The best restaurants serving Default food in The Lane Southwark London

I visited Bar OM on 29/09/2021. The customer service was outstanding, I was greeted at the entrance by a very friendly staff member, the food was absolutely delicious and reasonably priced. We ordered a few dishes for the table to share: grilled octopus, tiger prawns, grilled squid, chicken skewers, vegetarian spring rolls, Vietnamese baguettes, I also tried Vietnamese coffee, which is now my new favourite. The atmosphere was super relaxing, I loved how the place was decorated with lots of plants. Bar OM is situated in a very convenient location, it’s about 5 minutes walk from Peckam Rye Station. We were very lucky to get a table for six people as at about 8pm the place was full. It’s my favourite spot in Peckam and I will definitely be back.

This place is amazing the food is very good, the staff is friendly. I enjoyed the music the food everything.

Excellent service by Maxine and the team. Catered to our request, music was great old skool hip hop/RnB mix it was a vibe. The food was lovely, freshly cooked and beautifully presented. There was choice for the various requested and it was divine. The rum punch was punching and it was a very lovely evening until closing. Thank you all for making us feel so welcome and I look forward to visiting again soon

Cocktails were great, bar staff amazing. The major downfall was when I was greeted by security she was abrupt and her breath reeked of alcohol, our night was quickly improved by the staff inside.

Los tiempos de espera no eran más de 10 minutos para sentarse, pero los tiempos de espera de la comida eran de unos 30 a 35 minutos. El pollo suele tener más sabor pero estaba picante. Las patatas fritas estaban un poco blandas, pero Sabrina llegó y sacó unas frescas (porción decente y cocinadas a la perfección, junto con una puré que había pedido). La espera fue un poco larga, pero estaba muy atenta y muy ocupada. Una joven con el pelo rojo era bastante servicial a mis peticiones y cubiertos y platos se repusieron sin necesidad de ser preguntado. Volveré, tal vez un poco antes. 7 / 10

Service was really great. And there's a nice vibe. But - Food was completely and utterly yawn worthy. I'm totally ok with overpriced small plates if they pack a punch and are interesting enough to make you go "Oh yummmmm!!!". But levan left me wanting a LOT more. 80% was totally edible and pleasant - so If the dishes weren't so absolutely miniscule there is a chance I could have left slightly more satisfied. But ultimately I left the building as a hungry, bored and poor man.

No puedo mentir - algunos absolutamente golpeando platos aquí, pero los bollos de bao son en realidad lo peor del menú. No me malinterpretes, siguen siendo buenos, pero todos los lados son mejores. Consigue un bollo bao para probar, pero consigue una variedad de lados. Costillas de maíz, patatas fritas, pollo, cualquiera de sus especiales, pepino golpeado. En realidad no puedo creer que quitaran las costillas de maíz del menú por un tiempo aquí, quien haya tomado esa decisión necesita hablar seriamente.

We were very much looking forward to come back here as we used to go regularly. It used to be rustic, relaxing and great tapas. The whole experince was chaotic as one waiter desperately tried to throw out food that was overcooked, dry and with zero love put in. To fail with such basic dishes and then charge 10 pounds per plate is a disgrace. When we complianed about a dish the staff just shrugged their shoulders with a smile and a knowing look before taking it away. No owner or manager in sight. Such a shame!

Me encantó este lugar mientras visitaba, y la variedad de platos era realmente genial. El servicio fue atento y el ambiente era bueno. Desafortunadamente, llegué con intoxicación alimentaria de los wontons, y en retrospectiva, estaban bastante fríos en el medio, pero todo lo demás estaba tan bien cocinado que asumí que esto era intencional. No volveré por esto, ya que me preocuparía que volviera a pasar.

Wanted a Chinese for our last night in UK, before returning to the USA. Based on reviews we took an Uber from our airport hotel, having called ahead to reserve a table (something you should do). This place gets busy ! The speed of our service suffered due to this, but we didn’t have time constraints. BIG DIFFERENCE !!! The entree dishes are small, but are priced fairly. You could easily order 3 or 4 for 2 people. Our duck with pancakes was very good, as was my special chop suey (not a lot of protein content), but my wifes chow mein, while tasty, was very dry. When questioned the server said this was their normal style and sauce could be added by ordering a ‘special’ chow mein. A few tweaks here and there and this could be an excellent Chinese.

Tuvimos la noche más increíble aquí! El ambiente era perfecto, cálido, animado y justo para una cita. Steve era fantástico, asegurándose de que todo estaba en el lugar. Las bebidas eran de primera categoría, la comida deliciosa, y toda la noche con mi novia se sintió sin esfuerzo. ¡No puedo esperar a volver!

Un lugar realmente encantador, pero la noche que fui, el personal estaba desesperado. Fueron muy amables pero confundieron nuestro pedido, trajeron nuestros pedidos en diferentes momentos, así que terminamos dejándonos enfriar mientras llegaban el resto de los pedidos.

Cada plato que comía me sentía cuidadosamente considerado. No añadiría ni quitaría nada. El personal era increíblemente orientado al detalle y considerado. Sentí que tenía mi dinero.

Cené en este restaurante con mi esposa la semana pasada y tengo que decir que el ambiente es excelente, el personal atento y la comida muy sabrosa. Teníamos hamburguesas y carne de cerdo y ambos fueron increíbles. Volveré la próxima semana con algunos amigos más.
