Food is terrible. Chicken is dry, Salt and pepper chicken was flavourless. Spring rolls hard and chewy, Chicken curry and Curry sauce was way too thick, lumpy and poor in flavour. For some reason when you ask for just Vegetable fried rice or Just chicken fried rice they automatically put Egg in without telling us. One of our family members can’t eat egg so couldn’t fulfil their meal. Very poor. Shop needs a refurbishment very underwhelming.

Had a lovely takeaway from here, nice food, fast service. I rang back after wrongly thinking some of my order was missing. Very polite gent spoke to me, I realised when I came off the phone that I hadn't ordered the item! Sorry for that, I highly recommend this takeaway.

I ordered from here only because my normal Chinese was closed on Monday. Never again would I use this Chinese, I ordered salt pepper ribs and when they came there was small little pieces like chicken nuggets in batter they advise me that is correct. They advised ‘That’s how we do the ribs in batter’ and £7 not fit for the dog. See photo

Special curry was inedible, pork wasn't cooked properly, Chow Mein was watery. Unfortunately it was a terrible experience!!

The steak was fine. I order food from shaung hi probably 2/3/4 times a week. The food I received tonight, 07/09/2024. Wasn’t fit to feed my sisters dog!!! The chips were so hard even the gravy didn’t soften em, the stew was tuff and full of gristle. (I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM SHAUNG HI AGAIN)!!!!!!!

Wrong food delivered, we ordered chicken curry and ended up with chicken with gravy and peas?! was too hungry to send back!...Thai green curry was swimming in grease/looked like it had split and tasted overly sweet...would not order it again...finding the quality of food from here is very hit and miss unfortunately...

I've been using Shuang Hsi all my life, and I swear the food just gets better. Hot and delicious every time!

Not sure what's happened but, the food used to be amazing. I ordered chicken curry and the chicken pieces felt like jelly in the mouth. Wasn't like chicken at all. The peas we're hard and rice was dry and part of the order was wrong. Definitely won't order from here again.

Had to add soy to the noodles they were tasteless. And coriander to the dish as also lacked in flavour. Other than that it was alright. Not usual standards but I got free prawn crackers which I was happy about

Worst Chinese by far everything looked & tasted as if it was just reheated.

The mixed grill I ordered was way too salty especially with the gravy the liver had hardly any flavour all items were salty because of the gravy,the curry sauce tasted salty as well the only decent food we got was rice and egg fried rice with chicken balls with sweet and sour sauce,the free bits were delicious though, won’t be ordering from here again.

Food was bang on really but I hope you like onions with everything! I’d ask for no onions next time. I think I probably ate 4 whole onions in my meal, it was in the salt n pepper chips, king prawn curry, bamboo shoots, and bean curd. Too many onions. Chill out on the onions. Did I mention there was too many onions? Too many onions indeed. Needed less onions overall! Just a few too many I reckon. Wouldn’t have been nearly as onion based if there was just a bit less onion. Otherwise it was delicious

I’ve usually always had good food from here but tonight I ordered the munch box and it was basically chips and not much more it cost £13 and was a rip off for what was in it.

The special chow mien was tasteless hardly any noodles all vegetables and the meat well 1 piece of chicken 1 piece of pork the rest don’t know what it was but it was rock hard couldn’t chew it. The rest of the food was delicious usually food is excellent

I received the order, there were missing items, the food standard was very poor! The chicken was slimy, pork was chewy and the dishes were bulked out with vegetables, gravy very bland and no taste, the whole meal went in the bin… requested a refund and received £2 back for missing chips.

rung up as soon as I ordered to ask for fresh chips as the last order the chips were old and dry. delivery came and again the chips were rubbish and old. sorry but I won't be ordering from here again.

25 mins late & missing sweet & sour sauce

My food was fine I had a tasty box and was allways nice my other half had a chicken satay dish and was disgusting which is a shame because it’s allways nice

Had to ring restaurant twice as the app said it had been delivered- the food was poor quality, the prawn toast was burnt and battered pork balls soggy. I didn’t enjoy it at all, in fact a waste of money

I come here a lot and really enjoyed the food, however I found a bone in my crispy duck rolls that has chipped my tooth. We also had a problem with payment, in their website i picked pay at pick up and the website did not specify that you could only pay with cash. I got there and had to re order my whole order, which ended up being more expensive than when I initially did it through the website. Usually love this place and the food is nice but will not be coming back.

Food not fresh at all, reheated. Items missing from order and not cheap! Curry sauce like sludge, chicken skewers reheated. Overall not a great experience. No apology from the restaurant re the missing item when calling, they didn’t seem to care. Wong be ordering again!

Fast delivery and the food was gorgeous.

Ordered four chicken and pineapple and two portions of chips. For some unknown reason I received two portions of RICE instead. Obviously somebody needs reading glasses urgently.

Bought meal for two, paid 27.40! All dishes bland and overcooked, the best part of meal was prawn crackers. Won't be back any time soon.

Visited here for the second time this Saturday and it was absolutely bad as exactly as the first one. We ordered on the phone and we were told that it would take 15 minutes, we got these in about 15 minutes and still had to wait for at least 20 extra minutes. I wouldn't have mind waiting I'd I'd received the food I was expecting but nope it was nothing like that. As .y friend said that this place is a hit and miss and today's service and proved it. My friend who recommended me this place told me that this place is a hit and miss especially on the weekends. Prices are not cheap either and after today's service and food

Found fly in my chow mein and a piece of plastic in the fried rice we had ordered. Tried complaining to the take away, and they put the phone down. Complained to just eat and haven't really had any feedback from them regarding our complaint either. Very disappointing

Wouldn't recommend it took over an hour to come the chow mien was nice the rest of of was discussing and went in the bin the rice was cold and the chips were at least three days old reheated any self respected chef would not have sent them out

Usually the best Chinese but tonight was a waste of good money. Chips looked and tasted like last nights warm up. Curry sauce was a lump of jelly. Everything else was microwaved warm up food. Nothing fresh and nice like usual. Totally wasted money 😞

Food was cold, driver got lost and had to phone as he lost the house number too! The vegetable dish had no flavour (must have forgotten to add any garlic, soy etc during cooking) and was so bad it went in the bin, vegetable spring rolls were soft and chewy rather than crisp, so disappointed they have seemed to have been going downhill for the last few months and this was the final bad meal we will not be ordering from them again

Best Chinese in LS15 - been coming here for 30 years. Curry / noodles / black bean are our favourites. Thai dishes are not the best unfortunately. Always get free prawn crackers and food is always ready in good time

First time ordering Will order again

I have used this takeaway for years and years, and seen it pass through many owners over those years. Honestly, I only order the Beef Curry & Boiled Rice. Having said that, the dish is usually of an excellent quality, tasty, spicy and cooked perfectly, however it does fluctuate slightly in standard and I have occasionally been delivered the wrong item, but that is very, very rare. I used to have this one dish delivered regularly, but was disappointed that their delivery threshold was increased so much that I would now have to order at least two dishes, to get delivery, which I don't usually want. I don't live all that far away, either. My biggest, and probably sole criticism is the reception area. This used to be homely, in typical oriental takeaway style, nice decoration, plants and a tv (entertainment, should one have to wait). Now, it's just a bland white, uninviting wall with glass screens. To me, it is slightly reminiscent of somewhere one might claim ones dole money from, through a security hatch. I think, now it is post pandemic, this should be removed and made more customer friendly once again, even if it might also be there for security reasons. I would think, like many takeaways that in warm weather the back door is sometimes left wide open anyway for ventilation, compromising any security, so come on Shuang Hsi. I love the food I order, but make the place welcoming once more. Thank you
