Peckham Arches in Southwark

While the rating doesn’t do it justice it is accurate. The food was mediocre although the party I was with loved it, they were all drunk so make of that what you will. All in all I wouldn’t go there looking to dine out but if I drank it is a fun place to be.

Discovered this place, because they have hosted fume bbq festival. Cool and chill place. 2mins away from Peckham rye train station.

FUME BBQ festival at Peckham Arches. Peckham Arches is a 600 capacity event space with a large garden terrace, 3 cocktail bars, an open-fire kitchen and art gallery. Enjoy DJs every Friday and Saturday night out on the terrace alongside exhibitions, food festivals and day parties. A wide range of cocktails, wine, and fresh draught beer can be enjoyed alongside Ruben's summer BBQ menu & sourdough pizzas. The venue is available to hire for all kinds of events including corporate parties, weddings, and product launches. The venue is also dog friendly.

Recently organised an event here and the service from the whole team was simply superb. From Jasper and the owners, right through to the bar staff, floor staff and security. I felt like our event was left in great hands. I highly recommend working with Peckham Arches and Jasper’s team if you’re looking for a venue to host an event in London, it’s by far the best experience we’ve had. In terms of the venue, it’s an amazing layout where your imagination is your only limitation, this is something that’s rare in London these days! Food was also great and was an easy service from Skylarking to our attendees!

The food, service quality, and overall ambiance were truly impressive. The orderliness and attention to detail in every aspect of the event support my claim that Summer Winterland was the event of the summer. Moreover, the venue selection—Peckham Arches—was an excellent choice for hosting such an event; the location was perfect. I will definitely be attending the next one!

Food from Reuben’s Reuben’s was so so so tasty. The mustard sauce was mind blowingly good , chicken tender , lamb sausage lovely , pulled pork amazing ! The bread and condiments really elevated the plate. Peckham arches its self has terrible tinny sounding speakers outside and there was no heaters so the environment wasn’t the best . Music was so loud for early evening food!

Don't get me wrong. Ruben's food is amazing. If you want value for money and amazing flavours, get the platter. But the reason for this bad review is the atrocious service and behaviour of the bar staff. They appear to be trying to capitalise on the success of Brick brewery on the other end which attracts big crowds with open air gigs and a huge selection of beer, great cocktails and yummy alcoholic slushies perfect for a hot summer afternoon. Go there instead. The trouble I had was ordering a drink from the brick brewery and bringing it to some benches outside the arches. One of the waitresses came over and told us 'you can't bring drinks in' 'especially since it's one of our competitors'. I explained my confusion as I had seen people bringing drinks in from the bar opposite 'skylarking' and she explained ThEiR DrInKs ARE aLLoWeD iN. It is impossible to know this. There is nothing to mark out the borders between these bars. And these borders are being governed as if I was bringing in contraband between East and West Germany. With ZERO accommodation after spending a sizeable sum on food and drinks in the arches already, we were made to feel incredibly unwelcome in this establishment. The waitress who must have had more authority then some of the other staff told me she 'clocked' me and that she was now 'calling me out'. I didn't realise my honest mistake would encourage the wrath of a pompous team leader who has watched too much top boy. I think a reasonable response would be to explain the establishments were not linked and to encourage the paying customers to not bring drinks in from other venues giving them a chance to understand the stifling policy you have in place. Or just accept when there is a bunch of open space people will buy drinks from different places and sit wherever they can when they all appear linked. Or even better realise the reason no one wants to buy your drinks is because they're bad. Instead of blaming the customer. Perhaps look at the service and products you have on offer. Surely you'd rather be the place people buy drinks from and take to the other venue. Instead of being militantly jealous over your own failures and the success of your competitor. 0/10. Won't come back. Sorry Ruben's the foods lovely. The bar and it's staff are terrible.

I went to Peckham Arches last night with friends and family. One of my friends got quite drunk and Sid (the security lady) was absolutely fantastic. She helped my friend get out of the toilet as she had passed out, spent so much time helping us by giving her water and holding her physically so that she would not fall over. I can't thank her enough for her professionalism, empathy and understanding. She went above and beyond her job title and is a credit to your whole team!!

Great spot for food and drinks. DJs were a vibe, and the overall evening was a natural high.

Amazing environment and vibe. Check out Rubens Rubens for insanely tasty bbq options and the bar nearby for delicious cocktails. Amazing on a summer's day or when gloomy.

We hired Peckham Arches for a private event and I cannot thank Jasper and his team enough. They were so organised and easy to communicate with. All the staff were professional and well briefed to make the event run really smoothly. A great event space, and the cocktails are SO good. 10/10 would recommend!

We had our engagement party booked here and Peckham arches cancelled despite us having a booking as someone offered them more money for another event. Really really disappointing customer service as we have people flying in for the event. Not great that they put money over honouring an existing booking. Would not trust this venue with your event bookings as you may also end up disappointed.

This review is for the Reuben’s Reuben pop up. Very disappointing experience. Had a reservation for 7.30pm on a Friday for 2 people and when we turned up, all of the popular items were sold out. All was left was a pork bun, a mushroom bun and a portion of 25x chicken wings. They personally chased us the day of our booking to check we were still coming but didn’t think it was appropriate to tell us that half of their menu wouldn’t be available. We were very excited to try their menu which they actively promote. The waitress was very apologetic but the owner/manager should’ve dealt with it.

Was at Peckham Arches for Wing Jam and loved every bit of the food. Loads of various chicken wing stalls the weather was spot on for it as a Bank Holiday Weekend. Hoping to return in the future in the summer.

Visited this tucked away gem for the first time for a friend’s private event. Great place for booking for parties and / or music events 💯. Management (owner) and staff are very friendly and adopt great customer service. Would genuinely recommend this to others 👍

Went for a pop up restaurant so the food I ate would probably not be the same as the food served in the actual restaurant. Atmosphere was good and the food was also tasty but this review can't actually be a good judgement for the place as I was there for a specific event

Incredible staff truly wonderful people pizza and drinks selection is amazing put lightly and it’s and a super location.

Went on Saturday night to wing jam . My son paid £18.50 per person to enter . Then you had to pay £1-£2 per chicken wing to try chicken from various venders . The wings were delicious . The beer was good . But the cold night , walking around with wings in your hands all sticky . No serviettes, no seats dirty tables . Having to stand around after ordering a few wings then waiting for your order . The queues were long , on all the stalls . I was still hungry so I had to leave after 30 minutes and go and sit in a chicken restaurant in comfort and then go to a bar for drinks .

Great atmosphere, went for wingfest. Had an amazing time. Good customer service.

This place is such a vibe. Staff so much fun, good cocktails! We even saw the owner call out a horrible misogynist old guy perving on their bar staff, being dial respectful and I absolutely respect them for this ***** Thanks for a great night!!

Amazing food. Lovely venue. Far too loud music meaning 90% of patrons moved into the quieter side inside areas without speakers or outside the venue on the shared seating with the adjacent bar. No one wants a rave at 5pm

We went for the Time Out Big Dish. We got four different dishes for £10 which was good value.

My son and his husband had their wedding reception at Peckham Arches. Everything about it was first class, the venue is so pretty, both indoors and in the lovely outside seating area, the food is delicious with a varied menu, some dishes I hadn’t tried before. No silly prices either Jasper and his team made sure that we all had the best day. No corporate coldness, lovely people with the personal touch. We also went back there the day after the wedding for food and drinks. Brilliant party venue or for a day/night out. I can’t recommend enough

Was here for a wedding in July and had a great time. Food & cocktails were sublime, good spaces both inside and out with friendly & helpful staff that catered to our needs (even the Piñatas)!

We had our wedding party in the Glass Room and it was the most amazing night. From DeeDee taking care of us to the expertise and friendliness of the staff making cocktails, to Jasper who was in charge on the night and made sure we were all doing ok from start to finish - he even found a mic and a podium for speeches without blinking an eye! In the runup Emilia was brilliant, quick to get back to us, patient with any questions, taking care of everything from table layouts to food timetables. The food was absolutely delicious and the pizzas in particular were a complete highlight. The Peckham Arches atmosphere is wonderful for a party. The Glass Room is private enough to feel special (and has its own bar!) but you feel lifted by the buzz all around you. The venue is beautiful, and it feels incredibly cool but also informal and fun and slightly louche. Like you had friends throwing a party for you who are also amazing professionals. Also we went there for a drink before the party a few times and they have seriously good live music. We absolutely fell in love with the Arches, like we found our ideal local, and we are going to go back a LOT more!

Lovely little spot in Peckham. Didn't eat, so I can't comment on the food, but the rum punch was on point. Beware, they only take card!

I hosted my 30th in the Glass Room. It was the perfect room with a private bar and plenty of space for people to mingle, eat and drink, whilst still being able to access the rest of the venue. The new BBQ grill menu is fantastic - the Korean Short Rib, Lamb Kofta and Charred Squash were particular favourites. The pizzas from Skylarking were also great. A huge thank you to all the team at Birdhouse and Peckham Arches for making it such a fantastic evening.

Nice setting good vibe but below average food. We ordered the prawns, cabbage and a pizza to share. Both the prawns and cabbage had no seasoning and lacked any flavour. The pizza came 50 minutes after we ordered and again lacked it flavour. Nice bar for drinks but wouldn’t have food again.

Fabulous venue under the train rails. Fantastic atmosphere and good food. Recommended

Went to see Rob Van Vuuren's 'Namaste Bae' last night and this great little venue under a railway arch helped create the perfect atmosphere for his 'healing ceremony'. I haven't laughed that hard in years, what an absolute comedy genius! Rob gives 100% on stage, he never disappoints and his piss take of woowoo pseudo spirituals was spot on. I loved that he got so many men in the audience involved and they did brilliantly. There will be chanting, blessings and a spiritual penguin. Oh I was definitely healed - by laughter!

Great atmosphere definitely a place to go and relax with friends.. great cocktails, vibes and share some tasty food.. or eat on your own as delicious and fresh. Will definitely be there again soon. Unexpected gem!! When you arrive, DeeDee and her team will take care of everything for you. She is the most amazing host and makes you feel like you’re a regular. Honestly, I can’t praise her enough, I would go back just to see her! Great vibe, drinks were LOVELY! Pool table, and multiple place to get drinks. Also you can get food (pizza) from the place across the road.
