Wonderful in Barnsley

Always been our go to Chinese for years but was very disappointed tonight everything tasted reheated especially the salt and pepper chips they were like cardboard. Always delivered quickly but would rather wait longer for it to be fresh when it arrives

Had a takeaway last night and have to say was one of the best we've had in a long time . The rice was perfect a fluffy,I had Thai king prawn green curry and never tasted one as good. The special curry and chow mein perfect. Also had some salt and pepper squid which was again cooked perfect . Had to wait nearly an hour for delivery but was worth the wait .

Just moved here. My friend recommended this Chinese takeaway. Nice food and friendly.

The worst Satay I have ever had bland tasteless total waste of money avoid!! Just bamboo shoots & water chestnuts terrible !! Customer service was also appalling!!

Horrible went in bin Crispy beef in ok sauce....soggy Was ill next day vomiting/diarrhoea Never again... wish id read reviews but like others I have tried here before and it was ok

First time to order here and had Pancake Rolls which had a nice taste but a little bit greasy, chicken sweet and sour balls batter quite thick and the chicken was dry inside sauce but greasy and not a great taste, beef and mushrooms which was really nice and fried rice which was nice come to £20:20 which is fairly competitive compared to a number of takeaways in the area. This is a cash only takeaway.

First time ordering, egg fried rice, salt and pepper prawns delicious but beef in OK sauce horrible-smelled and tasted of vinegar, OK sauce should be sweet, this went in bin, Shame as other dishes nice

Absolutely disgusting. Crispy shredded beef was soft & the sauce was more like gravy. Prawn toast burned. Even the prawn crackers were greasy. Never again.

Had a bad name in the past wich I think has stuck. However, been a brilliant improvement since the new family took over. Lovely friendly people, great fast service and the food is really tasty. Eat from here regular and iv not had a bad meal once. Very nice

Used to order from here all the time and ordered for the first time in years tonight. Really tasty food! Beef Chow mein was delicious. Will definitely be ordering more often!

Food was awful honestly, no flavour, salt n pepper chicken is not chicken it’s stringy and rubbery,never have I ever had chicken with that consistency,

We had a takeaway tonight and it was beautiful. It was ready on arrival and was fantastic!

Food I had was terrible. Thrown most of it in the bin.

Delicious food, great selection on the menu and great value too. We have been going to Wonderful for years now and have never had a bad meal. Staff are so helpful too.

Really tasty food, cooked fresh and not a long wait, I only use this Chinese.

Love this family from Hong Kong but last 2 visits; the food quality was disappointing: undercooked chicken about a year ago, took a year to give it a second chance. The quality of what they're cooking is questionable. A real shame. I can imagine that they are controlling spending as much as possible on ingredients to stay in business: but this, I'm afraid, will be their failure. Difficult times for all but undercooked, declining quality of ingredients is only going to go one way. I wish you the very best. X

I have used this establishment for years I have placed a very large order and paid for it to have it delivered as I do not drive they have now ring and said they cannot deliver as they are too busy it is 2 pm not ordered for delivery in till 7 they cannot refund for 5 days so after spending 50 pounds cannot have a takeaway. Do not use this takeaway

Special chow mein should call it meat free chow mein it was very poor 3 small peices pork it was cold worst I have ever had won,t be ordering from there again

Bought food, added it up the next day and got over charged by £10! There were a few of us so i didn't question it. Food was average

Let me just start by say moving to Dodworth. 10 years ago I've still not found a great chinese as of yet and this is the worse yet. When walking in I honestly thought with the owner been old must will be a good place to eat He will have loads of years experience etc etc.. All I can say These dishes we ordered wasnt good quality in fact disgusting tasteless vile. Shredded crispy beef not crispy. All bland every dish tastes the same watery.. The food wasn't even goodenough for rats in the sewage.. Stay well way people just thought with seeing years of experience old Chinese man cooking.. This is what there supposed to be good at it's in their nature but obviously not bothered just lazy throw water in heat it up and serve it

Always been on time love their beef curry can't fault them.

Just moved to this area and our first take away was delivered in good time. It was piping hot and delicious. We will be using this place on a regular basis.

Average Chinese takeaway. They deliver but sometimes arrives piping hot, other times nearly cold and need reheating in microwave.

Chinese takeaway, clean premises. There is allergy advice clearly on display. Decent sized portions

First time ordering. I ordered Sweet and sour chicken Balls in batter, hubby ordered curry. We also ordered onion rings. I scored this a 3 because hubby enjoyed his curry but personally id have scored less. The batter on my chicken was appalling, in fact inedible the fork bounced off it like a rubber ball. The onion rings were not much better.I dissected the chicken out of the batter, in fact the batter was a waste of a good bit of chicken. Onion rings, well, im sure there was onion amongst the batter. For a Chinese food provider not being able to do a decent batter is appalling , it was so stodgy it stuck to the fork, so, not impressed, disappointed and hungry. Now raiding the fridge. No second time for me, however hubby would go back for the curry and another good point was quick delivery.

I don’t know what’s happened to this place recently it used to be my favourite Chinese takeaway in the area but the last 3 meals I’ve ordered from there have been quite poor. I tend to order noodle based dishes but for some reason of late they come packed with beansprouts and hardly any noodles ! Tonight to out fox them l ordered a portion of plain soft noodles expecting to get just that .... nope again packed to the gunnels with beansprouts ! I’ve given up now and will take my business elsewhere, shame it used to be so good

Garlic and chillie main (chef's recommendation) had very little dry deep fried crispy pieces of meat in on a mountain of onions with an awful dried chilli and garlic seasoning (dry dish).Mixed appetiser for one was of poor quality dry and very small £4.50.Mushroom curry was nice.Chips where nice.The young lady answering the phone was ever so polite and very helpful (can not fault her).The older lady (the manager) aka the Chinese lady was hard to communicate with and I had the feeling she thought I was trying to pull a fast one by taking the dish back to the shop to complain.Its a shame as I have had a few from here in the past and enjoyed them however as she didn't deal with my complaint in the correct way (all I wanted was a beef in black bean to fill my Belly) I shall not be returning.

liked it not my favourite take away but would do in a pinch needs more prawn on the prawn toast. The special Udon needs more flavour and needs to be a bit more srecial A few small changes here and there and could be great.

Had a very tasty Chines takeaway from here. Small family business & very friendly. The Special curry was especially good.

Just used this Chinese tonite for the first time after a recommendation and found it to be top notchFood was delivered within 45min and was piping hot and very nice Really nice and plenty of it We will definitely use againThanku to the staff

Great weekend takeaway and will deliver,one of my favourites. Plenty to go around aswell. Chicken wings starter a must.

Great Chinese food. I have never had to wait longer than 10 minutes even at peak times. They also provide a local delivery service. Prices and portions are reasonable.

If they were having an off night - I picked a bad night to try them for the first time. Fast service but terrible food.

I've eaten food from many of the Chinese takeaways in and around Barnsley and this one is the best so far. Their roast duck curry (I know it's not Chinese but I sometimes hanker for the strange taste of Chinese curry - so sue me) is sublime and I'll be having that and many other food treats from them again and again.......................

2nd Jan 2017 . Just had takeaway and it's ok if your happy with drab. There are plenty more average chinese takeaways that are not good but better than here.
