Bill's in Southwark

Unfortunately a terrible experience this time, though I’ve been once before and it was great. This time, it took an hour to get some water, nearly 2 before we had food. We had to seek attention any time we wanted something and the toilets were a state. I’d get it if they were really busy but we came at 5.30pm. Probably because all the best staff worked new years but a sad experience for us.

This was our second visit to Bills at Clink Street. Our waitress Izzy looked after us very well and the food was great. Highly recommend.

Das Essen war wirklich sehr lecker. Ich habe nachgefragt, ob ich nur den Burger ohne die Pommes bestellen könnte, was leider nicht möglich war, ohne den vollen Preis zu bezahlen. Dies habe ich jedoch in Kauf genommen, da ich nicht wollte, dass Essen verschwendet wird. Einer der beiden Kassierer hat leider sehr undeutlich gesprochen und uns im Nachhinein sehr aufdringlich dazu aufgefordert eine Bewertung zu schreiben. Daher ist jetzt hier die Bewertung :)

Good location, close to London Bridge station. Nice restaurant, not too big, always busy. Our waiter Vineeth was polite, friendly and efficient.

Such a warm welcome and brilliant options on the menu , even the gluten free menu. Maria and the rest of the staff were so accomidating with their service , so happy to help with anything we needed and making us laugh. The quality food and drink were amazing! Would 100% recommend this place to anyone.

We already knew Bill's in Soho and wanted to try the one in Borough Market. It is smaller but we find the same atmosphere. The service is very professional and smiling. The dishes are generous and really very good for good value for money. To be tested without hesitation

Nice cosy and lovely atmosphere, service is very good too especially during busy times - the staff are chill but professional at the same time. Pancakes were bland, however - needs syrup with it.

As a black person lol, I was staired by a lot of ppl , the system of assigning waiters were odd, seemed like everyone needed permission from the manager to do the most basic thing even getting a water, not enough staff, RUDE STAFFFFF, very unfriendly , unwelcoming but hey, FOOD WAS COLD , NO FLAVOR

Recently, we visited this restaurant with my wife and four friends, and although we were initially concerned about the longer wait time for a table, it was absolutely worth it! Once inside, we were warmly welcomed by the staff, and even though there was a slight delay with the food, the anticipation was enjoyable because the aromas already hinted at something extraordinary. When our dishes arrived, we were truly amazed! Everything was served hot, carefully presented, and, most importantly, absolutely delicious. The portions were generous—perfect to satisfy our hunger—and the prices turned out to be very reasonable, highlighting the excellent value for money. Each of us ordered something different, and we all agreed that the meals were of the highest quality. We have no doubt that we will return to this place again! We already recommend it to everyone looking for a delicious meal in a friendly atmosphere. This is definitely a spot you need to visit.

I can only recommend this place. The food was really good and the service was very friendly and answered all our questions about the menu. The menu also was quite extensive and have plenty of different options for all tastes. Perfect for brunch with friends :)

We were with my wife and friends for dinner, the atmosphere was excellent, the food was delicious and the service was very nice, the prices were very good, you could even say that we were surprised because the bill for four people with drinks came to less than 100 pounds.

Service was so slow after 2 hours I had to leave to catch my train having only had my starter!

The food was nice but had some chilli in it, which was not on the menu and I wouldn't have ordered it, if that was the case. Waitress was excellent, friendly and responsive. Bills is always a good choice for extensive menu and quality.

Scone is the best!! This restaurant has a cozy atmosphere inside , and chilling outside. The foods are variety and delicious with reasonable price. The staffs are also nice and eagerly to help. 🩷

I have visited yesterday with my family as walkin but the staff were so kind they received us well. Especially one waiter Vineeth is so good he was always very helpful for us very good service. Manager Maria is also good in greeting. Very good restraunt near tower bridge recommended for every tourist.

Gluten-free breakfast and burgers, delicious food and good coffee in a large mug. The cheerful and enthusiastic hostess Zita understands how to get satisfied customers 😀

All in a sudden a member of staff came to tell us that they needed the table. They only allocated an hour and 15 minutes for our lunch. No pudding for us unfortunately. Incompetence is everywhere, not just amongst politicians.

Lovely venue for pre-Christmas meet up. Christmas menu was tasty & good value for 3 courses. Staff were attentive, Maria was lovely. November but no CEM sitting outside by choice, with heaters, admiring the cool location.

I visited this Sunday morning with my family, and I just have to give a huge shoutout to Maria and her amazing team! The food was absolutely incredible—special mention to the French toast, which was divine—but what truly stood out was Maria’s outstanding memory and service. Despite how hectic it was, Maria remembered every single one of our orders, and everything arrived perfectly. It was like she was in three places at once, managing everything with a smile. It’s rare to see someone handle such a busy environment with such grace and efficiency. A big thank you to Maria and her team for making our breakfast such a wonderful experience. We’ll definitely be back

Bill’s is always a lovely experience. Even though they are very busy, they always have good customer service and are kind and polite to customers and make you feel welcome (not always common place in London sadly!!). The food is tasty and good value. Always guaranteed a nice evening. Today, we were served by Grace who was very lovely and attentive. Special mention to Zita, Maria and - who were such a great laugh and sang me a funny birthday song. The whole evening was very enjoyable- thank you!

Came here for the first time and was absolutely amazed by the great hospitality and service by Maria. She had some help from Gino and Ambra who definitely added to the overall experience. Great job for all of you guys and thanks for making our night very special💙

A superb lunch on a busy Saturday at Bills. We were a family group of 15 of us, including young children and a dog and it could not have gone smoother, thanks to Zita and her team. Because of our party size we pre-ordered our food and it all worked like clockwork, christmas menu, great food, some fun table games courtesy of Bills and excellent service by the staff. We would not hesitate to visit again - thank you!

Whoa! My taste buds just threw a party during lunchtime! Chef Carol's chicken shawarma, crafted with so much love and a sprinkle of patience, was like a flavor explosion in my mouth! I'm still doing the happy dance over here. Thanks a ton!

Me and my friend went for the bottomless pancakes on a Friday evening, seems like there is simply not enough staff in the restaurant as we waited 20 minutes for someone to come take our order and even then we had to call a waiter to take our order which was very hard to catch his attention. After our food came, the pancakes tasted so over cooked and blunt (pictures attached), that they were hard to eat. After 2 plates of almost burnt pancakes, we asked a waiter for the bill so we can pay, again he took 20 minutes to bring the bill. As if the service wasn’t already bad enough, when it came to paying me and my friend split the bill which should’ve been £5 each but the waiter tried to charge both of us on two separate transactions £50.50 EACH. Honestly one of the worst experiences ive had at a restaurant and I will not be returning to this one unless I want to waste time and money.

I came for dinner with my family and friend who is vegan. She is always a little worried when eating at new restaurants because sometimes people can be dismissive of her food requirements. We were so impressed with the care and thoroughness of all the Bill’s staff. They communicated so clearly and made sure to follow proper procedures to avoid contamination. Nothing was too much trouble and the service was efficient. Thank you guys. Much appreciated.

We were a table of 8 with a dog. We all sat outside, we had heaters too, as busy inside. Next time we will hope to go inside as they allow dogs, and there was a buzzy atmosphere and a menu for dogs too. Maria and Sid looked after us ensuring that we were not forgotten sitting outside. The food was great, I think that's the most important thing when I go to a restaurant, to get tasty and good quality food. Likewise, the services were good overall, the staff kind and friendly good attention and quick service.

A beautiful place directly under London Bridge. We had a complete and delicious snack at a moderate price. The staff and general manager Wedson were very helpful and kind, especially in helping us find our way around this magnificent city.
