The best restaurants serving Chinese food in Yorkshire and The Humber

Tried several different chinese takeaways since we moved to Scarborough a few months ago and stumbled upon this place by accident after visiting silks next door one day. The food from here was by far the nicest of all the takeaways we've tried. Wish they were on just eat though, it's easier to order and pay via an app.

I've been using this take away for many years and the food is always good, and reasonably priced. The staff are friendly and efficient. Would definitely recommend.

Love it Good food, friendly, polite staff, decent price. They once messed up my order and replaced it with no fuss at all. Every other time i've been there (at least 20 times) the food has been spot in. Premises are nice and clean, masks worn. Top little take away.

Was one big lump of congealed mess, I ordered a large but they squeeze it all together so it all tastes the same. It’s nothing like a Chinese meal. It’s like something I would make at home then wish I hadn’t bothered

As someone else mentioned, we've also been eating here from time to time for several years and always found the food good. Last time quality had gone down a bit, but this time, a lot. To begin with, the rice we were given was basmati - the long grain Indian rice - instead of the customary short grain sticky Chinese rice. All of the food was heavily seasoned with Chinese five spice, a taste which is still lingering with me several hours later, and not in a pleasant way. My chop suey should have been loaded with a variety of vegetables but instead was almost entirely beans sprouts with a few limp bits looking like spring onion offcuts, plus about three little sticks of Julienne carrot. Very little in the way of onion, mushroom, peppers, carrots or anything else they could have used. The charsiu pork was quite tough and difficult to chew. My husband's sweet and sour chicken had carrot and onion bits that were virtually raw. I like vegetables still crunchy but those had probably only been cooked for about 30 seconds. There was really not a lot of chicken and what there was involved a lot of little bits of batter which probably did not contain any chicken inside. The chicken itself almost seemed as though it had been pre-cooked and then heated up again as it seemed a bit tired and dry. My husband's fried rice was unrecognizable as such. I'm sure we could have done better with a couple of packets of rice and a frozen meal from a supermarket. We won't be eating here again. There's no point in having a five star hygiene rating if you serve food that's inedible.

Had food from here before but it tasted even better this time as we won a fourteen inch box of a delicious mix of chinese food

So freaking tasty omg. I honestly wasn’t sure what I was to expect at first but goodness I completely love this place. Highly recommend

Amazingly tasty. I’d recommend the BBQ ribs, crispy chilli chicken, beef chow mien. Always fast cooking times if you pick up. Highly recommend

Lots of microwaving going on...I got duck and special curry and it was just gross. Would never to back.

La sal y la pimienta ordenadas costillas de repuesto de aquí no hay huesos en las costillas de repuesto no explica esto en el menú, el producto (no puede llamarse comida) parecía roces de cerdo llenos de grasa muy poca carne, no habrían alimentado a un perro, hubiera dado cero estrellas si estuviera permitido, rechazó un reembolso completo, evite este lugar a toda costa.

Ordered here for three years with no problem. Tonight waited over an hour and 15 mins for delivery, before calling them to see where the food was. When I called them, they stated food had been sent out for delivery 10mins earlier. 15 mins later still no food. Called back again to be laughed at by a very unprofessional member of staff. Asked to speak to a manager who told me “what do you expect, it’s a Friday night”. Really poor service and when food arrived I told delivery driver to take it back as not prepared to eat cold food. Food might be ok, service a joke.

This place is great, a real treat! Recommend the duck pancakes, they are delicious. We always get the soft noodles, the vegan lamb option has been our favourite protein to add to this so far. Always delivered on time too. Can't fault it!

We order through Uber eats took about 25 min but they couldn’t find a driver so did take longer, we got salt and pepper box it okay the ribs are vile would stay away but other than it it lovely it warm ( we was worried about the bad reviews but all good on are end )

Food arrived cold, chips did not taste freshly made, sweet sour chicken was terrible and was cold (batter tasted odd and was not crispy), chicken chow mein below average, spring rolls pastry was cold and not crispy. Over all I didn’t like the taste and my family did not eat any of the food after trying their first bite. All wasted and money! Delivery took an hour almost. First time trying here and won’t be back unfortunately.

Ordered takeaway, food was very nice and came quickly. Definitely ordering again
