Honest Burgers London Bridge - Tooley St in Southwark

Hunting round for somewhere to eat, we came across this place and as it had a couple of empty tables we decided to give it a go. And we're glad we did. Another place we'd like to give half stars for as three isn't quite enough. Looks quite small from the outside but it seems to have tables upstairs as well so no idea how big it is really. Reasonable selection of burgers and sides all of which looked, and tasted, really good. Good sized portions and nice and hot too and pretty quick service. Only slight quibble would be that the 'chips' are skinny and more like French Fries but that's just a minor point. Prices what you'd expect from central London. Enjoyed our visit and would definitely go back.

me and my partner visited london bridges honest burgers yesterday evening and were nothing short of shocked with the abysmal service and all round quality of the food. the wait staff were rude pressuring, stood over us while deciding after being told we were not ready and looked incredibly impatient and like they just didn’t want us to be there. we were cramped into tiny tables next to other people with open booths and an empty bottom floor. There were 2 members of staff serving all drinks and tables - i was shocked to discover when using their facilities, the rest of the team were downstairs sitting on their phones. So, back to our order. Ordered our food with our waitress, my partner does not like spices and asked for a specifically plain GRILLED chicken burger with added bacon as stated on the menu and i the opposite ordered the chilli beef burger - let me just add our order was repeated a multitude of times and even pointed out to our waitress as she seemed unsure. The wait for the food was short however we were shocked when it turned up. Our food was practically chucked onto our table by a fleeing waiter who proceeded to then crack on with his duties of looking bored behind the bar. My burger was not the chilli burger but more a bog standard beef burger and my partner was given a SPICY breaded chicken burger and the poorest excuse for extra bacon i have ever seen before - 2 measly little bacon tails which were incredibly undercooked. For an expensive london restaurant, you expect a certain level of quality of service and food however even the square packaged cheese looked like it was from poundland. This entire experience ruined our evening out and left a bad taste in our mouths. My partner was hesitant to even touch her food as it was everything she had not asked for. If you’re planning on coming here, make sure you are incredibly clear and not afraid of sending your food back but my personal advice is just simply don’t bother.

A regular visit when I finish work late and head to London Bridge station. I must be regular because the staff recognise me as the guy who always arrives just before they close for eating-in, but the staff are always great and the food is always amazing, hence I keep returning.

Hamburguesas muy ricas. Local bastante cómodo y buena atención. La carne está muy rica y la compran localmente. Como pega, no hay postres ;-)

We came here twice during our stay in London. From the quality of the food to the staff working there I can't fault this place at all. The best burger I have ever tasted and we found the price to be very reasonable too. From my family and I thank you very much! 4 cokes please

Previously had chilli burger which was really good. This time went for Tribute. Burger was delicious, chips nice but I ordered wings and when I got home - NO WINGS IN MY BAG😭

Recently tried the chicken burger at this spot, and it was absolutely delicious, bursting with flavors. It ranks among the best I've ever had. Plus, the chicken is halal, a definite plus. The location is convenient, and the overall atmosphere is pleasant, complemented by friendly staff. A satisfying experience overall!

Burger was very good but unfortunately, the customer service wasn't... was served a warm bottle of wine to my partner and I, granted, I should have complained when the wine was served, disappointed that when the wine was initially served, waitress did not ask, "is the wine ok" complained at the end, waitress said "you should have complained at the start..." was quite rude and could see she was stressed as the place was very busy, clearly didn't leave a tip (which is also becoming a joke in London, gone are the days you can decide how much you want to leave, now it is "discretionarily added to your bill at the pleasure of 12.5%"...) ... not cheap so expect better customer service.

Good food, good service and good discount with blue light card.

Service was quick and polite. All the staff were lovely and welcoming. Food was great, cooked exactly as asked for and really tasty. Glad we picked here for a quick dinner over the other options nearby.

Let's be honest (sorry about that), but it is all about the burgers amd they are fantastic! Juicy and full of flavour, setved with those beautiful rosemary chips. Definitely returning.

Staff were really friendly, I just popped by for a quick drink and a few starters but it was nice. Would recommend to anyone going to eat or looking for a nice space with drinks and a good menu.

We were seated upstairs and there was only another table so there was 8not much atmosphere. Apart from that the food and drinks were great we all would go back.

Vedendo questa catena capisco perché appena un expat torna in Italia prova ad aprirne una copia. Ambiente caldo e confortevole sopratutto se fuori piove come spesso accade a Londra. Ampia scelta di panini anche vegani/vegetariani, si vede che sono fatti al momento anche perché la cucina è a vista. Ho preso l'honest burger di manzo con patatine. Nonostante le dimensioni non fossero esagerate non ho avuto il bisogno di ordinare altro, compatto ma tutta sostanza, 0% aria. Il personale si è dato subito da fare per farci accomodare spostando alcuni tavoli e in generale mi è sembrato molto amichevole. Pensavo di spendere di più, per essere in centro a Londra al Tower bridge il costo è giusto vista anche la qualità della preparazione

Les meilleurs hamburgers de Londres, nous avons fait 2 restos différents de cette chaîne et la qualité est la même. La déco est sympa et les prix raisonnables. Par contre il n'y a pas de desserts.

Great burgers and chips and nice staff. The prices for both food and beer is also decent. If you're a veggie then the plant burger is very tasty. It is a bit hard to get a table if you just turn up so I'd recommend booking in advance.

Seated in only a few minutes by the hostess who was smiling the whole time! Staff were friendly with excellent synergy despite it being right by one of London's busiest stations. I've been to Honest Burger before in Shoreditch and knew the food would be fantastic but I must say first time trying the onion rings, I would be lying if I said they were anything but perfect. Restaurant was very clean and the open kitchen just as clean, which is very comforting to us as the customers. Will definitely be back.

This time it wasn't a good experience. The place was understaffed, so everything was very very slow. The staff was doing what they could, but not enough. Then I've ordered the Christmas and the fried camembert was very small, not at all like the photo.

If you're hungry, don't come here. I was already starving when I entered. Luckily, I was seated and ordered immediatly. For the 43 minutes I waited for my chicken burguer, I could notice that my table wasn't that clean, it was a very loud ambience, with loud music and loud voices.... much chating instead of chewing... it was a really busy place, and for that, I understand some of the caos... it is a busy area as well. Then the burguer came and it was no chicken. I ate it, and when I was not so hungry anymore, I looked at it and it was RAW on the inside!!! 13.30 pounds for a raw burguer?! Really?! I ditched the meat and ate the rest. No comments on the chips. I was too angry to think of them. I went to pay the check and could see that another costumer had raw meat on her burguer as well and was asking to the server if it was supposed to be like that. Nope. It ain't! I complained about my situation to the server and he made me a discount to compensate me, but it was such a little discount... I ate most of a raw burguer....... I regret not having made a bigger deal of this at the moment... The good thing about this place is that it takes cash too, and that's it.

Walked in, and waited about 10 long mins without being acknowledged. The hostess came over passed us completely without even making eye contact and started playing with the register. Then looked at us, and explained an uninviting "yes?". We promptly left and went to pizza pilgrims.

Excellent burger - but had a very long wait. Appreciate it was busy, but I could see the kitchen had it ready but the staff took ages to actually bring it out.

First time at an Honest Burgers. Thoroughly enjoyed it, especially the onion rings! Friends had the bacon gravy with their chips and they loved it. Only criticism was that they don't server dessert :-(

Having been to Honest Burger more times than I can count I have to say its defo up there for contender for best burger in London. Decently priced with fresh ingredients, a burger cooked to near perfection every single time, paired with the tasy rosemary fries and the best onion rings I've had, Honest Burger is a defo must try for any burger lover!

Always very slow service but tasty burgers and good value cocktails. The mojito is made with lime syrup so tastes artificial but the gin elderflower cocktail is tasty. Both meat and veggie burgers are delicious.

The buffalo chicken burger is soo thick and juicy. Had Honest burger twice since last week, it's a shame their beef is not halal though, would have loved to try it out. Onion rings could be less oily, it's a bit on the heavy side. But the buffalo wings are so good. A must try!

The food was very good but the service was awful; we were poorly treated since our very arrival, and we were "scammed" into paying a tip as our waiter put in the amount that he wanted us to pay instead of what we were actually supposed to pay. We gladly tip everytime we eat out, but we didn't appreciate being tricked to do so. We won't come back.

Starters were cold. Service wasn't fantastic.

Food was okay, but the glass of lemonade was really dirty so we asked if we could have a clean one. They completely forgot and ended up giving a new one at the end of the meal. I then had to ask for the bill twice, waiting over 20 minutes just to pay.

Really nice burgers, but red onion relish in ‘Honest Burger’ is not so great. Rosemary chips are not for everyone, they are also too greasy.

First time try at Honest Burgers and I was pleasantly surprised! Better than Five Guyz and Shake Shack. Fries and coleslaw were gorgeous and juicy nutty morish beef patty with onion relish & American cheese. The buttery buns were lovely too. Would go again if near where I live. Liked the quirky atmosphere & owm pale ale. Children's burgers were perfect too not like dry processed Maccies at all. The young lady who seated us was so kind and attentive with beautiful smiles, making our trip in the dreadful weather a little easier.

Loved it. Three of us, 2 vegetarian and 1 gluten free, and we all very much enjoyed our food. Only lost one star because the music was very loud and we are physically limited so couldn't sit at the high seats which halved our seating options.

Great value. Especially for London. The produce was fresh and tasty. Good choice of burgers. Staff were friendly. The restaurant was nice and clean. Great location. I wish that we had one in Ireland!

Burgers here are very good. I had the smash burger. There was a bit of a wait, not so bad though. Knocking a star off because of how long it took for the bill to come (over 10 min from asking). Pretty poor being inside a train station

Honestly? Very good. I would eat here again. The fries (chips) had a good flavor on them and didn’t really need ketchup (which was in a glass bottle. Love that). We tried a veggie burger and the chicken wings. Both delicious. I thought it was funny that I traveled all the way to London to have a beer that I had in NYC last year. All those miles for a home brewed brew (country, anyway). We had a lovely chat with a woman who was seated near us. Great experience.

Honestly, Honest burgers were not su honest. I ordered chicken wings but got delivered skin on bones. Jokes aside, bone mass on these wings was greater than the meat ratio. Without a doubt, these are the tiniest wings I’ve ever got served ever. Ever. Even small chicken shops have more decency to throw you couple extra when the wings they have are tiny….8 wings are not worth the price at Honest Burgers.

This was my several time at Honest Burger, and I decided to go for chicken pesto this time. It wasn’t disappointing, and pretty solid for a low-cal diet choice (w/o the chips ofc). Being honest, I’m still all about that beef when it comes to taste

Turned away at the door… made the trip over to this branch and told they are not seating people because the kitchen is busy. That’s fair enough you might not serve food, but you could seat people and serve drinks while they wait… especially when we asked to sit outside in one of the many available tables. We went on a Friday night and it was great food and great service from they working the front and the buffalo wings where amazing as was the burgers and chips, because of this we went the following evening and it was completely different, it took around 45 minutes to get our drinks which was 2 bottles of Karma Cola and some water, then another 15 minutes for our food which was 3 large chicken wings portions, some nuggets and rosemary fries. There was very little staff and even though there were plenty of empty tables as they had just 2 staff running the tables they turned away a large number of guests

Disappointed at everything to be honest rude staff very slow service not great food and then we asked for the service charged to be removed and they refused which is illegal. My son was celebrating his 18th birthday with his friends maybe the treatment was because they are all black!!

Been visiting Honest Burgers for quite a few years now but I feel the bigger they are getting, the more the quality goes down. Food was good and served hot. The service was garbage. Having never been to this branch before, we weren’t sure if we waited outside or inside. After a couple of minutes waiting outside the door, we eventually went in, the lady inside watched us come in and just looked away. We wanted to be seated but they didn’t even seem bothered. A man finally asks us to sit outside and takes our order. Food arrived and that was fine. Trying to get the bill however took well over 10 minutes. I tried to get the man’s attention and he put his finger up to me and walked away. I had to go inside and ask for the bill. Why do you add a service charge? The service was absolutely shocking and did not deserve to be added. My partner paid and upon inspecting the receipt, the lady had added a service charge. Didn’t even ask us. Shocking and very sneaky. I won’t be back.
