Absolutely fabulous place. The staff were extremely friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Iv eaten all over the world and this was the best toasted sandwich iv EVER eaten. Wonderful meue and excellent quality. Bonus that it had WiFi. We even took cake home which was still delicious the following day. 👏👏👏

Visited Ginger cow on the way home from our holiday home at tattershall lakes. On arrival to the cafe we were greeted by a lovely staff member who was obviously very busy looking after customers. We waited patiently and she came back and got us a table. We ordered our breakfast my granddaughter had beans on toast my daughter had eggs Benedict and a had full English breakfast. Our drinks came straight away my granddaughter had a Oreo milkshake. The breakfast was very large and tasty. This isn’t fast food but a dining experience. My granddaughter couldn’t resist choosing one of their beautiful cakes to take away.

This is the best coffee place I've ever been to, the atmosphere and the staff are welcoming and friendly. The food is incredible, the cakes are out of this world and the coffee is chefs kiss amazing.

Booked to eat here for lunch as came about 3 years ago and it was lovely. Arrived today after booking a table and really looking forward to our visit. The cafe was run down, scruffy, cobwebs everywhere, the toilets were a absolute disgrace and very unhygienic! Because of this it put us off our order and we hardly ate any food and this also ruined the start of our holiday.

So, my in laws got me a cake from here last time they stayed at Tattershall. We have just stayed again at Tattershall Lakes and came here for breakfast and just wow!! The BEST eggs royale I have EVER had! The salad just made it even better! This is one of my fave breakfasts and I’ve never had it with salad but it was all just amazing! I also had a passion fruit smoothie- absolutely beautiful! My mother in law had a breakfast bap and I couldn’t believe the size of it! We then also took some brownies to go! Daim and Wispa Gold 👌🏽 Will definitely be back!

Popped in with our son who has moved to Coningsby with his work. Nice friendly atmosphere, the staff and locals gave us a warm welcome. We were really impressed by the quality, quantity and value for money of our lunches and overwhelmed by the variety and generosity and tastiness of the cakes, (everything home made here), possibly the best we've ever seen in a cafe like this or indeed anywhere!!

I stood at the counter for a good two minutes, a gentleman at the till totally ignored me, as did a young lady who went to speak with him, as he walked away I made a comment , saying that the cakes on show looked very nice the gentleman just grunted and still walked away, a young lady walked past again ignoring me, I had to speak to her to gain her attention, my tea and scone were promptly presented to me in a very pleasant manner , the scone and tea were very good. Other prospective customers were standing at the counter and obviously looking to get served and whilst they were there the gentleman and the young lady passed them ignoring them as the went, they then gathered in a table and chairs and put them away whilst people were still sat trying to enjoy the afternoon, on the whole a very disappointing and strange experience……..who needs customers eh?

Coffee was lovely once it actually arrived! It wasn’t busy but our order of 3 coffees took 20 minutes until we had to remind them about our order! And then when we received our coffees he was unapologetic and quite rude! But other than that the coffee was nice.

Absolute perfection breakfast and latte. Wish i could clone this cafe and place it in every town it is so so good owners and staff are briliant.

What a find! Stopping in Coningsby on our way home we saw this cafe on the Main Street. It had tables inside and out and a menu which ran to several,pages. We only wanted a quick bite so ordered a fish finger sandwich each. On reflection we should have shared one. Lovely granary bread with salad and crammed with fish. Tartare sauce, a bowl of coleslaw and a complete dressed salad on the side. On the way out we noticed the array of cakes too, but perhaps next time. Might even detour next time especially. Great food, friendly efficient service, even wheelchair accessible, what more could you want?

This isn’t a food complaint at all - the bacon, brie and cranberry sandwich is delicious. I popped in for a couple of sandwiches. Was greeted virtually immediately by serving staff and asked if I was having takeaway or eating in. I said takeaway and the lady said she’d be with me in a minute. No problems yet. After what felt like an age (at least 2 songs had played on the radio by this point whilst she made coffees) it was eventually my turn. She asked what I wanted and then tapped the order out into the till and then I paid. I thought to myself, why have I been made to wait so long to order when my order literally took 15 seconds to run through the till. I asked the lady after I’d stewed for a little while, thinking to myself my order could be so much further along, and being prepared in the kitchen whilst the lady carried on with her coffee making. She replied that she did things in order, with seemingly no mind that some things take longer than others, or that perhaps the kitchen staff could be cracking on with a food order whilst she did the drinks! Long story short I spoke to presumably the owner when she stepped away from the counter and he said she’s very experienced and that’s just the way she does things. I tried to explain that perhaps if the front of house staff did a bit of triage on the orders then people wouldn’t have to wait as long. This had no effect on the owner and I walked away from there very frustrated. To summarise, if you have a lot of spare time or aren’t in a rush then the food here is ace, the ordering process could be so much smoother and efficient.

Lovely coffee house warm and welcoming. First visit but will definitely be back. Food and coffee is good with a good breakfast menu. We bought some brownies which were absolutely delicious.

I was passing through and in need of a quick pick me up on a long drive. I found the Ginger Cow on trip advisor and was not disappointed. Excellent coffee, an amazing range of cakes and superb service. Lovely atmosphere and great prices.

Try to time the dog getting groomed nearby so I can have lunch. Been in a couple of times on my own, and once with partner. Always feel really welcome and comfortable. Food is yummy and super fresh. Hubby brought me back a panini today, they even offered advice on heating up. Coleslaw is lovely too. If the owner reads this, the website shows as not secure when I access from my phone.

This is the first time I have been to this coffee house, and it we excellent, the staff are lovely, the coffee wonderful, and we couldn't go without having cake, which was enormous, and such good value. I would certainly recommend, but probably best to book first, as it was very busy.

Went here for breakfast was disappointed that has I don’t eat Lincolnshire sausages has I hate sage they wouldn’t let me have something else to replace it felt this was odd has all the cafes I been in have no problem with this. I ended up having a bacon and mushroom sandwich which was nice but mushrooms were to thick and needed to be thinner in my opinion. I would recommend them

Lovely cakes and milkshakes…seriously let down by a very rude manager! Not sure why you would be rude to paying customers…if you want them to come back! The girls working there have much better customer service skills!

Absolutely fantastic lunch (simple) Ham egg and chips, but really nice and excellent value. Lots of nice stuff on the menu,,,,and don't even start me on the fresh, home made cakes! the cakes are first class and fresh. I would highly recomend giving them a try.

my family and myself have used this cafe many times and always had an amazing experience. however a recent visit left us very disappointed. we had a slice of cake to share, beautiful design with 4 layers for £4 which we were happy to pay. however upon eating we discovered it was rock solid and definitely not fresh. we visited on a Wednesday, their first day of trading of the week as they are only open Wednesday to Saturday so rather concerning as to when the cake was made. never had a problem before and the milkshakes are amazing but rather disappointed this time.

We visited with our 2 young granddaughters, the staff were friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The food was lovely and the cakes are even better. I would definitely recommend this place and will be sure to go back.

We found this little gem, thank goodness. Popped in for brunch, just gorgeous!!! I had the toasted BLT, hubby had cheeseburger with chunky chips. Fresh, hot, home cooked food, service with a smile at such a reasonable price. Just lovely, thank you 😊

Had a wonderful anniversary breakfast - delicious smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel and my husband said of his combo bap, and I quote,"absolutely wonderful, 10 out of 10." Coffee as good as anywhere else we've had it. Thanks guys.

I like coming here. And at the same time there's something that doesn't quite work with the service. Plenty of staff but rather slow. And the tray bake we ordered and had a conversation with the waitress about never arrived. That was disappointing.

Me and 4 friends all went inside to place our orders, the man behind the counter was very standoffish and quite rude. We sat outside and waited for our order, the service was slow, and we think they had forgotten 2 of the drinks because they took ages to arrive after everyone else had already got theres. The banana milkshake tasted nothing like banana! The young girl was quite rude and I don’t think either the man or her know how to crack a smile. We visited the toilet and it was filthy and smelly. Won’t be going back!

We called in on the off chance of getting some lunch, I had a nice chat with the gentleman who served me while our paninis were being cooked and the young lady was also very nice, the bacon ,brie and redcurrant paninis and chocolate orange brownie were to die for . Will come back next year Thank you

I absolutely love the Ginger Cow Food every thing is cooked from fresh and cooked to perfection. The staff are nice and friendly and really care for you. I would highly reccommend as you won't be disappointed.

We went twice to the ginger cow cafe whilst on a break at tattershall. The first experience was fine we popped in and were served immediately and sat inside . The food was lovely and so was the lady who served us. Unfortunately the next day we popped in ,all the staff ignored us and having asked if we can sit inside we were told we had to book even though the day before we didn't and if we waited it would take them 40 minutes to do our food even though we received it the day before in 10 minutes . Waitress was scatty and didn't look like she knew what was going on and the man was rude , the only person who had any customer service guile was the lady so I think it depends on who serves you on the experience you will receive !!

I was in Coningsby watching the planes and need a coffee. I had a flat white which was perfect. Seats outside and great service. The fudge on display looked really nice - though too many calories for me!

Called in for a coffee. Sat outside on the tables as thought this was table service, no one come out to us, so went inside to be told to wait outside as it was table service but no one turned up to take out order. We ended up getting up and walking away.

After arriving at 11am and seated very quickly, no drinks order was taken from the waiter, which is what should’ve been done to not leave customers feeling thirsty and to know drinks are on their way. The menu came out about 15 mins later and still no drinks order was taken. Good variety on the menu with unique options.However it finally took 40 minutes in total for me to have a drink on the table to when we first sat down. Very slow service and no apology or much interaction from staff. The cafe wasn’t even fully booked so god knows what the service would be like when they are fully booked!Food was excellent and very good value for price but next time will only do takeaway.

My daughter pre booked herself my son in law two grandaughters myself and my wife all had various breakfasts spoilt for choice egg various toast bacon sausage beans tomato hash browns black pudding fried bread mushrooms would go again

We visited last week for afternoon tea and it was absolutely fantastic we had a children’s afternoon tea and two adults and we had enough cake to keep us going for a few days after! This week we visited again for breakfast, the food was cooked to perfection. The staff were absolutely lovely, very friendly and helpful. They made so much effort with cleaning down the tables, chairs and the menus after each customer. Definitely made you feel safe. Thank you very much we will be returning ❤️

We visited this cafe for a light lunch based on other recommendations. We managed to get a seat in the sunshine as we had our dog with us, we didn’t have a reservation but they do recommend one due to the Covid restrictions. Lovely choice of menu and the food we had was really good.

This is our second visit and our last! We arrived at 2.20pm on Sunday and wasn’t sure if they where still open as there where 2 people inside drinking and eating, I approached the entrance and spoke to who I can only presume was the owner, I politely asked are you still open..the reply was NO we close at 2pm, ok that’s fine as these are your trading hours, let me point out a couple of points, the business has been closed due to covid and I’m sure this would have hit them financially, so why on earth would you turn away 2 people who wanted only a coffee and cake? Maybe you don’t need the money!Secondly how Would i rate the customer service as a 0 as I would expect at least the approach to be handled more professionally, they where still cleaning down in the kitchen so it’s not like the doors where closed!A way to address this would have been to say...sorry we close at 2pm but we are cleaning down I can offer you a coffee or tea and a slice of cake but we do need to close by 3pm, we would have said that’s great thank you ( good customer service)You could have cleaned down the kitchen and made a extra say £16ish whilst doing that...and get repeat business We then drove to woodhall spa and got served without issue So sadly we won’t be returning again, and that’s a shame as last time we had visited it’s was good.

Burgers and chips but burger served with separate relish and coleslaw. Delicious variations we chose cranberry brie and bacon topping and egg and bacon topping both delicious and perfectly cooked. Easy parking opposite sit in or out. Large selection of cold drinks, tea and coffee. Ice creams too. Thoroughly recommend

It appears they are abiding by the coronavirus rules very well which is great but yet a major hygienic faux pas which bugs me.... the baked goods are not covered over so flies and wasps can land on food! Not the most appetising or hygienic of looks..Everything (plenty scones, brownies, cakes) out in the wide open space. I always think, if its like that on the shop front, what is it like behind the scenes. When the food is out in the open space, its difficult to obtain that "freshly baked goods" feeling when goods are probably on display for a week. That being said, I often hear the saying "what you don't know, won't kill you" so I tried a brownie and it was tasty, not fresh but still OK. The man who served me was awkward to deal with.

Did not book as we were meeting up midweek and did not think it would be necessary, so happy we were early, this is a small cafe and the tables soon filled after we arrived. Was surprised to see so much variety on offer and it was nice that we could see the product on display. Coffee and two scones with jam and butter were so lovely we stayed for the second cup. Did not give five stars as the guy serving was not very welcoming.

An absolutely fantastic little place with huge portions! Soup of the day (country veg) and a beef sandwich for £5.75 yes that's just one of many things on the menu. Clean and tidy with friendly staff. A great little quirky place!

Rang ahead to make sure they accepted dogs, Very friendly lady who said yes. Lots of luscious cakes on display as well as a good choice of sandwiches and meals. We had a tasty bacon sandwich and a cup of tea. We looked at other meals being served and they definitely looked very appetising.

Visited today with a baby and a 5 year old. Rang ahead (10.15) for a 12.15 table. Got there 10 mins early and there was a huge que, so we went to sit down at the only reserved table with a chair missing - for the high chair presumably (process of elimination and common sense used here) friend went up to order at 12.15, at 12.20 while she was still waiting to order the bloke came over to me and explained we weren’t supposed to sit there and they would need the table back by 1.15 - which would be fine. By 12.40 my friend was STILL waiting to order, and was made to feel unwelcome by the man behind the till saying we shouldn’t of sat down and she agreed to move. We were moved (as were another couple who were mid way through drinking their coffee) to a small table which was not suitable for a high chair and a 5 year old and we couldn’t fit all our meals on when they eventually came at around 12.55 (had to utilise a spare chair to balance the hot pot of tea that was placed next to the handsy baby - again please use common sense..In any case we were actually finished by 1.15 and didn’t bother sticking around for dessert. Then to top off the rude service we had already received by the man, we were confronted on our way out by a lady whom I think was the owner asking us if there was a problem with our meal to which we replied we were asked to move and she became quite defensive and rude about needing the table by 1.15 as it was pre booked and when we stated we too had booked, she argued we had only given an hours notice (it was 2 as we checked our phone record) in any case if they didn’t have the table space they should of said on the phone. Also when we left at 1.15 there was nobody sat at that table so the aggressive nature was really unhelpful! If we had realised that it would be such an inconvenience for them we wouldn’t have bothered and we certainly won’t be bothering again!

Love the cappuccino and the muffins. Tables outside for warmer weather and several inside. Only thing it lacks is a view out. Staff very friendly and helpful. I am sure we will return.

Enjoyed breakfast on two occasions this week and both were wonderful. Yes you do have a little wait but the food is fresh and well cooked. Loads to choose from and the smoothies are to die for according to my 7 year old granddaugter

Came into the lovely ginger cow cafe and was blown away with the food and service we received from Jane who bent over backwards to meet all our requirements, we asked for extra strong coffee and a smaller portion of Thier smoked salmon, no problem the food arrived buitfuly presented and very fresh and delicious.

Seen this place advertised on Facebook and wanted to give it a try. Staff are lovely but I’m afraid the place isn’t the cleanest. Tables are sticky and not wiped very clean tried to move the teapot and it was stuck to the table. The floor needed a sweep. Had tea and cake and it was just ok. Not sure I would visit again.

We visited as a group of 12, 6 being children. Service was excellent and food was prompt, tasty and reasonably priced. A 20 minute walk from Tattershall lakes along the river.

Waited and waited while woman wiped tables, messed about. Eventually ordered, paid, founds seats, realised tables filthy! Waited, only ordered pot of tea and cakes, couldn't stand the state of the place so said we would sit outside though this was not nice either. Waited some more, waited longer...... Eventually small pot of not very warm tea arrived with uninteresting cakes. All very shoddy and a very odd attitude. Will never go back. Certainly not a coffee shop, just down market greasy spoon . It was clear why you had to pay before getting to tables or food.

A good place to be..staff nice and friendly...place nice and clean and very welcoming...the coffee is one of the best I’ve tasted by far. Yes would definitely visit again.

Popped in one lunch with a friend just to get a drink and maybe a cake. Ended up having more and loving it the so much I was back the following week. Great selection of food on the menu and amazing selection of flavoured milkshakes. Cant wait to make my way through them.

I've eaten here on several occasions. I think that this truly is an asset to the village. I had the Ultimate breakfast and it was excellent very high quality and worth the wait for a freshly cooked meal. I highly recommend eating here. They also do ace milkshakes,ice cream and nice coffee.

We were recommend here by a member of staff at Tattershall Castle and we were not disappointed. Service was good and the food lovely. I had the biggest chip buttie I have ever seen. Couldn't manage it all. Good selection of food to choose from and it was piping hot when it came. Free parking for 2 hours in the car park across the road as there is no roadside parking available. Would highly recommend.

Usually love this place but on a recent visit with my family I noticed that the place was filthy!

Whenever we have visited here the staff have been welcoming and very friendly. Sandwiches are freshly made with a range of fillings, breakfasts are very good and range from the usual breakfast baps to a full English. They also do a massive range of milkshakes with every flavour under the sun.

Went for breakfast on Friday morning, served by a gentleman who didn't appear to want to be there. Told me the water in the fridge was still even though it said sparkling! Ended up having tap water. The food was great.

The reason I have given it 3 stars was because of the wait, my friend and I are cyclists and stopped here on recommendation from another cyclist.

Waited 10 mins then to be told be with u in a second waited another 10 mins as the same guy clean 3 different tables and sat someone else at a table while we where still waiting ended up walking out bad service!!

Tucked away in the middle-of-nowhere but what a find. Nothing special to look at but simply good food, a wide menu and friendly service.

Exceptional. Couldn’t fault it. Service was friendly. Burgers was very tasty and there was a good selection of gins with lots of fresh fruit which was a nice touch 😍👏 We would definitely recommend this and we are looking forward to the next one.

We stumbled across this place today on a walk whilst staying locally. The staff were friendly and the choice was excellent. I wish I would have had room for some cake as it looked amazing! Would definitely return!

Arrived about 12.45 having not booked and didn't realise how lucky we were to get a table for 6. After some deliberation we ordered at the bar. Within minutes the drinks arrived. Delicious piping hot coffee, delivered to the table by an extremely friendly and polite young waiter. Then the food came. And what food. Generous portions beautifully cooked and sandwiches were fresh and obviously made to order. Welcoming staff and a great range of drinks for adults and children. A milkshake range to silence most kids and cakes to rival Mr kipling! Pleasant environment and a nice rest between walks.

We had a interview and arrived earlier so decided to have a coffee which was served very quick and efficient and we therefore decided to call back for lunch . food was very good and although the cafe was busy and we had a little wait and devoured our drinks when our meal arrived we were offered free drinks. as we had waited which we kindly declined. We have never ever been offered a free drink before and the interview was a success and your cafe made our day. Well done to all your staff and would recommend you give a try if in the area
