The best restaurants serving Default food in Sandy Central Bedfordshire East of England

We were looking for a decent place on our travels, something cheap and plentiful. We saw the large plates of food on the tables and thought yes that'll do. I ordered grilled chicken, chips, salad (no rice was available), hubby had lasagne and salad (didn't want chips) after about 15 minutes food arrived and we were very disappointed. A small grilled chicken steak and 22 chips (I counted them), salad was soaked in vinegar. Lasagne was small and the salad well same as above. We left hungry. We will not be returning. Overpriced and poor.

Amazing! Fish was absolutely massive. Went here on recommendation of a friend and we are not disappointed

Used to come here a few years back and the wings were decent, now 10/10 would 100% recommend, great service too!

We absolutely love the Chinese here. Whenever I come down (from north east) I always have to have a Chinese and this is our choice. Never a bad meal, love the taste of the Chinese curry. I don't usually eat meat from Chinese takeaways as don't like the way it's cooked but from here the chicken is always a hit in their Singapore vermicelli.

Overcharged a ridiculous amount and it wasn’t a mistake either as this isn’t the first time. Will not be using again.

Excellent takeaway. Great pizzas (deepdish), doner, lamb and especially chicken kebabs with lots of fresh salad. Quality fast food when you're in a hurry and have nothing in.

Owner is quite rude, selection of beer is fairly average. The food is quite obviously defrosted and overall it’s nothing to get excited about.

Not many decent drinking establishments in Bedford but The Standard is a nice place to meet up with friends. Live music was very loud when it started and drinks options especially craft beers are a bit limited but on the whole a decent place to spend an evening.

The service is so slow and the food is of a low standerd its just a sandwich i cant work out why they charge so much its a ripp off dont waste your money here
