Efess Pizza & Kebab House in East Lindsey

Ordered to be delivered via just eat, £40 plus order never arrived but was put through as delivered. Will be going into shop Tomo to hopefully clear this up.

Paid over £40,.order never arrived. Just eat insist restaurant marked as delivered but restaurant claims they cancelled order (although I have had tracking updates and a order received number) heading down to shop Tomo to sort if money not back in account as stated.

4th October - just had my second delivery and all I can say is that the old scottish man that brought it needs to learn some manners! He is truly disgusting! He banged on my door like it was going to come through and when I said he made me jump because he banged so loud he said he was very concerned for me if I thought he had banged the door. He slammed the gate on the way out and I had to go shut it properly because I have dogs. What a revolting big mouth he is. I won't be ordering again! Get yourself some decent staff!!! 27th September - I haven't had a good kebab for years and gave up trying to find one. My favourite is Star Kebab in Alfreton, Derbyshire and nothing has ever come close. Some I have tried have be absolutely disgusting. Missing my fix, I decided it was time to start looking again and after reading reviews I decided to try Efess. It was really nice. The chilli and garlic mayo? I wish there was more lol Even the chips were great and I am not normally a fan of frozen chips. They were done exactly how I like them. Thank you for a fab Friday night meal :)

Salad separately on a kebab about £3.50 seriously have a word. Kebab meat OK tho, people don't always like it on top as it goes soggy, maybe add a quid on if your that desperate for cash but most places don't have a problem doing a little bit salad separately.

We decided to try this place after a few good reviews we read, especially the one of the person who said they drive miles just to eat here. Unfortunately, we was very much disappointed. This was the worst kebab I've ever had. I got a lamb doner, the meat came completely undercooked, it was still practically white. It also had a strange taste and texture. My sister got a chicken doner and mainly got pieces of fatty/chewy meat. When we were ordering, we asked to have our salad separate from the kebab meat and was told we would have to buy extra side salads, even though our kebabs came with salad, we just wanted it separated from the meat because it gets soggy. I've never heard something so ridiculous! Sadly, around 80% of the food got thrown away. The only good thing I have to say is their garlic sauce is to die for! Absolutely disgusting food though and would never order from here again.

Absolutely useless. Allow you to order food not to turn up avoid avoid avoid. I now have a 10 Yr old autistic kid not being able to understand why his foods not here

Ordered a Mixed kebab cost £13 mostly doner meat personally I thought it wasn't worth the money won't be using again!

I don't order from any other takeaway but here and I live 19 miles away so thats a 38 mile round trip but its definitely worth it for quality food and fairly priced. They do have speedy delivery for local post code .

Just be brave and charge more. The salad always tasted fresh. What I had should really have been £14.00 ( cost £7.50 ) then a decent job could have been done. As it was, the wrap was moist and salad fresh, but the chicken quality let it down. I am sure after all these years you know what is good and what isn’t. Be brave and charge as you need to

perfect place to get a take away pizza, twice i have had a take away from here, once collected and once delivered, both superb quality food, service etc wouldnt go anywhere else :) big thumbs up

Used to come here in around 2015-2019 before covid. After covid, we returned to see the expensive prices. We went to Marmaris 2 doors down and the prices were nearly half. I have only noticed this places prices have gone up and up and upz would also like to comment that the staff are quite rude and the food you always get is cold.

1st time getting a takeaway from here, and the pizza and garlic bread were just delicious, only downside was the salad was very wet and not as nice. But saying that i would use Efess again and again for pizza's so much topping on and so tasty :) and delivery was so quick less than 30 mins from on-line order to front door so you can't get much better than that. Thank you.

I been going to this place for the last 10 years and by far the best takeaway I’ve ever had I always get Mexican pizza I went on Sunday and walk up Monday with food poisoning I’m struggling with it and I definitely won’t be going back here ever again stay away!

I ordered from here tonight, sent the wrong order after even repeating the order back to me. When I rung up they offered to do a discount for next time expecting me to come back again. They said they’ll send 2 more kebabs out but not the rest of the order which would be cold after waiting another 25 minutes. They also wanted the original order back… if you’re going to mess up the whole of someone’s order you refund and replace THE WHOLE OF IT. Will not be coming back again, much better literally around the corner

I ordered burger and chips which looked good, Kids meal also looked good, and I ordered a mixed kebab I paid £9.50 for it, it was small very minimal salad, the best thing about the kebab was the chilli sauce. I must admit after the first time I ordered from there I’m very disappointed. I may not order from here again.

it was absolutely disgusting! i ordered a plain pizza when i bit into what i thought was a pizza i was splashed in the eyes with tomato sauce!!! out of shock i spat out the bite i took it went right into my my 41 year old daughters eyes! at the time she was drinking her beer, out of her complete shock she spat her beer out all into my wife's eyes my wife then spat out her BOILING mush peas all into my 36 year old sons eyes. Ordered a takeaway for the 3rd or 4th time here. I requested the sauce on the side of the kebab as my partner and I were sharing and I do not like the sauce. It came all over, as we did it through just eat I put it on there and they offered a refund for the dish (the 1 dish that was wrong). This was followed up by a phone call a couple of hours later (whilst I was in bed asleep!) from someone who worked there shouting at me regarding the complaint! I have never experienced such bad customer service before. All because ‘the sauce tubs cost money’. I will never be ordering from here again and will advise anyone not to support such foul behaviour.

Ordered a half pounder donner burger expecting a half pounder beef burger with donner meat but get a donner bap, and also order a garlic pizza bread which very burnt top and base and garlic butter taste more like cottage cheese and staff had a tell someone who cares attitude very disappointed

Ordered large kebab and 10’ garlic bread with cheese. Driver charged me over £16 when the price to £12.90. Refused to give me the receipt . I rang asked to speak to the manager and got told he was busy then they slammed the phone down

Beautiful food, service by Dave was brilliant. As visitors to the cost we didn't know it was cash only. Dave did everything possible for us to order. Returned the following night ( with cash) will definitely return next time we visit skegness. Thanks Dave, keep up great work and hope that pay rise comes your way. You deserve it. Ceril lol

Best kababs in Lincolnshire l think ... They cook the kebabs on charcoal which give it a really lovely taste ..cooked fresh and salad really fresh

Phoned the restaurant to arder food for delivery, asked what is food comes with and when l said let me ask other and will call you back, they just hanged phone on me . Found it very disrespectful and would never give them same opportunities again.

Ordered delivery close to closing time, arrived 20 minutes early, steaming hot and tasty, however the reason for the review is that the delivery driver was very polite and friendly and deserves some recognition for great service, wish I had tipped but had no cash

Ages since i had tried a donner kebab. I stopped on impulse and asked for a small lamb donner. I have an alergy to mayonnaise and so i made it clear i ONLY wanted mint sauce. I was asked if i wanted salad to which i replied everything BUT beetroot. He told me it would be a couple of minutes wait so i stood outside my order was bagged and handed to me an i paid £5.90. I travelled all the way home thinking bout how nice my tea was hoing to be. I dont live local to EFFES but thought I would re heat in the microwave if it had cooled off. Opened the package and what did i find???? A donner covered in mayonnaise white sauce!!!! Soacked in beetroot. I could not salvage any of it ....... straight in the bi!!!! . I really am disappointed. I haven't used EFFES before and i am not likely yo use again. I hate it when people dont listen ...... very very very disappointed ((((((((( i opened a pot noodle ((((

we ordered food through just eat and the delivery driver turned up and called my husband a c@nt and threw our food on the floor. We don't even know them as we were on holiday.. definitely won't be ordering from there when we return. Don't deser the business. Luckily just eats refunded us in full due to the rude service we recieved.

Orders a mixed Kababe and chips large. When it was delivered we only received Kababe. Delivery driver was fine. However when we complained to the manager who sId he took my order, his attitude was terrible no respect for customers. I cannot believe the attitude on this man to not care about the people they provide a service for. Please do log order from them. I would recommend Milano’s of Skegness

Absolutely shocking! Ordered a chicken kebab to get home to find its chicken dinner rather than the skewered chicken. At the price o paid I expected skewered not the rank chicken kebab. Poor, poor move and very sneaky!

The food from Efess is very consistent, and their side salads are so fresh and flavoursome. Delivery always within the stated time. If I’ve ended up with a kebab I didn’t really like, I realise that I had ordered the wrong choice. I’m local to Skegness, and they have always been consistent. Would recommend . Keep the good work up.

Fresh food salad was fresh. The meat was cooked over coals best kebab I've ever had and the missus loved her pizza. The staff was welcoming and nice people. Thanks guys 👍

just had a kebab and and a doner meat kebab and it took a little longer for my order to be delivered but it was well worth the wait. will definately use again

First off the food was 50 minutes late and when we rang to see where it was the man on the phone didn't seem sympathetic at all. Kebab was cold and the pitter bread ripped because it was so greasy. Delivery driver was nice and apologised for being late due to working on his own and being rushed off his feet and over worked. Not impressed not ordering from here again absoloute nob cheeses-xoxo karen ( yes I always ask for the manager and I drive a citroen Picasso )

Used to be a loyal customer and chose to go with my own experience over the many complaints that I would hear from people. However in keeping with my own experiences, I will never again order from Efess after having two kebabs delivered that were raw. I advise to stay away.

I’ve used this takeaway for 20 years, I can honestly say that since JustEat became involved the quality of service and food has dramatically declined.. easy enough to order online, not so easy for them to get your order right... several times now I’ve had to phone them back, only to be told their recipes haven’t changed....They’re probably right, their recipes may not have changed, but whomever is reading the orders isn’t getting them right!!

This is what I've just read about this place........ Absolutely disgusted with what I've just witnessed and been subjected to. Myself and my family were walking home from a family meal when we witnessed the staff from Efess takeaway (in skegness), brutally kicking and stamping on a man's head whilst he was on the floor, we obviously couldn't stand by and watch so shouted over to the other side of the road asking for the men to stop. The men from Efess then approached myself and my two daughters (One of which was in her wheel chair) and started aggressively shouting at us asking why we asked them to stop and saying that we were like all English people and that we were racist. We simply said that we didn't think that any violence was appropriate and especially not in view of children, the men from effess then continued to shout aggressively at us, at this point I had 2 petrified crying children and felt the need to quickly remove us from the situation as I felt pretty certain that the men were going to become physically violent with us. We have reported the incident to the police and hope that justice is served.

Only giving 1 star as I have to. Vile staff and management, who think it's acceptable to stamp on a young mans head whilst he's laid in the floor, and then go on to verbally abuse a woman and 2 children because they dare ask for them not to harm the man. Lost us as customers for life.

Absolutely shocking, had family round so thought we’d order rather then cook, rang Effes and placed my order they said it’ll be with you in the hour, rang them back 1 hour and 20 minutes later and they said it’ll be with you in 10-15 minutes, 2 hours and 35 minutes later still no food so rang again then they said they had trouble and police had to be called, not the first time they’ve used this excuse with people either, 40 minutes later and still no food, by this point I didn’t want anther excuse so my sister in-law rang and they said we’d been sat outside your house for 10 minutes, we had the curtains open so we could see when someone comes on the street so that was a lie and he got very rude on the phone then said we can cook it for you now if you want, why would we want to wait for more excuses when the food still doesn’t turn up, we then ordered from nimruds and they was early, food was beautiful and they was all very polite, maybe Effes should ring them and ask for some pointers, they can’t even handle a normal weekend god help them in the peak season!

Disgusted with this place. Ordered 2 pizzas was told 10 mins, people that came in after me got served and went out with pizzas. When I asked I was told another 10 mins as they busy? My grandson came into shop who is 17 they then decided to speak to him instead and gave him the pizzas! Sex discrimanation! Would not recommend this place at all, the pizzas where very soft and bland, so much so my grandson didnt eat it all. The pizza and kebab place round the corner is much better and would highly recommend!!! If it was possible I would give this place no stars

Well where to start I ordered food and got told it would be 45 minutes to 1 hour and nearly 2 hours later, it finally gets here 1 order is completely wrong and the other 2 was cold and burnt and totally greasy. We called back up and complained and got told the voice of the speaker was intimidating and so we got our new kebab and it was finally right. The delivery driver was so rude he had no manners what so ever I will not be ordering from here again. If i could I would rate this place -2 stars.

been to all the takeaways around skegness as i stayed here for 2 weeks and this definitely the best kebab shop by far not al baba and milarnos are just nasty really are chicken shish is beaut from effees

During a family holiday to the resort thought we would have a trip to a pizza place and after ordering our food it was cooked in a quick efficient fashion and when we recieved it it was very warm and fresh when we got it back to the van it was just bad! Burnt and tasteless would go far to say worse takeaway I have ever had!! Glad I don't have to visit again

Order a shish Kebab and I got Donner meet and cut up bits of lamb. Ordered Cookie Dough ice cream and got Phish food! Rang to complain and basically they admitted messing up and asked me what should they do.£20 in the bin!!

Returning to skegness after a winter break attended to the holiday home after exhausting ourselves we fancied some whole hearted naughty food So that meant effes and it did not disappoint 10 out of 10

Have been using these for over a year via the just eat website. My latest order was declined because they were apparantely too busy. Well sorry but a regular customer that orders all year round is way better than the holiday makers. These have just lost my custom.
