Wellies Bar in East Lindsey

Always nice to pop in for a quick drink. Nice to sit on the balcony on nice day but the beep beep beep beep beep beep beep of the zebra crossing right in front of you gives you a headache. Not wellies fault I know but it's annoying when all you want to do is sit drink relax and people watch. Shame the crossing isn't just a little further up the street.

If you come here for karaoke don't bother. Write you're name down and not get on, they prioritise the locals and you won't sing. People coming in hours after putting your name down get on first, service from staff other than DJ 5stars didn't have food

Very sad to see such a lack of regard for a customer in a wheelchair. There is a staff operated lift at the pub which I thought was great for disabled customers but i was saddened to see how that person wasn't important to the barman. The bar was busy due to a football match and a child had come to the bar to ask for help. He was ignored. I was asked what I wanted and I replied that the young lad was first. The boy said thanks and went on to tell the barman that his dad needed someone to operate the lift. The man said he was too busy serving he'd get to him when he could. I said I didn't mind at all so please go and help him up into the bar. The barman refused and said there were customers to serve. He continued to serve and after a couple of people, I said, the man is still waiting to get in. He said that there was nothing he could do as the bar was too busy and people needed serving. I ended up making a fuss and after 10 minutes another member of staff went to do it. I felt genuinely sorry for the man and the boy left in this situation through no fault of their own amd was so disappointed in the barman who had no regard for how degrading it must be to be at the mercy of others. The excuse was people needed serving before the start of the match. We'll think on so did this chap but he didn't have the opportunity to even get in in time let alone order a drink

Visit regularly on a Saturday night for Kareoke with kev, great atmosphere, sometimes can wait awhile to.get served drinks at the bar on busy nights but that's to be expected

Freindly staff although I thought it was a bigger pub the atmosphere was great all smiles and lots of different age groups mingling chatting having a good time not to long waiting to be served at the bar either

Rock and roll weekend was fantastic . Very helpful door staff helped us get our friends hand bag back after some scrot decided to take it.

Being from London and born in the 21st century I don't think I've ever experienced anything like this before. Elvis type music playing and an old school dancefloor, friendly chatty bar staff and clientele. It's what I imagine growing up in the Midlands in the 1970s to be like. Not that that's a bad thing though, it's what people go to Skeggy for! Was certainly a unique and interesting experience for me, and don't regret getting a drink there.

Really expensive now 2 drinks a pint and a gin over £14 no wonder it's empty Staff are really friendly but drinks are well over priced

We went on a Saturday night it was busy. There was a dj with karaoke. Drinks a bit pricey but given location was to be expected. I think this is the best bar in Skegness.

5 out of 5. This venue is a great place to relax and socialise in comfort, there is plenty of choice …drink wise and snacks are available. The place is warm welcoming well maintained and clean. The toilets are clean and well maintained. There is Sky sports football coverage here if you want to watch a match and the bar staff are great and friendly. Opening times vary according to the time of year but is open for a long time during the tourist season. This is well worthy a visit and is family friendly to. This is an easy venue to get to on foot.

Great venue and I walked in expecting a lovely place with lovely service…. Boy was I wrong… the manager treated me with both disgust and disappointment. Very upset as I used to come here a few years ago with my family, but the change in management has made me distraught. Word of advice: don’t go unless you like abusive comments

I could not believe the service we received the manager was out of order and irrationally erratic. One minute they was happy to serve us alchol next minute they were not for no specific reason, the manager has less teeth than sense also manages the bar across the road which they kicked us out of as he had called ahead. Skegness is supposed to be a tourist attraction one of the many capitals of the UK I have Been here a week and this has soured my full experience. The manager should focus less on the personality’s of customers and more on his interesting dress sense.

Called in for a drink just before closing. Both members of staff very polite. Nice clean premises toilets also spotlessly clean......a bonus!!! Will definitely call again when we're in the area

Good service great DJ Northern soul Motown music. reasonable priced drinks definitely go back again. I do think they should alter their opening hours on here as it says 10pm close nearly didn't go but it was still open when I left at 11:45.🤷‍♂️

This place was so much fun this is where where we ended up starting her nights and sometimes finishing our nights here too. Stuff for a friendly especially the toll barmaid with dark hair 😉😉 that was a good variety of things like entertainment and bands on throughout the time we were there. If I'm ever in Skegness again I'll definitely pop here for another pint

we went twice while in skegness.drinks ok , lots of tv screens,could be cleanrer in places.some staff fine some not.we heard of a few problems with staff . not very good service from bar staff.

Had three day break in Skeggy this was our go to watering hole, staff were excellent and the beer was good. Good prices also

Waited at the bar to get served for literally ages - and I mean ages - whilst SEVEN bar staff were on their mobiles or chatting. Most of them teenagers or early 20’s. Several of them looked at me and carried on chatting. Other customers were starting to get annoyed. I didn’t. I walked out and spent my money in a pub nearby. Need better focus on customers !!

Fab evening. Rock n Roll and rockabilly all night. Drinks weren't too expensive. Really nice place, well looked after. Pleasant staff, great doorman who weren't heavy handed, and there wasn't any need to be either. Just a couple of hundred people having a good time.

Well what a disappointment.. on our honeymoon. Been drinking here all week while Mrs played bingo... While being drinking I have asked a number of times about karaoke 🎤.. was told as rated in website yep Saturday.. however NO... And 1 member was rude about it.. shame about this as was waiting for this night all week!!. Sort your website and rude staff and things will be better.

I've been a regular of Wellies for a few years,and just recently celebrated my 60th birthday there.The staff were lovely,and decorated up the area where i normally sit.We always have a brilliant nite there,a few of us congregate and spend time together every week.

Visited Friday and Saturday night during scooter weekend so it was very busy. Service was efficient but wouldn't say quick. Never saw any trouble with the doorstaff. Pint of fosters was good, toilets although seemed cleaned, the bins were overflowing so maybe more staff required....

Just a word off advice. The pub is run by a family off regulars . Not the landlord. Don’t waste your time going for karaoke. You can put your name on list but you won’t be singing. As the family only sing their selfs. If...

If you like to listen to the locals on karaoke 🎤it's OK but the holiday makers have no chance of get a tune in. Watched people putting names down but they never got called to sing. Disappointing.

Totally awful experience let down by lack of information and door staff that seem to be trained politicians not answering any questions but instead repeating themselves over and over. If you go on a karaoke night do not sit by the dancefloor if wanting to...

Good night out with live music of mixed music genres. great atmosphere and choice of drinks. Live music throughput the day and night, but night was better with no kids after 9pm.
