First time back for a few years. Me and my old pal G. She introduced me to this proper working man’s London boozer in 2009. Must have drank 500 pints in there till around 2012. We both moved on to different offices and only occasionally went back. And go back we did. Still the same. Still friendly (but new) staff; still decent beer; still needs a bit of love, especially the toilets; still welcoming and familiar. Still patronised by normal Londoners. Still LOVE it. If you want fancy pants boozing, there’s so much choice in the Borough and on the river. If you want a good pint, in a lively bar, with good people. Come in.

This is an old-school traditional pub down just across from Borough Markets. Opening hours around 11am to 11pm daily. There is a small indoor seating area so be ready to stand or have your drinks outside if busy. Nice environs, a fun place to grab a drink in the area. Stopped here for a quick lunch recently, drinks were just fine. Didn't care much for the fish and chips however. Fish was quite tired, dry and chewy, not a very nice fillet. Served with French fries instead of proper chips as well. On the whole, not a great fish and chips order. Would give it a pass next time and just enjoy a pint or two at what is otherwise a quaint little pub in the London Bridge area.

This olde world pub is close to London Bridge and Borough Market. It is down a side road. The staff are so friendly, you get greeted as soon as you walk in the door. Full of atmosphere. Such a lovely welcoming old London pub. The bar staff were very friendly and Angie in particular. We will definitely be back on our next trip in December for Christmas. We could have stayed all afternoon but after 2 pints of Sussex it was time to get back to the Union Jack Club to get ready to go to see Kiss Me Kate later. A pub for everyone and don't miss the opportunity. Hello to everyone at the old King's Head.

we escaped the crowds at the borough market in search of a more authentic place, and it's there! Dare to enter this small alley to find this traditional pub, with the regulars at the counter, locals and a few tourists. the atmosphere is family, the welcome impeccable, traditional food well served, large choice of beers, at a reasonable price. special mention for the waitresses who took great care of a couple who were visually impaired, they took the time to explain everything to them, to detail everything, and were attentive to them so that they had a good time and enjoyed their meal: well done!

Tucked away on a side street off borough high st is this rather charming pub . Charming in the sense that it's a no nonsense establishment with a great happy hour between 5-7pm . We were stuck about finding somewhere nice to eat and didnt want to pay shard restuarant prices! I looked on trip advisor and spotted this place. old world music and a good range of real ales and looking at the menu quite reasonable prices. Tuna baguette with chips and salad for £8 which my wife really enjoyed and I elected for the minced beef pie with chips and peas on the specials board for £13 ... lovely and meaty and a generous portion but not over the top. My son had a 1/4 pound beef burger with the trimmings which he thoroughly enjoyed. When the food came it was all very well presented. I would certainly visit again this little gem which was hidden away in the side street. staff were very friendly and only insisted on payment when we had finished. 3 good meal, 3 drinks and 2 sides for £58 which i felt was good value for money concidering shard prices were upwards of £40 each but then you get what you pay for!!!

What we call a 'proper pub'. Nothing pretentious about it. Slightly dark but not too dark, good amount of furniture, with right space between tables to have distance but keep atmosphere. A cracking old style bar, with good staff. The happy hour runs 4-7pm Monday to Thursday where you can still get a £5 pint. Sport on the screens inside usually with no sound, space to stand or sit and drink outside in the alley. Never had the food but portions look huge. The crowd is reflective of the pub, just normal people who like a drink or two. My favourite pub in the area and there are plenty to choose from round here.

Traditional pub, on the scruffy side. Just had drinks. We had a bad experience as we felt we were deliberately overcharged by a substantial amount when making a contactless payment on a busy crowded night. We had our wedding reception at The Camberwell Arms back in September, and we couldn’t have been happier with the entire experience. From the start, Josefin was fantastic in helping us plan the day. She was responsive, attentive to every detail, and went above and beyond to bring our vision to life. The food was exceptional. Wedding meals can often be a bit underwhelming, but Mike and his team created a menu that our guests are still talking about. The dishes were full of flavour, beautifully presented, and exactly the kind of food people wanted to eat—seasonal, hearty, and delicious. The venue worked perfectly for our celebration. We used the downstairs for our drinks reception and dinner, which was cosy and intimate, and then we moved upstairs for dancing. The team made sure the day flowed smoothly, making it all feel effortless. The Camberwell Arms is perfect if you're looking for a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere, a fantastic team and incredible food and drink. It was exactly the kind of unpretentious yet special wedding we had hoped for. We’re so grateful to the team for making our day so memorable and would 100% recommend it to anyone planning a wedding or event!
