Costa Coffee in Southwark

Been there today în the morning, they're website says that they are opening 06:30 AM and I was there at arround 07:15 and was closed. SHAME ON COSTA CAFFE, YOUR STAFF REPRESENT YOUR NAME. I often ( every morning) get coffee from different branches, but this one ..., no way, it's a shame.

I haven’t gotten my order and it’s saying delivered

I don't like the security presence, it makes me feel uneasy,though I understand they probably need it.

Staff totally ignored me, there wasn't even a queue...I walked away in disbelieve, bought my coffee at Greg's, just as good and cheaper 👍

It's simply tragic that in the year 2024, in a place like this with so many daily customers, there's no free WiFi! Unbelievable!!! And when I asked why there's no network, I just got the following response: "It works, you just can't connect..." Fortunately, there are other cafes that don't deceive you! Such a shame!

I have been in this brunch this morning for breakfast I took 2 crossants and a cappuccino. The croissants were tasteless,bread was better at that point.Whatever company is supplying them with this diabolical no sugar-o butter, cheap is not always good . The staff are amazing , very gentle and available when you require their attention.Especially Farhan

Every time I’ve come to this costa the woman who usually wears her hair in a bun, brown skin brown hair. Refuses to bring my coffee to the end of the bar where you’re supposed to wait. She makes me walk through customers trying to order to pick my drink up at the till. In every costa I’ve been to you wait at the end and collect your drink. Even taking my order she’s cold, no smile no please and thank you. I have no idea what this woman’s problem is. Maybe she just doesn’t like her job or she’s unhappy in life. Either way either have a word with her or get rid. It’s not the energy I need coming to grab a coffee in the mornings. I wonder is her problem with me or just the world?

Costa is one of my favourite coffee shops, but this branch (or should I say the customer service) is appalling. My usual order is a medium one shot skinny latte, which the lady at the till repeated back to me and I confirmed my order again. She relayed my order to her colleague who was preparing the drinks. I saw the lady making the drinks grab a small latte glass, so I said that I’d ordered a medium. No response. She poured the latte in and put it on my tray. This time I said, “Sorry, I ordered a medium.” Again no response, so I said it louder. She looked at me with disdain and proceeded to pour in the other shot of espresso! Again I repeated what I’d ordered and she then looked at her colleague who took the order. The lady who took my order apologised and said she’d misheard me - even though she’d repeated it back to me and I’d confirmed!? But I accepted her apology as these things happen. But the lady making the drinks was not happy at all and was looking at me with utter contempt. At this point I’d had enough of her attitude and asked what her problem was, this was when the other lady told her to make my drink as I’d requested. I didn’t manage to read the name badge of the lady with the attitude problem (and lack of customer service skills) - but it began with an S and she was wearing a hijab. I rarely visit this branch even though it is my “local” and this latest experience has done nothing to change my opinion.

Got a Latte and Mocha, both were great. Delivery Driver was much faster then expected and was friendly and greeted me with a nice smile.

Good atmosphere and decent service. However, it is let down by the flies! Couldn't even sit down with a cup of coffee for an hour without having to swat the air every 30 seconds.

Food and drinks were nice but staff members were dismissive and slightly rude. Tables were dirty and not cleaned.

I love costa in general. Some places are cosy, pretty and quiet. This one in Peckham is nice but too much busy but service is fast and efficient. They work as team trying to serve as soon as possible.

The toastie is a bit tough and stretchy.

It’s reason you gave me hot chocolate so late after almost 2 hour. But I am fine and enjoying with hot chocolate.

Nice enough, the frappe I got was fine, but the staff were unfriendly. The girl who took my order barely spoke to me and it felt a bit like I’d interrupted the conversation she was having with her coworker. I get that it was probably the end of their shift, they’d have been tired and maybe something had happened earlier but even so you should still make a little bit of effort when dealing with customers.

My order has not been delivered to reception as requested. Please ask the driver to deliver my order to reception. At the address given. The delivery sign is for the kitchen only. I have no reception where I am located in the building.

I ignored the usual upsell tactics from the staff, and ordered an Earl Grey tea in a cup. It's just good clean tea. But the water is a bit scummy, and I can clearly see an oily film on top of the water. It's not good considering I've been told they only use filtered water!

I sometimes go to this Costa to work. The new manager, Yousseff, is a fantastic man. He is hardworking, hands-on (often clearing tables), and humble. When I suggested that the coffee was bitter because the old coffee hadn't been completely emptied, he took this on board and made me another delicious coffee—fantastic service and staff.

The frappe and the food is very nice. Atmosphere is alright. Plenty of space to sit and to have a chat with someone special ya get meh

Rude manager! I was accused, held, and questioned for leaving the WC in bad condition. When it wasn't my fault at all. There was someone just before me who was in there for long, and it's not even definite that he was the one who left it in the condition it was. No matter what, the way I was treated as a customer, even if I was the one who left it in the condition that it was, it was unacceptable!

Not good won't be returning. Table's left dirty seat's all stained and dirty and toilet Filthy. Food shop's should have clean hygiene and make sure toilets are regularly cleaned.

I was absolutely dying for a coffee you can't usually go wrong with Costa

The barista did not have a lot of staff on duty and the price of food were quite high.

I've been going to this branch since just after it opened but over the last year, the service and the quality of the drinks have gone downhill; the coffee often smells and tastes burnt (there's one or two baristas there who can make a coffee without burning it) and even when requesting the simplest thing like alternative milk etc., there's some hostility. The change in management has affected the customer service, quality and cleanliness. The only thing I can just about recommend is the food, if you need a hot drink you're better off going to another branch or elsewhere. Sad to say I won't be returning to this branch anymore.

What has happened to the staff iþ use to be so freindly and clean in there now the past month it has gone down hill fast the staff are rubbish apart from 1 young bloke i think he is the only one that can make coffee the other 2 numtys are useless first thing in the morning the short bloke is shouting at you what do you want b4 you can think i know its peckham and costa proberly dont care because its only peckham but im considering changing my coffee shop as i drink lots everyday and i want it to taste nice as it costs enough shame this store has really let costa down mayb can do with a refurb

I was served raw oats in cold milk and the attendant was very rude when I took it back

Had a coffee, my son had water and shortbread. Quick, polite service. All good. Atmosphere pleasant watching the people of Peckham going about their lives

We went yesterday with my sister she had a birthday and she went to get cake . Shiraz made us lovely Coffe and lovely customer service I will definitely go again , thank you Shiraz 💚
