Restaurant here is top notch! Good options for food sensitivities, great service & the food is absolutely delicious! The garden centre is also excellent, lots of different areas to explore & even a hidden giant panda in amongst the bamboo 😁🐼 Plenty of great quality items inside as well, would definitely recommend it to anyone & we stop off here as regularly as we can, especially to see the car park guardian diplodocus!

We used to love the breakfast here and always raved about it. We have not been for a few months until today. Staff always nice and friendly but the quality of the food has gone down hill. Hard greasy bacon, cheap quality sausages not the same as they used to be , the brown bread for toast is now thin slices, it used to be thicker. We certainly can not recommend it anymore.

Arrived at garden centre restaurant today for the carvery. Tables in restaurant dirty and not cleared. After I paid for the meals a member of staff came out from kitchen and said don't sell anymore carvery as nothing left. As we got to front of queue we were left with scraps of meat. The roast potatoes were so dried up I couldn't get my knife through them the Yorkshire puddings were frozen in the middle . My friend had quiche which was served on brown curled up lettuce and looked like a child's portion. I actually felt sorry for the lady carving the meat as she was trying to eek it out for remaining customers. Very poor show to have run out of meat at 1. 30 when the carvery is on till 3. Sorry to say we will not be returning. Several people around us were also complaing. I did have a word with a member of staff who said if we ad complained at the beginning of the meal she would have sorted it. With what as there was nothing left to sort it with.

I have been visiting this restaurant for a while now and we always make a special trip for the breakfast as when we first came it stood out and tasted amazing however todays visit we was very disappointed. The food and drinks didnt live upto the standards we are use to here The food just wasnt the same, beans seemed like they had been sat awhile, bacon was very fatty, we asked for this to be well cooked but it wasnt, toast cold and unable to spread the butter. To pay £25 for 2 breakfasts and 2 drinks was unacceptable. We wont be visiting in the future nor recommending it going forward.

Love coming here for Sunday Carvery and a nice walk around the garden centre after. Food is always good and we love that we can take the dogs in with us. The only issue we've had here is the decline in the amount of meat we get on the carvery and the wait times. There was barely one slice of each of the 2 meats I chose, just little bits this Sunday. We've had good portions in the past but every year they seem to reduce the meat and increase the price. Compared to other places I've been the meat amount is really pitiful, it's tastes great but there just isn't enough. We also had to wait for over 30 minutes in the queue for the carvery itself which is the longest we've ever had to and we've been coming here for years now. Staff can be hit and miss, some are nice and welcoming, others rush you through and barely say 2 words. The service this sunday was a bit of a mess to be honest.

Whenever we are in the area, we always call for the "renowned" Sunday carvery. (Available on Sundays/Wednesdays) 3 meats Available (gammon, chicken and beef) all perfectly cooked and a very good choice of cooked vegetables. There are 3 sizes of carvery available. Under 7's Standard Large. I can eat well, but a standard size is plenty enough for me. You can also buy extra Pigs in Blankets (2 off). I highly recommend the carvery here but I would also recommend that you arrive in plenty of time, as you can't prebook tables. People will usually be queuing for the carvery from around 11•30am and people drive from miles away, for the carvery.

We visited here for breakfast after a very busy morning packing up our tent to go home after a stay at a nearby campsite (extra points for being dog friendly!). All very hungry there were plenty of options to choose from and even the option to build your own breakfast which was great for my daughter who wouldn’t eat a full breakfast but would still like certain items! The staff were lovely, the service was quick and the food was delicious! Extra shoutout to the iced latte and the big buts breakfast. It was amazing! We will definitely be returning when we are back in Anderby. Thank you!

After having had a fantastic experience here midweek during the summer, we promised ourselves we would be back for Sunday dinner. We booked by email, which was confirmed within minutes, Howe when we arrived there was no record of the booking. I was able to find the confirmation email. We were told that we could be accommodated but it would have to be in the bar area as there were 3 other bookings which already had restaurant tables reserved. We were advised to pick a table and they would set it up for us. We showed them where we would like to sit and waited for someone to bring some seating to the table. After 10 minutes we were still standing so found a different table which had seats in place. (We had already informed them that my husband was recovering from a broken ankle) Eventually the waitress came and gave us cutlery and placemats but no salt and pepper. She took our meat orders and I asked whether the veg would include cauliflower cheese, as I would like to not have it, as I have an allergy/intolerance. We waited a further half an hour for our meals, which came with the vegetables served on a tray, including the cauliflower cheese. There was only one spoon which was resting in the cheese sauce so I had to request another one. I then dished myself up a spoonful of swede/carrot mash and one broccoli floret. I did try to dish up some cabbage but found that when lifted from the plate, the cabbage came out from under the cauliflower cheese and covered in the sauce, so I had to not have cabbage. After the meal, the waitress came to clear the table. She dropped some vegetables on the tablecloth and asked if we wanted puddings to which I responded yes. After waiting for 38 minutes with no sign of the waitress to clean the table or take our pudding order, we decided to leave. On taking our payment the bar staff asked if everything had been ok, so I mentioned the above. He simply said, ‘sorry about that ‘but the mains were ok?’ I chose not to continue with the conversation, as my husband had overheard the barman say that he was going to rip someone’s head off. We are really disappointed as we had been telling everyone about how good our experience in the summer was. To top it all, there was a very large dog in the area which smelled strongly and a group of young children also came and used the pool table right next to us, despite there being a notice advising that nobody under 16 was allowed to use it. Another customer did point it out but was ignored. One or two little things we could have overlooked/forgiven but unfortunately there were too many today and we won’t be back
