Wah King in Sheffield

This has changed owner. But must say the food is rubbish very greasy and tasted oily The shop needs a dam good clean

Absolute con artists, website accepted order, 75 mins nothing arrived, no answer on phone. Went up to shop and shutters down and according to the kebab shop over the road they have been shut for nearly 2 weeks. Will be speaking to the bank about a chargeback. Edit 14th November - the money was refunded by the payment processor after two weeks, so some kudos there, but not much.

This has got to be the worst takeaway ever, you place an order and it says 75 mins, 2 hrs later you try and ring them to find out what's happening and they never ever asnwer the phone and your left with nothing, absolute disgrace.

Ordered at 5.30 to be delivered at 7.30 it is now 8.30 and still not here. Not answering phone. Rubbish service won't use again

Absolute disgrace. Ordered on there website for collection and they took the money out my bank. Then later sent an email saying order denied. Tried calling no answer, so went to shop because it says open until 11pm. Shutters where down at 10:20pm. I have not received a refund or anything saying I will get a refund.

Just ordered a portion of salt and pepper chips £4.80 just salty chips with 2 pieces of onion. Won't order again total rip off

Half a duck with the trimmings, Salt & pepper chicken for the other half with the same seasoning on the chips. We loved it.

Duck -was over cooked. Egg fried rice tasted weird so didn’t eat. Prawn crackers were stale. Very disappointed.

Order for delivery. Food was lovely and did not take long to arrive.

Waiting 2 hours for food is always a laugh really innit, rang up and told it was on its way 1 hour later still on it way apparently

I orded last n8ght gave them right address I told them hurl drive I phoned an hour later they said the been to my house and the owner said that they didn't order I know what happened they went to hurlfield drive instead but I never gave them that address so went to bed with no food I'm not happy I told them I would never order from them again they never even said sorry

Walked in and they don't accept cards. No worries. Ordered delivery. I live 2 blocks away and injured so could not walk with cash. 90 minutes later the food arrived, cold. Never again.

Absolute horrible food. Cury is way to salty and the rice is hard and we'll over cooked and the chips were solid. Gone down hill big time since the previous owner 😒😒

No doubt the best Chinese I’ve been to in Sheffield and has a very large menu for cheap prices. Thanks to the owners they are very friendly

Waiting over an hour and a half for the food to arrive when I called to check how long it would be I was told the delivery driver is on his way but he’s taking 7 other deliveries at the same time!! Poor driver I do not blame him one little bit! So I called the restaurant and told them the food was cold and that we were having to microwave it because it was too cold to be told what do you want a refund so I said yes the guy on the phone was lovely saying we could have our money back next minute you could hear manager in background saying he wants the food back which I thought was disgusting as we waited so long and already explained we had to microwave it! So the caller said don’t worry we will send you a refund. The manager needs to step up and not put so much pressure on his delivery drivers and telephone staff!

Waited an hour & half for food only to be told its been sat there 15/20 mins but dont when theres a driver to deliver it .. ok i’ll just pay £30+ for food thats been sat there over 30mins by time it leaves the takeaway!! Cancelled wont be ordering again !!!

No issue with the food but do be aware they have recently put the prices up. There is no notice to inform customers of this, we only found out when we queiried why the price we were charged was different to the price on the board. Service could be better, not impressed with their manner when this was mentioned.

Food arrived on time, it was hot and very nice. I was a bit worried after reading the mixed reviews but I couldn't find fault with our food.

Chicken wings over good chow mein with thick gravy never right that and yes bags for full of all sorts of of crap what I wouldn't expect yellow juices in bag this never order again in my life need closing beef in special u can't even chew

Think we got them on a bad day. Soggy food and not one single prawn in our special fried rice! Took 1 hour and 45 mins to get to us with no apology. Will think twice about ordering again.

I have just had the most disgusting Chinese meal of my life. I ordered a special foo yung to find that all I got was egg,chicken and a few pieces of pork. Nothing else. When I have had this dish from other take aways I have had prawns, sometimes at least one king prawn and veg. Will not use this place again. I an still hungry.

Just ordered food beef curry was way too thick , duck was way too fatty and tastless. Chips and rice was cold definitely won't be ordering again

By far the worst I mean the worst chinese food I've ever had. I ordered beef curry, the sauce was so thick you could could slice it. The egg fried rice had never seen an egg The whole curry was very very bland absolutely tastless. When my curry arrived it came cold I had to heat it up in the microwave and to be fair I feel a little sick after eating it. I will NEVER order from here again the WORST!

Spare ribs absolutely shocking, hardly any meat on them and what meat there was had been completely cooked to a crisp. Not a prawn in sight on any of the special dishes wont be using again.

only take cash payments over counter? food was ok but strange how they did not take card plus its 3 quid deliver on just eat. someone not paying something somewhere

Our normal Chinese was closed so this was our second choice as it is always good. The lamb dishes are best as not many Chinese near us do any lamb meals. We had lamb with leek and garlic and it was extremely tasty. We also had beef chow mein, sweet and sour chicken Hong Kong style, ribs in honey sauce, 2 egg fried rice and chips and it was less than £30 and all delicious. Highly recommended!

Best Chinese I have eaten in England for a long time. Never tasted Tofu so good since Thailand. Well done and thanks.

Quick service and food is always delicious. We ordered 5 main dishes, rice, chips and spring rolls and it was all very fresh, hot and tasty.

We ordered from here today. Special fried rice King Prawn fried rice chips prawn toast.. The prawn were just ordinary prawns not King Prawns.. They tasted like rubber.. The rice was burnt and i asked for extra egg in mine and guess what?yes you guessed it,no extra egg.. My husband phoned the takeaway to give them feedback.. The manager Daniel said you cant have a refund... We didnt even ask for this.. He then said i cant do anything.. To summarise,bad food,bad after service.. £18.00 wasted on awful food and terrible service.. Will not go there again.. Ps..We have been before but usually edible...

Egg fried rice was amazing!! Best I've ever tasted but the curry samosas was over cooked and so were the veggie spring rolls which was very disappointing apart from that it was good. Do recommend egg fried rice.

My local Chinese, mussels in black bean sauce. Always fresh cooked food, friendly staff & fast delivery service.

We usually go to a different Chinese but the last 2 times it has been closed for some reason so this is always our second choice. They have a massive menu including lamb dishes that I have yet to find at any other Chinese. The lamb with leek and garlic is delicious and one of my favourites. We have also had beef chow main and sweet and sour chicken HK style many times along with other dishes and the food is always lovely and fresh. Staff are always helpful and the wait is never too long; although we do order and wait for it - the phone and deliveries are always busy and I expect take longer.

They gave me food poisoning, I was throwing-up all night. Never would dream of ordering again.

Ordered from here many times for convenience and it's just mediocre.. untill tonight it was absolutely disgusting , first of all the curry sauce was so thick it needed scooping out, the chicken was dry and old and the worst bit finding a bright red hair in the fu fung..phoned them and all they say is it was egg LOL.. Never seen a red egg before! Never mind this pile of garbage took over an hour to come..Will never order from here again !

Food took nearly 2 hours to come, the order wasn't right, phoned the takeaway to be told they could send a driver when he got back with missing things so told them there would be no point due to the food being cold, so then replied with ok and put the phone down with no apology or anything !!! WILL NOT be eating here again !!!

Always order our Chinese from here, never had a problem, good hot food and plenty of it. always polite on the phone when ordering :)

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE! They sell out of date - not fresh produce - prawns have been off a number of times when iv ordered them, keep finding hair in my food and when I phone to complain, I get subjected to horrible customer service and get called a liar. will never be going back there for a Chinese. absolutely disgusting!!!!

We live locally to Wah king so go here for takeaway... lovely food always warm and fresh and they will also change the food to your needs... only down side is you have to pay cash as they don't have a card machine.

King Wah usado muchas veces y nunca tuve un problema hasta esta noche. Amd me dijeron pedir comida a 45 minutos, 1 hora 15 minutos después aún no hay comida. Llamó para preguntar si había un problema me dijeron que hace la izquierda las edades conductor no deberían ser largo. La comida llegó 15 minutos más tarde y era de piedra fría. Llamó para quejarse, solo para preguntarme si estaba seguro de que era frío, dije sí tan fría que las bolsas estaban mojadas con condensación. Dijo que traer la comida de vuelta yo y que lo hace fresco, explicó que no era un aption como para salir por trabajo en breve. A COMER fresco y en el trabajo, no es posible y pedimos explicó el reembolso. Esto no fue posible, ya que dicho id ordenar a través de comer solo. Lo que nos salió preparado para hacer sólo le dijeron que me dijo y con el id id cancelado mi pedido comer solo sin más alto nivel el dinero. Comida en bin inedable y wah king definitivamente de mi lista.

Terrible place. Don't do it! Food took over an hour and a half to arrive. (Which we didn't mind, it was the weekend) When it arrived it was stone cold and had a number of items missing, we called and just got attitude from the start, they refused to try and fix the issue so I said I wanted a refund. (We hadn't touched the food) they refused this too. Just stating "just don't use us again" £40+ order. Disgusting!

Ordered from here a few times now, the prawn toast is always yummy as is the roast duck Cantonese style and the roast duck with oyster sauce. I usually get the crispy seaweed too which is nice. Had the shredded duck with pancakes one time...

Mi novio es delicado en lo que se refiere a comida - que le gusta una buena calidad. Nos costó encontrar un restaurante chino cerca de nosotros (Manor arriba) durante algún tiempo, intentando varios diferentes, entonces me lo recomendó un amigo Wah King - probamos y tienen que contentarse con que desde entonces. Tenemos casi el mismo orden cada vez (pato tortitas, sal y pimienta costillas, sal y pimienta patatas fritas, dulce y amargo pollo estilo Hong Kong, huevos arroz frito, patatas fritas y luego otra comida) pero nos encanta. Es nuestro favorito llevar por mucho. Nos nueva alegría cada hora, sin falla. Sin duda lo recomiendo!

This is the best Chinese in Sheffield, granted a couple of times it's taken a little longer then expected for delivery, but well worth the wait. Just a shame we have moved so no longer in area :(

Parece ser que si la entrega conductor no podemos encontrar nuestra dirección hemos claramente dada a la pizzería/conductor nos son 'prankers' el para llevar no sólo era una hora tarde. Pero después claramente cometiendo un error, mi padre se llama la comida para llevar para que les pedimos que "ven recoger la comida'. estás riendo? Sinceramente, este lugar es una broma. Acerca de la hora de la comida llegamos. Lo que nos dieron de frío. Miré en otras críticas y parece que han tenido problemas con entrega antes. Ellos simplemente no puede ser a tiempo. Ir Con hambre o con alguna OIG u House. Es mucho mejor. Coste de entrega 3 libras por broma de conductores de entrega

after calling to let them know they got my order wrong, (I ordered king prawn balls...I was given chicken balls) I was told I may get discount next time I order and that they couldn't replace the order as I had apparently tried the food...if I hadn't tried it how would I know it was a chicken ball and not king prawn like I asked? Won't be ordering again! It's not the first time they have messed up!

The chow mein was awful! Iv been using this chinese for a while now and always had excellent vcustomer service! However when I rang to complain they had given me the wrong food I was told I was lying and they would have to check the food before they could give me the right dish by which time my other food had gone cold! I wont use them again!

The fact I got my omelette and chips all together in one box instead of separately like other takeaways do that's the only thing that was a little cheap really but the price was the same as other takeaways so I felt a tad let down
