Love the coffee, food is lovely but can be expensive. Dog friendly, my dog gets a puppychino when we visit. Staff are friendly and welcoming.

Best coffee shop in Louth Staff are always so lovely and welcoming, and always make the effort to say hi to my daughter in her pram when we go in even when it's really busy.

First time I had been in a cafe nero, and I would definitely would visit again, nice seating nice staff, and the most important nice coffee and hot chocolate, the coffee was Hot, which was a pleasent surprise, well done cafe nero louth.

Good points: • soups taste lovely, warmed just right. • choice of seating and cosy decor. • good choice of cakes and pastries. • initial greeting from staff was positive and helpful. Points to take on board: • Coffee asked for was not made well. Was made correctly when asked for a replacement by another member of staff. • Asked whether we wanted a 'smooth' or 'strong' coffee?!! Can be charged extra for this. • Overall cleanliness inside could be improved. • Catty remarks made by staff about customers who complained can be heard and taken on board. As a result, another cafe will be used instead.

Far too many dogs in the very small coffee shop. Some owners seem to think it's OK to let them sit on the seats!

Lovely coffee and great service. But unfortunately the tables and the whole interior needs a good clean. Christmas has arrived but the decorations look very unloved and abit shabby. Sorry but this was first impressions.

Americans coffee was excellent. Would have given 5 stars except there is only 1 loo to serve all customers and you have to queue beside customer tables.

We like going here but a little disappointed with the clearness of the place for the price walls very dirty and windows dead fly's not really what you wanr to ser see when having a coffee and a cake a good clean and all good.

Fabulous staff, always asks how your day is going, always takes interest in the conversation, staff work at such a fast pace to make sure your not waiting long & make sure you have everything before you leave the til, food is always good, lovely to sit in watching the world go by with a coffee with the calming atmosphere

Lovely friendly atmosphere! Staff all very friendly and can’t do enough for you. Absolutely love that you can take dogs inside and they have little pupchino treats for them! Would highly recommend xx

2023: Snide, unpleasant staff & absurdly overpriced. Where's the joy in paying £11 for two coffees and a couple of biscuits? Hopefully doomed business model. Miserable place.

This is an important update to my review. I’ve discovered a new thing in coffee shops, and it’s all thanks to Nero in Louth. The only you should *ever* order with your coffee is coleslaw. Coffee & slaw. It’s 100% the winning combination and only £1 a bowl. I recommend a double scoop and a large latte. It’s got nuts and stuff in and tastes great. Practice before you go in by standing in the mirror and saying “Coffee and Coleslaw please”. I guarantee they’ll give you a knowing nod and see you right. If you know. You know. Get ahead of the curve and follow this advise. Plus if you are lucky you’ll get served by the barista lady with the most amazing and infectious laugh.

The outside of this cafe is a disgrace. It needs repainting or at least a good clean.

I like Neros. It's always warm and comforting and the coffee is nice. Plus they let me bring my dog.

Amazing experience! What a great little coffee shop. Went with my friend during lunchtime, the place was welcoming and the staff was very friendly and approaching. We have ordered a cappuccino & a latte with extra Vegan cream on top and I have to say wowzers, that cream was a cherry on a top! Well worth trying. The coffee shop is quite small but still spacious enough for clients comfort. I will definitely be back.

Excellent coffee, excellent food always a cosy atmosphere, very rare you have to wait for your order, and for the most part the staff are amazing. Unused to be a staebuccaneer back in the day but Nero's blows then clean out the water.

Lovely Cafe Nero in Louth. Pain aux Raisin or Apricot Croissant - decisions decisions! Both so good and really hot coffee. Cafe Nero is the best of the coffee chains.

Okay for a quick coffee I guess but this Louth establishment is not that interesting as there are other independent coffee shops also in the town.

It's a pretty nice place with very friendly staff. We couldn't sit down as it was during covid restrictions but the coffee tasted good. A welcome addition to Louth high street.

Very pleasant little coffee shop on Mercer Row. Nice seating area for when Covid-19 is no longer a problem, and baristas are always friendly and welcoming.

In the climate of lockdown the single member of staff was friendly, personable and positive. She should be praised for her attitude and I hope she enjoys her M&S Xmas dinner

Very poor show by Cafe Nero, no plates .... Warm chocolate fudge cake given too me in a bag, "sorry we have no plates" told to me after the purchase and not take away, more chocolate in the bag than on the cake, back to Costa.

Ok so we are all aware that we have to think a bit more about where we can go and what restrictions are in place at the place we choose to visit. But giving a reduced service and blaming COVID is absolutely BS. The prices are always a bit on the 'ouch' side of reasonable at these cafes for a sandwich or slice or cake but as they come on a plate with a fork and coffee / tea comes in a nice mug - all of which then gets washed and... Oh wait... No plates? No mugs? What!!! But still £4 for a slice of cake? What? Plastic fork and paper plate? Oh, you can't wash up any more? You don't have hot water any more? You have no confidence in your cleaning? But you still charge the same prices? If you come with cash they don't want your service. You have to pay with a card - oh, sorry, wait, no, I mean, ignore what the sign says near the till, they also allow you to pay with your phone but don't say that. Mind readers are we?Then the track and trace *&^%$£s... Have to scan a thing (which I didn't know how to do) which pops open a thing on my phone asking for my details. There is NO indication who is collecting my details. Then the system asks for a location code and the staff looked at each other completely confused... So what am I to do if they don't even know the damn location code.If I wasn't stressed and anxious before I waled into Cafe Nero, I was now... And I wasn't even offered milk for my coffee and dreaded queueing up again to ask for some.But it't ok; I'm more than happy to pay the same prices as before for an inferior service that creates stress and anxiety and to be serviced in a paper cup and paper plates with plastic (single use) cutlery.And to top it off, all rubbish goes into one bin? Plastic, paper, left over food and drink? All in ONE BIN... We know where that's going and it certainly isn't recycling! Other restaurants and cafes use real mugs and plates etc and still offer the full service butCafe Nero choose not to... What a terrible experience.Horrible.Horrible.Horrible.

The two members of staff who served us were friendly and polite, apologising when explaining that all the vegan options had sold out. We settled for their usual great coffee with a flapjack whilst sitting in the comfortable sofa by the window.

I'm a regular here. I love it. Especially the crossiants. Great choice of cakes and sandwiches. Great friendly staff. Best coffee and drinks. Very comfortable and easy. Great for on your own or in a group.

My friend and I ordered to cappuccinos which were given to us to take to the table within 2 minutes, coffee was at the right temp as so many coffees are served Luke warm these days! Very tasty will definitely be visiting again as this was my first Nero coffee!

Usually excellent, but ordered coffee and pastry and a tea and porridge. Had finished the pastry b4 the porridge arrived 'cos they were busy serving other customers. Not what we're used to.

This is a fav-eatery & coffee hub in Louth, the atmosphere is great, staff are all very friendly and extremely helpful. Be aware it does get busy at peak times as you would expect from this popular local hot spot. If you are supporting a healthier lifestyle, we can highly recommend any of Nero’s Veganuary alternatives. With a special shoutout for the Vegan chocolate cheesecake! It’s yummy-licious

Great place, friendly, welcoming, happy staff. Clean, tidy and well presented. I like my coffee weak and they always do it perfectly. You get extra stamps for using your own cup so quicker to earn your free coffee. Cakes, pastries, toasties are expensive but they are everywhere these days. And the cakes are pretty yummy. You are never hurried and if you have a complaint or query it is always dealt with by the staff. Can't fault it, my go to coffee house in Louth.

Queues a nightmare but food and drinks good and staff friendly

A quick visit, to spend some time. A welcoming cafe, with friendly ladies/service, near the school of my daughter. I had not been here yet, but my daughter suggested to.spend some time here. I ordered a White Chocolate Mocha with whipped, which tasted very nice. Not had this before. My daughter opted for a cold Cappuccino. A nice location and a pleasant atmosphere. The also offer a whole range of good looking bites. I’ll will not hesitate to return.

It was OK but a tantruming 3 year old child made it impossible to hear my wife or relax And a hiper active child in the window area ran into our table, the parents seemed oblivious to the actions of their kids, it spoiled it for us and for other customers, good coffee though, could a child free zone be a possibility

This is my favourite coffee shop. The staff obviously enjoy their work which makes for a special atmosphere. The best pastries of all the coffee chains and the coffee is great as well.
