Yada’s Green Kitchen in Southwark

Come a las 6. 30 pm un viernes por la noche. Ambiente agradable y sociable, servicio educado rápido y sabrosa selección de carne y opciones vegetarianas, todos los cuales eran realmente sabrosos, con sabores individuales pronunciados, definitivamente no soso. BYO alcohol. Los precios de los alimentos y el tamaño de las porciones eran muy razonables. No una cantidad excesiva, pero un plato bien equilibrado para cada huésped y todo delicioso. Bien hecho a todo el equipo, estamos dispuestos a volver!

Cosy interior but food is really banging average. Reminded me of school dinners, every main seems to come with rice, salad and another side. Of your looking to share dishes on the table, this isn't very helpful as it all tastes the same. Also the portions of meat that come as the main are a joke. Overall just really poor food.

Spent £34. Ordered a takeaway. When I got home food there was some food missing. When I called up I was told to come and pick it up. My response was well I’m home now wanting to eat by the time I go back pick it up and go home my food will be cold. Then I was told what do you want me to do I do not work in the kitchen. My problem is why is an order not checked?! Then I get told to call the owner. Which I will not do because if that is their staffs attitude I believe I will not get the same from the owner. Not sure why it’s ok to take full payment for something and not give what has been paid for and to give an attitude when being asked how the missing item can get to me today. The response you can pick up another time when I do not live around area was laughable.

I ate here with two friends for dinner and thought the food was very good, not too expensive and loads of veggie options. We ended up paying £17.50 each after splitting the bill and I was full. The Dalooja and pistachio hummus were both really nice as was the Kifta Birwesh (a kind of dumpling stuffed with soy mince sitting in a vegatable stew) and the Yaprakh (aka Kurdish dolma). I've been twice, the first time the bread served with the starters was steaming hot as if it had just come out the oven and it was incredible, the second time it was still very fresh but a little bit colder - still delicious though.

I love Yadas, the food is beyond delicious and weekend visits were always vibes. This Wednesday, first impressions were all smiles and warmth, we chose inside for that reason, only to find there was a bit of a chill. She said she wanted the naan bread so we got the naan bread and then, what do you know, she doesn’t like the naan bread. So I, like any reasonable person would, try the naan bread - and I don’t love the feeling of it either, I know naan and I know it can be better. I want to swap the naan bread, she doesn’t want me to. But I know naan bread, I’ve known naan bread well, my friend has been selling naan bread for 5 f-ing years and, whatever the cuisine, crunch in the middle and chewy on the outside isn’t naan. Naan bread is meant to be delicious and fluffy and light and make you feel good. They say when you eat good naan bread, you just know it’s good naan bread. Staff were excellent and offered to bring more naan bread, but we should’ve been alert to the inevitability of subsequent naans meeting the same challenges. Sometimes, when you love naan so much, the hope for better eclipses the reality of the situation. But the course of creating good naan never did run smooth. Centuries and cultures have shaped it and based themselves around the sharing of it. Even something so simple and staple as naan isn’t exempt from the impact of the war waged today.. Ultimately all naan deserves respect, and mistakes offer opportunity for learning. We plan to return on a weekend with friends and remain clear-eyed but ever hopeful for a better naan. Thanks guys

Errr,, where’s the six star button, goddamn this was good. Ask for the chicken and potatoes and you might just find yourself in culinary heaven

We booked a table for 8.45 and surprisingly the table was ready at 9.15. Food is okay, nothing special to be honest, it used to be much better when they were on the other side of the street. Pistachio humus is still fantastic though.

Menu looked promising and we normally love food of this kind but left disappointed. The Baba Ganush was dominated by minty taste that didn’t seem fresh and was more like mint sauce. The humous range was very good but all versions we were served tasted overwhelmingly salty and no other flavours came through. My falafel wrap was BIG and pretty good but again the salt was the over powering everything else. My sweet potato fries were absolutely terrible. They managed somehow to be both over cooked and soggy at the same time rather than nice and crisp. I wish them well and hope the feedback helps to improve the food.

Such fantastic food, good portion size, service was great, great value for money, overall we had a fantastic evening here and will definitely be returning! The lamb wrap was incredible and BYOB keeps the cost down.

Lamb Shari was great, as was chicken kebab wrap. Staff nice. Good music. Cheap, especially as BYOB. No complaints at all

Amazing food, really reasonably priced. There are a lot of meat and vegetarian options so caters to most dietary requirements. And bring your own booze, can’t complain! Would definitely go again.

Our second time here. Both times before heading to the Mighty Peckhamplex for a film. Good location, friendly service, great value. And... excellent food. We just had Lamb Qawarma (lamb in spicy pomegranate sauce) and Lamb Shifta (almost a Lamb burger). Served on rice with salad. Outstanding. Both ate well for £17

A wonderful discovery. Fantastic selection of Kurdish food with great vegan and veggie options. Great atmosphere and a great location. Can't wait to return when the balcony is open.

Walking down a dark graffiti filled alleyway in peckham is not instictively what one might do to find a place to eat, but Yada's is a different world inside and is worth a visit. the food is very good. No alcohol licence so you can bring your own at no charge. Food very good, ... did I say that already. Ambiance inside great.(it was busy at 18:30 on a Sunday) price was good. Staff were very friendly. Somewhere worth trying without a doubt.

The food here is really tasty and also a bit unusual. Everything we had was delicious, including the excellent breads. BYOB which is always nice, and the price are really cheap for how good the food is. Loses one star for the deeply bad service, but that's not why you come to a place like this.

We arrived here quite late and luckily one of the waitresses who was really helpful, told us to come back in 10 minutes and a table would be ready. We came back and it was so much fun, the service was so quick! The food was so so tasty and the BYOB aspect was so fab. Would recommend hands down.

I would definitely recommend this restaurant BYOB and foods was delicious. We arrived at 4pm and there was no rush for us to leave, I will definitely be going back. The service was also very good, thank you.
