on me - Im used to lamb from donner kebab that I usually eat with the sauce).

I have just deleted my 5 star review and replaced it with this. For the last 2-3 years this place has been our absolute fave takeaway in which we spend 30-40 a week. However the last 3 or so orders have been simply awful. The meat (chicken wings and spare ribs) have gone from being really nice to absolutly scabby offcuts which taate awful and are full of fatty lumps and gristle. As such we have stopped ordering here as its now disgusting and not worth the money.

Really enjoy the food from here. Have done on every occasion Whenever we call, we collect And it's always been ideal. Prices are good compared to some other places we have purchased from.

Waited hours for it to be delivered and then still didn’t even show up or get delivered! Plus I haven’t even had a refund they straight robbed me out of £22 I wouldn’t recommend this at all worst Chinese ever! And if your reading this I want my money back!

Always go back here after trying elsewhere. My son is coeliac so they sort his food out to be gluten free. He’s never ill. Tried other places as it’s been a Tuesday but I always find it the best. Fave is deep fried crispy beef in Cantonese sauce and mixed meat in oyster sauce with boiled rice a few mini spring rolls.

absolutely disgusting service placed an order @6.30pm on just eat delivery time was 19.25 @ 19.30 got a notification to say it was delivered tried ring the restaurant as my order hadn't been delivered each time I rang it was engaged eventually jump in the car and went down to find my order @20.45 still sitting on the front desk and they hadn't even started my order was told there had stop taking orders and stopped answering the phones good luck ordering from this place will never be order again

Good never turned up and resturant left phone off the hook so could not contact them terrible customer service stay clear

Bad food 😡 paid 35 pounds but I and my children can not eat .They put a lot salt 🧂 all the food is very salty, my children even hate it and don't want to eat it 😞😞 lose my money .Food still full no one want eat it

Absoloutley pathetic. Ordered a munchie box plus a portion of salt and pepper chilli chips. The chips were just normal so I paid nearly 3 times the price for regular chips. The munchie box had hardly anything in it, they tried to say its the same as always but its definitely not because I would never had ordered that again if it was like that the other times. Phoned to complain and all they did was offer chips for next time, as if we want them again.

Order never arrived! Says delivered but not to my house! Will have to cook food now because my food did not arrive and I paid £10.80 for nothing! Am angry, my dogs inconvenienced as delivery was due by 10:10pm at latest and so I waited at home instead of walking dogs. I rang but nobody answered . Its now 11pm and still no sign of my food! I paid £10.80 and got nothing!

Food arrived a hr late so was given it and also refunded from just eat food itself was nice we got a munchies box I think I would give it another chance but if food was not on time would not order again and the Curry had a very gingery taste but other stuff was nice once heatead.

Bloody vile! Its like it was cooked a week ago and sent out. Im sorry but never again. Feel i could get sick from eating it.

Partner is in hospital atm and is very picky so she ordered from here on just eat, stated shes in the hospital in the address section, paid by card, they accepted her order and took her payment for them to then ring her 5minutes later saying that they will not deliver for her and wont be able to get a full refund... yous should start reading the addresses of where they going too before you take someones money as this is disgraceful

Just had a beef meal with egg fried rice. Value for money.

Ordered yesterday mainly because there was no where else open, food is ridiculously priced, chips were horrible and they forgot one of our meals and it's not the first time it's happened. Definitely last time

I know it's Saturday, but ordering food at 7:45pm and it not being here by 10:00pm is absurd. If it ever turns up, and if it's nice I will up the rating, otherwise this is a solid 1 🌟 Update: It eventually turned up at 10:15. 2.5 hours for it to be delivered. To top it, the restaurant won't even refund the £1.50 delivery cost. Avoid! If you're after a Chinese, I've had good experience with Double K. I shouldn't have tried something new.

Always used this chinese and enjoyed the food but this past year standards definitely dropped , food not as nice quality not the same .going to look for a new place !

Areet a suppose a only gan for the salt and chilli chips but ya cannit have them bye the sell so a get the salt and pepper chicken, battered chicken and king prawn balls mini spring rolls,chicken fried rice carton of curry and a carton of noodles. Tell u what it gans down a treat wash it down with a few tinnies jobs a good in. If you're ordering on a Friday order early cause it gets canny busy and can wait a fair bit for delivery

Christmas Eve our usual chinese wasn’t taking delivery orders so tried this place, food arrived within about an hour & a half (expected at this time of year) food was red hot and absolutely delicious, will definitely be using this takeaway from now on, thank you

Would give 0! Took 1 hour 30 mins! When on the phone was told it would be 10 mins! Then a knock at the door! !!!!!! Why say 10 mins! Why not say the truth!

Very salty food. after waiting 1hr for it it turned up in a pizza box and tasted like salt had been poured over it. I know I order salt and chilli chicken but this was unreal.. 90% got thrown in bin

Very nice Chinese takeaway. Sweet and sour chicken and mixed vegetables with black bean sauce was both very nice, hot and fresh. Chips and fried rice was also very good. My first experience of dragon Inn.

Ordered food at 6:30, was told food would come by eight. Didn’t arrive until after 9 and lady on phone was very dismissive when we rang to ask where it was!

spent £23 pound last nite not even a free bag of prawn crackers or mini rolls

Waited over 2 hours for delivery. Rang to be told it is on its way... 40 mins later called again to be told he is nearly there i think he is outside!!!!! He wasnt there, now over 2 hours late

I order from here all the time I'm actually disappointed tonight I waited 2 hours for delivery my food was freezing I got the wrong order even no I had states twice on the phone I wanted beef in garlic butter ended up with dried up seeds not happy at all disgusting customer service was alot better 6 month ago .

I have been waiting an 1hr 20 mins for my delivery and it still hasn't arraived it's a disgrace ordered when I was at work so would be here when I got in won't be ordering again

Ordered chicken curry, chicken balls and satay sauce, chicken egg food yung. All came with either rice or chips. Portions well big fed us for 2 days. Good delivery service for £1.20. Not a single fault. Will use again 😊

Ordered through just eat, food came delivered within 30 minutes of ordering. Very tasty duck and chicken curry with huge portion could easily have fed 2

Delivery took almost two hours and when I called the restaurant to ask where my delivery was I was met with a rude and unprofessional attitude. Poor service.

After Family Cooking closed, the Dragon Inn has become my go to Chinese takeaway in Gateshead. The food, so far has been consistent and tasty. Good, efficient, friendly and quick service over the counter. Recommended, until I find better.

Always great food, never had any complaints and been using them for years now. Try the Salt & Chilli Crispy Chicken. Awesome.
