We’ve been wanting to come here for ages, as we were in the area my husband looked up their kitchen times and seeing as they were serving food until 2.30, we swung by, walking in at 2.20. The smiling front of house asked us if we were wanting food and then said “sorry, kitchen closes in 5”. A full 10minutes before their own 2.30pm advertised time. If you want to stop serving food before the advertised serving times, you need to amend your website and socials. To me, if it says food to 2.30pm, that’s when you can last order food. I’m glad the ridiculous council pay and display was playing up so we hadn’t actually purchased a ticket. I can’t stand establishments who operate like this so I won’t come back.

Great little place! Breakfast was great! Great value for money! Will def return again on our next visit to the area. Nice little outdoor seating area, we had our puppy with us, staff were great! They brought out some water for our pup. Great service, friendly staff and fab food!

Asked for cheese savoury baguette, was made a seafood baguette. Assistant said that's what I asked for but i never have anything but cheese. Doesn't even sound the same. ?? She didn't seem happy with her mistake. As they were very busy (I had waited 20 mins) I decided to take sub roll from ready made section. When I bit into it, it was cheese ploughman's. In wrong section. My fault for not checking, but did not enjoy as don't like pickle. Always been extremely happy in past, but Hykeham Shop now closed. Shame 😥 This was Coningsby shop. Birchwood is also great. Staff lovely and polite 😊

So disappointed. Went in and stood for 5 mins waiting for someone to come and speak to us. I eventually went and asked at the bar if we should just stand there or come to the bar. We were only having a drink but having looked around and saw loads (80%) of the tables were empty decided on looking at eating. We asked for a menu and when we asked whether we would be able to eat were told "we can fit you in at 8pm" it was around 4:45 when we went in. I said no thanks and went outside to eat. I then found the number and called and asked if we could eat and we were told 5:15. (which in itself is a tad annoying.) We ordered a meat platter for £21.50 and when it arrived I was beyond disappointed - 4 slices of 3 lots of meat, small bowl of olives and 6 pieces of bread for £21.50. It was tasteless so i asked for some balsamic vinegar for the dry bread. As there wasnt allot of food I ordered a cheesey garlic bread which was apparently 'Really good' it was not really good. We sat next to a couple and they told us that the table next to them had reserved on it and they had been there an hour and a half - why wasn't this table occupied? If the management read this and give me an explanation as to why the whole experice was appalling I will be happy to remove my review. When I went to pay my bill I told the guy behind the bar how bad it all was and we had left half of the dry bread he still took the full payment.

We went for my dads 70th which is such a special time for us and because there was a big group of us, we had already pre ordered our food weeks in advance. The food was absolutely cold! The starters were a mixture of prawns and chicken but again was cold. It was then an hour wait for our mains... It was a mixture of chicken and steak... chicken was FREEZING! Was uneatable! Steak wasn't actually bad but at parts it was chewy... It was so disappointing! We also had desserts but after 40 mins wait, half of the family left due to young kids and after an hour, we paid and left the desserts that we had already pre ordered. We also had drinks that arrived AFTER the starters and only had one round of them because noone has checked in with us and we did not want to risk such a another long wait for them. AVOID AVOID AVOID THIS PLACE!!!!

I am staying at Tattershall I ordered some food. When it arrived the food was cold the chips was hard and tasted like rubber, chicken balls was so rubber like the oil hasn't been changed for like 3 months. The beef chowmain was vile I wouldn't of fed it to my dog. Only thing that was ok to eat was pawnbrokers. The omelette was vile the eggs wasn't fresh

Asked at Tattershall Castle where we could go for drinks and cake and a lady recommended the Ginger Cow and gave us directions, we parked in car park for free!!! Wow I did not realise free car parks existed!! Wandered into Ginger Cow to be met with a spectacular array of cakes and desserts, so much choice, hard to decide what to have, but Mrs C had a chocolate cake and I went for a scone, with hot chocolates, staff were pleasant and friendly and looked to be a good menu all round. Will come for breakfast or lunch next time out this way

It's October half term and we were staying at Tattershall Lakes. It was so busy we couldn't get through by phone so we popped down and placed our order in person. Having seen they had a delivery to a caravan just along from us we asked if ours could be delivered at the same time (about an hour from ordering) They agreed, the food duly arrived and was delicious. Hot, big portions and even included some non-menu adjustments for our vegetarian daughters. Leftovers were eaten for breakfast before the 5 hour drive home!
