Always friendly staff, either the delivery guys or the staff if ever I've made a mistake ordering and needed to change it they have been more than helpful. (Having ADHD I can make mistakes and they have always been amazingly helpful, patient and kind). The food is always warm and wonderful and always arrives so quickly. ❤️ thanks guys!

We had the Banquet for four last night -C1. Absolutely beautiful, from the starters to the mains. When myself & the wife were unpacking and sorting it out we wondered how we were going to get through it all. It made for a great night for the four of us. Highly recommended.

Best Chinese takeaway in brighouse

I've been ordering from here for the last 3/4 years and in that time I never had any bad service an only one sub par meal that seemed like a one off. The last few times I've ordered here though have been completely different. I live above a pub so ask drivers to ring me when outside so I can get the food. No driver in Huddersfield has ever not got hold of me. The last few times I've ordered I've had no phonecall, they say they ring no missed call or voicemail ever comes through. As this was starting to get more frequent, I decided to take a pause from ordering here for a while. Tonight I thought I would give it another go. Yet again they "couldn't get through to me" and "my phone was off" I had put on my notes to ring me when they were on their way to stop this from happening, did they bother? No. Food arrived stone cold dumped outside the wrong flat. I rang the takeaway. Also they sent the wrong items.The man on the phone offered no apologies and basically said it was my fault. He then put me on to the driver who said my phone was off. Neither let me speak, spoke over me. When I did get a word in edge ways the driver called me "argumentative" at the end the "boss man" offered me another meal, but by the point of being lied to this many times and being blamed for their mistakes I was past it. Let me tell you I will be letting everyone know about the poor customer service here. For years I raved about this place, well no longer. Bad service, cold food!

Personal favourites are Singapore style vermicelli, chicken and black bean, chicken curry and salt & pepper chips. What can I say, soo tasty

Our usual place closed so tried here, wasn’t disappointed, extensive menu choices, food was excellent, tasty and good portions although the spring rolls were rather small, ordered and paid online, food ready to collect in 20 mins, will definitely use Golden Bamboo again

Not great . I’m not a fan of chicken done this way (boiled by the texture and taste ?).The rest of my chow mien was ok however just left all the chicken ! Fab salt n pepper chips Sweet and sour chicken balls far too big and a bit dry .expensive aswell .

We get Vermicelli and Chicken curry from here, both are normally excellent and arrive quickly, Vermicelli is sometimes a bit oily but not too often, there is enough to save for dinner the following day so worth every penny.

VERY DISAPPOINTED! Ordered a few times from here and it’s been quite nice last but last night but took 1hr 45mins to come! I appreciate it’s busy on a sat night but the food was cold when it finally came. ordered salt & pepper chips which were over cooked, looked and tasted like they had been cooked and reheated! Egg fried rice was cold and gravy was just pure salt! Everything went in the bin! £6 for 3 sausages and a bit of gravy and a few onions!

Ordered an hour and a half ago, rang 3 times told on its way 3 times, then it’ll be 1 min then 3/4 mins, told they’d ring me back to confirm. Didn’t. Ordered still not arrived! Will not be ordering again. God knows what it will be like when it arrives! Spoilt out night. Children so upset. Poor service. Edit. Arrived after 1.40 mins. Food cold. Would give rating of 0 but won’t let me.

Only ordered from here as our regular Chinese take out was shut, The hot & sour soup tasted like vinegar, so went in the bin , the special fried rice , prawns had no taste, meat like wood, only good thing was the curry sauce My hubby’s meal beef special went straight in the bin will never use again.

Absolutely shocking 2 hours to be delivered phoned up twice to be fobbed of to be told it's on it's way when asked driver what was the delay was told it's nothing to do with him , will not use again and will tell family and friends to avoid

If I could, I'd give it minus stars. Just had "special "curry delivered. Almost nothing but onion. Rank chips that must have been cooked last week. Do yourselves a favour and this take away. They are terrible.

Great Chinese takeaway with really good food. Do delivery as well as collection and also accept card. You can find them on the Just Eat app and they are always ready faster than the allocated time. It’s our go to Chinese takeaway all the time.

Usual local Chinese top quality food and service.

Ordered Saturday evening - a few different dishes. Everything was lovely - and arrived 20 minutes early which is great. Only thing is the Soft Noodles are really thin - but they are lovely and have onions and beansprouts with them. Will definatley order again.

Absolutely disgusting don't waste your money

We have used golden bamboo for a few years for delivery. Tonight different address I said do you take card . Woman said yes so I gave her my card details. Ok she said . Then 5 minutes later she rings me back saying your card not working it’s been refused. No way should my card be refused. So I said I will give you numbers again. Systred reading them to her and on thee 3rd lot of four numbers she read them back out to me which was wrong. So I said you have wrote the number of my card down. Yes she Said !, excuse me what are you doing writing my card number down .im will be reporting them. To top it all when we did get delivery they sent wrong order. Lol how good is that . Golden bamboo used to be really good but now very expensive and not good service or orspde 🤨

Food cold staff very rude took over an hour to get to me when I called the guy hung up on me tried calling back and wouldnt pick up very rude. Use to bed really good food and staff but now gone down hill.

Having never been here before but it was on my way home I stopped off for a treat. I only ordered salt and pepper chips but they were the nicest I’ve ever had. Really tasty and a real kick! I’ll be back here to try more from the menu in the hope that it’s half as good.

We have tried the food from most places, but we always come back to here. Very nice. The chicken curry and the beef in black bean is spot on for taste.

I love this place but they don't deal well when an issue arrives. We ordered our food and it took over an hr and 45 mins before it arrived. I called and was told they are busy, fine but at least tell me when I call. When my food arrived it was flat cold and cold chips are not nice. I wasn't offered anything as an apology and considering how much I spend with them you would think they would do something. Not had a problem since thankfully but very disappointing service on that occasion

10/11/2018 Ordered a king prawn curry and a duck and mushroom. Went in the bin all you could taste was salt

Ordered 1.5ltr of Coca Cola but sent 1.25ltr instead then told they don’t sell the 1.5 but still charge for it. The sweet and sour sauce wes in a small carton which left half the food dry.

Just had food delivered. Was short changed by smirking driver. I'll not give golden bamboo my money ever again. Disgusting service by disgusting people.

We ordered enough food for 6 people so our order came to about £50 We have ordered from here before and it's been fine (not the best, maybe 5 out of 10!) My daughter orders from here a lot and recommended it. We did the pre order thing, so I'm guessing we were one of the first orders. I always have chips with my meal so I was looking forward to them. We were sent last nights chips warmed up! They were disgusting and totally spoiled my food. It also made me wonder how fresh their food is. I had a veg dish and that tasted ok. I will not eat food from here again as I just don't trust them to use fresh ingredients.

We had a take away tonight, first time I have ordered from here, took quite a while to arrive, but not bad for a Saturday night! The food was lovely, we ordered 3 different dishes, and shared them, they were all really nice. Will definitely go back.

DISGUSTING. I’ve ordered from this takeaway for pushing 8 years and not once have a I had a bad takeaway until lastnight 06/04/18. I ordered: Crispy chicken in honey lemon sauce Chicken balls with sweet and sour Dry chow mien Special fried rice Curry sauce Chips Everything was fine until this morning when I took a bite of one of the balls to find it was completely raw inside I rang the takeaway just now 07/04/18 for them to tell me I’m wrong, that I didn’t order from them lastnight and that they will not be doing anything about this matter. After being such a loyal customer I refuse to sit back and let them do it. I have also posted on Facebook to warn others about this. I will be contacting food hygiene also. I have just eats confirmation email and pictures of the chicken ball to show. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM

Been ordering from here for a good few months now and not yet had a bad meal. Food usually comes fairly quickly and is always hot.

the delivery driver called me today advise I needed to come and pick my order up as he couldn’t find my address. he was abusive, rude and used fowl language. he then called me back again and put the phone down on me. I called the takeaway to complain and all they said so do you have ur order. food is good but I will never order from them again.

Used this takeaway over the few years several times . Always find the food to be good quality good size portions and you don’t have to wait long

Often order from golden bamboo but last few times food has been tasteless. Had special fried rice tonight, very little meat in it and a large chunk of chicken was just gristle. Really disappointed.

The food arrived over an hour late and was barely warm. Very disappointed as we had to chase at least twice to receive the food. Have ordered from them on a lot of occasions over the years and I expect a telephone call if they are having problems with delivering the food. I expect a full refund as the food was shockingly poor.

This establishment has now lost me as a customer due to the very rude delivery driver I've just experienced. The regular driver that delivers is a pleasure but the one tonight was so lazy and rude, refused to come to the door at my apartment complex closest to me so I had to walk further and upon meeting him I had to collect my delivery through the window of his car and no with manners not even a thank you.

DISGUSTING AND ABSOLUTELY ANGRY My prawn balls came and tasted off! I refused to take another bite. Phoned them for another order of prawn balls but they make sure the qualify is fine they refused then they have the right to decline my refund. If you want to eat food that tastes like it's been scrubbed over a fish tank go ahead this is the place for you!

Chicken and sweetcorn soup was very salty and sweet and sour king prawn was soggy and tasteless.

I regularly order duck fried rice from these and they have been spot on however my meal tonight was an absolute joke. The duck was hard and very dry, (photos to follow) This is either because it's yesterday's duck that was cooked in error and thrown back in the fridge or because it was cooked far too long. I won't be going back again.

I regularly order from these and normally get a duck fried rice and normally it is delicious but tonight was beyond a joke, the duck was dry and hard even my cat wouldn't eat it, I have worked in Chinese restaurants in the past in Brighouse and know too well what happened here, left over cooked duck that has been re-warmed from an wrong order in a previous evening or the left over duck from from a previous night when someone ordered quarter of a duck which has been put in the fridge to use for the unfortunate person who orders next. it's a shame as they were really good previously and never had any issues but tonight was beyond a joke.
