The best restaurants serving Default food in The Lane Southwark London

Have recently moved to Nunhead and this is the 4th time I have been in here each time hoping for an improvement in staff attitude. The staff particularly the dark haired boy are unfriendly to the point of rudeness, they seem very good at chatting among themselves and to their trendy mates but can barely be bothered to serve me or make my coffee. I am middle aged but went onto a super trendy coffee place in Brick Lane at the weekend and the young fashionable staff were friendly, smiley and helpful. The same in East Dulwich. I am sorry as I would've been into this cafe daily if it had felt ,ore welcoming.

Recomiendo la chapata de picnic que tiene un valor increíble con un relleno abundante (!) Y hay excelentes pasteles para llevar con un hermoso parque enfrente para comerlo todo. La señora que lo dirige es muy educada y amable a pesar de los desafíos actuales. Recoja un poco de detergente líquido de recambio u otros productos básicos mientras esté allí.

Este es un buen bar, pero la zona exterior es tan desordenada. Lleno de camada y plantas muertas parece que no ha sido barrido o ordenado desde el invierno. Hay una camada muy vieja recogida en los árboles que estaba allí hace meses cuando se visitó por última vez.

Came down the pyrotechnics arms for a roast dinner with family for the afternoon and was not disappointed the staff were very friendly the food was excellent and we didn’t wait that long for the food to come out even though the pub was very busy. We will definitely be back

Best greasy spoon: very popular with locals and construction workers. Breakfasts here are brilliant. Service is very friendly. Instant coffee but makes a great cup!!

It’s not awfully easy to find as it is located within another building. We walked in and were greeted by a very friendly waitress who let us choose where to sit. We ordered the pork gyoza and fried chicken to start. It came out very quickly and was very tasty. For main we had ramen and katsu curry, both of which were very tasty. A waiter came over and chatted to us to make sure all was good with the food. He also kindly offered me a knife and fork as I am hopeless with chopsticks, and did not make me feel silly about it at all! After we finished, the waiter came to speak to us again, he was so lovely and offered us a dessert on the house. Overall we had great food and a great experience. I would highly recommend this restaurant for dinner or a quick bite!

Best rooftop in London. Amazing food and drinks, best view.

First time back in a few years and first time having dinner. Aussie manager made a great wine suggestion and we shared six sharing plates. The artichoke parmesan dip and smoked mackerel mousse were standouts. Front is less noisy, so recommend sitting there if wanting an intimate meal.

Ambiente agradable y sociable, servicio educado rápido y sabrosa selección de carne y opciones vegetarianas, todos los cuales eran realmente sabrosos, con sabores individuales pronunciados, definitivamente no soso. BYO alcohol. Los precios de los alimentos y el tamaño de las porciones eran muy razonables. No una cantidad excesiva, pero un plato bien equilibrado para cada huésped y todo delicioso. Bien hecho a todo el equipo, estamos dispuestos a volver!

So delicious love this place soooo much must get my Filishack fix every week. The food is freshly made for each order and the flavours are delicious and fragrant. I looove the Filishack fries but opt for the salad box atm for health and it’s perfect!

Everything was amazing except trip to toilet. Toilet seat lid was missing and there was a massive mess.

Proper British Pub. No food, no service. But a good environment for get-togethers with work mates after work.

Came with my family today, service was absolutely amazing and food was really good, our host lost on was very attentive and it’s definitely somewhere where I’ll return

Fantastic place to visit and enjoy authentic Mexican cuisine. The chicken burrito rice box was a delicious meal! A combination of chicken, rice, and burrito ingredients served in a convenient box format. It's a popular option for those who enjoy the flavours of a burrito but prefer a bowl-style presentation. Polite staff and excellent service. The food hall is Dog-friendly too... 🐕 I highly recommend it.

La pizza italiana más auténtica que he comido en Londres. La gente que lo dirige es gente italiana de verdad y la pizza que hacen es algo fuera de este mundo. Las pizzas están perfectamente cocinadas y bien cargadas. El precio es bueno para la calidad que usted está recibiendo. Realmente recomiendo esta pizzería, ya que todo el mundo es muy amable y te hacen sentir como en casa y la pizza es increíble.
