Great place, each room is dedicated to a specific aeroplane and log burner in each room. Lovely welcoming staff and lovely and warm the weather outside was extremely cold. The food was delicious the best rib eye steak Ive ever had. We don’t live in the area were just visiting but now looking to come back to the area just to come back to the pub

Such a beautiful old pub. The staff were very friendly, the menu was very good and reasonably priced. They had both fires lit 😍 so it felt very cosy. The food was excellent and so was the beer 🍻 it also has the added provenance that the Dambusters drank there. If we lived closer, this would be a regular for us. I highly recommend it if you are in the area.

I would avoid this pub, a great disappointment. We arrived for lunch, and went to the bar. The bar staff ignored us, because they seemed to be thinking about what to do! We asked to be seated, and were waved in the direction of the tables. We sat down and waited, and waited. Tired of being ignored, we left and had lunch elsewhere. The historical potential of the pub is enormous!!

Came here today with my husband for lunch. The Bluebell Inn is gorgeous, so steeped in history, with lots of memorabilia everywhere. The service we received was amazing, so was the food, I had the Bluebell Burger, in a brioche bun, with chips, salad and coleslaw. It was perfect. The burger was well flavoured, it came with bacon, onion rings, and tomato. It was lovely and hot. My husband had the pie of the day, which was steak and ale, this was with chips and peas he said it was lovely and hot, with really tasty steak and gravy and puff pastry, we both remarked on how good the chips were. It was busy in there, but we didn't have to wait for long for our meals either. A definite 10/10! 😊

There were 4 of us, all friends and we were really looking forward to our Sunday lunch here but it was unbelievably disappointing. The whole table surface was sticky and we had to continually ask for our cutlery as the table was not ready even though we had reserved it the week before. All I can say is that the portion sizes are an insult. 2 tiny slithers of insipid meat per person, 3 of us had beef and 1 pork. A cheap ready meal has more meat in it. We also ordered starters, soup and garlic mushrooms which were also meagre. We spent nearly £90 on a rubbish Sunday dinner. NEVER AGAIN HERE. Repeat business and recommendations come from good quality food and service, not bad experiences. There are so many other better places to go to. We'll be letting everyone we know about the rubbish food served here.

Wow! what a stunning little pub bursting with charm and history. I called in without booking a table after spending time watching the present day RAF Coningsby in action, as you walk in to this old world pub with it`s low ceilings and wooden beans you soon become aware of the memorabilia of Royal Air Force contained within, from the names written on the ceiling of crew members both past and present to the individual rooms with photos it soon becomes clear that during WW2 this pub became very popular with those stationed nearby. For me the most poignant thing was the pennies pressed into the beams by airmen placed there to pay for the next pint upon return from a mission, and sadly as we all know many of those brave young men never made it back home, this really bought a lump to my throat and a tear to my eye. You could almost imagine the scene around 80 years ago of men drinking and raising a glass to comrades lost in action knowing full well it might well be there turn next. I ordered some food which arrived in no time at all a good portion and very tasty washed down with a pint of Spirit of Jane Pale Ale. The staff and service were great if you are ever in the area make sure to come and visit you will not regret it, just make sure to check the opening times beforehand
