Terrible customer service. Waited 2 hours for delivery to be told the food was still cooking! Cancelled the order. If I could have given zero stars I would have.

Gone downhill. Poor quality and small portions. . Food looks unappealing. Prices have skyrocketed. One star for Fast delivery.

Food is very bland, lacks flavour, especially the noodles and rice dishes, shame.

Unfortunately this place appears to be going down hill. Our normal order no longer tastes the same and the last time we ordered parts of the dishes were cold and I’m men fresh from the fridge cold. After a struggle with the staff we were able to get a refund for the cold dishes. This is now on out boycott list.

Food arrived quickly but was poor quality and small portions , the house chowmein was over cooked and tasteless, fried rice was hard and tasteless and the sweet sour chicken was like eating vinegar The only good things were the satay skewers and the salt and pepper chicken over all very disappointing

Just had a chicken fried rice. Very poor experience. The rice was as dry as dry could be. I'm afraid I shan't be going back.

Had an amazing takeaway from here, the staff were lovely and the menu had something for everyone. I had crispy seaweed and vegetable fried rice which was delicious and non greasy. It was perfection! Definitely recommend!

We use this takeaway a lot, sometimes picking up sometimes delivery. The food is always exceptional and the prices are very reasonable. We have had a variety of dishes and none have disappointed. Lovely people.

The best Chinese In Sheffield by far and the prices are reasonable as well. They’re not on any 3rd parties so you need to ring up to place an order. If they had their own website that could take an order that would be ideal.

Used to purchase a Chinese Takeaway for a friend from here as a treat when I made a day trip to see them or I would get a meal delivered to them via the restaurant delivery service which was good. I selected low calorie and sugar free items to make.up.the meal as the friend loved the meals. However the proprietor stopped delivering as the friend who knew that the.meal.was.pn.kts way ..would often not answer the door which was because they were nervous of having the treat I think.....I often wonder what the food lady owner of this nice venue thought .so now take the time to leave a review. Thanks

Honestly…dire food and disgusting. Worst meal I have ever ordered I think (I tried just a few mouthfuls and then threw it all away)! The plastic fork she insisted on giving me just snapped off in the the food also. Not sure how they can even charge for the food it’s that bad! The place was dead, that should have said it all tbh. Weirdly they have tables inside of the restaurant but you aren’t allowed to sit nor eat in?

Our favourite Chinese. We’ve always had a great meal from here. If they’re busy they let you know how long you’ll have to wait.

Ordered in person. No receipt given to check the order. Food given to us and we were ushered out of the shop as they were closing 15 mins early. We checked the food outside and there was one item missing and one incorrect.l item. We got the woman's attention and she was pig ignorant. Said kitchen closed and shrugged her shoulders laughing. She then said give me cash and I'll get the missing items!!! Food was cold and it all tasted the same. But above all the woman is RUDE!!!!

Never had a problem when ordering from here. Sometimes they can be very busy on a weekend and have to wait a little longer than expected but thats a sign of a good chinese if its always busy. Food is always delicious, slighty on the pricey side but you get what you pay for imo :)

I have been ordering from here since 2013 & have never left a review. I ordered last night at 10.17 pm to my shock there was a knock at the door at 10.30. I couldn't believe how fast the delivery was the food was freshly cooked & piping hot I really enjoyed my meal. Fresh ingredients & the taste was bang on! Thanks a million guys keep up the good work. Unbelievable, spent over £300 a month with them for about 5 years and never had anyone as rude to me on the phone tonight. Food used to be great but last 3 have been vile. Thought we would go back out of pure loyalty but won’t be doing it again. They have totally lost the plot! Had a go at me for having to ask my girlfriend to read number on back of card as my sight isn’t great. Such a shame. Won’t be in business long. Crap food and aggressive service. Avoid

Placed an order for delivery at 5.50 and told it would be an hour and a half. That's OK, I know you're busy so not surprised but then you phone me at 6.50 and tell me it'll be another 2 hours!! Wok Express you've just lost a loyal customer.

We have always enjoyed this take away but last night we ordered a set menu with some additional items. The beef was inedible and then to top it off we have bad tummies and my son has been up sick all night. Will not be returning. I wonder if there has been a management change 🤔

Ordered last night, beef fried rice, chicken chow mien and sweet and sour chicken Cantonese style… what cut of beef do you use? … even the dog had trouble eating it 🤔 Disgusting and inedible , sweet and sour chicken, you forgot the sugar in the sauce , was vinegar sauce, disgusting, chicken chow mien was nice. Overall … No thank you 🤬

Ordered and paid. We were told food would be with us in an hour. After 70 minutes we phoned to be told that our food was not yet cooked (was up next). Wok Express is the name of the restaurant but in name only. One of 5he dishes (garlic ginger beef was about 50% onion). Food was otherwise good but experience was disapointing

Food was cold after an hour of waiting. Not as cold as the manner of the lady on the line, though. Food was average. Won’t be ordering again.

Ordered Singapore Style Vermicelli Noodles and received Noodles covered in soy sauce, which was absolutely not what I ordered. Called to complain only to be told that ‘they are sorry but there is nothing they can do’ more like they can’t be bothered. Absolutely horrendous customer service and I will not be ordering from there again.

They just seem to get it right. Good service, prompt delivery, if they are very busy, they tell you straight. The menu is traditional, but never disappoints.

Just had an excellent takeaway. Son and daughter have just had their first Chinese takeaway and it was the best we have had from Wok Express to date. Credit to the chef as we could not fault it. We will be back for more yet again. Full Marks

Ordered food at 18.30 and by 21.00 still not delivered ! had to go and drive to collect it ,when we got there it still wasn't ready but the place was empty. Got it home ,food was stone cold and so salty it was uneatable 😣 Total waste of money Will never use these again Do yourself a favour and go to McDonald's instead.

Wouldn’t go anywhere else, always top quality and tastes great. Yeah sometimes you have to wait a bit longer but they are all really friendly and will make sure you are looked after. You may only wait a bit longer because they are so busy, this must tell you how good they are !!

Food at wok express is very good how ever the same can not be said for customer service , the incoming telephone orders are far more important than the actual customer in the shop waiting to place a order and this is down to management ! Not the polite young lady behind the counter . The same happens every time we go into order so I would advise management to get a bit of customer service training or close the shop to walk in customers .

Please be aware you will always receive you good late. They give you a time but never keep to it. Very disappointed with this place.

We ordered a take away around 19:30 which came half an hour late (specified it would be an hour and a half - meaning it would arrive around 9). It was delivered at 19:30, arriving approximately half an hour late.When it came the half a duck we ordered was sparse to say the least, filling 8 out of the 12 pancakes they had supplied...HOWEVERWhen I called to complain (which I rarely do) the lady who answered was extremely apologetic and rectified the complaint straight away by letting us know she would get some extra duck delivered immediately (the extra duck arrived within 20 minutes).All in all, although it was disappointing we felt initially we weren’t given our money’s worth. This was rectified immediately and the quality of the food overall was lovely.Disappointed having to wait over 2 hours in all for much less then half a duck. But subsequently the customer service is good and the quality of the food is better then most local takeaway.Would recommend for food quality but a word of wisdom, when it comes to paying customers, more is always less...

Too hit and miss. One time you go everything will be fine, the next you don't know what your eating, it's cold, reheated and gives you stomach ache. Not bad if your looking for an extreme alternative to laxatives.

It's not that great. Takeaways are lacking this end anyway. Forced to order out of desperate Chinese food need!

Just bought 1/2 a crispy duck. It was not on the bone, but a small amount of poor quality reheated bits of dried out duck that were obviously left over from a previous time. I complained but they were not interested. Don’t bother using this place, this is the worst meal I’ve ever had from a takeaway

Tuvimos una entrega a domicilio esta noche para una familia de 4 que consistió en tostadas de gambas, especial 'Happy Family', ternera en salsa de frijoles negros, cerdo char sui agridulce cantonés, langostinos Foo Yung y 2 arroz frito con huevo grande.Estaba realmente delicioso y llegó a los 30 minutos de llamar por teléfono al pedido. También echaron galletitas de gambas y con la entrega llegó a 29. 40Muy agradecido por su arduo trabajo y mantenimiento de los estándares en tiempos tan desafiantes, tuve que llamarlos para agradecerles.Nuestro favorito absoluto (y hemos probado MUCHOS)

Great local Chinese , been going here for years!

Esperó 2. 5 horas después de pedir la comida y cuando la obtuvimos, estaba completamente mal y teníamos una selección de agua fría al azar en tinas de plástico, aparentemente un "fideos vegetariano" en realidad significa "cerdo frío, pollo y langostinos". Todo lo que había en la bolsa tenía un olor horrible a pescado e incluso las algas olían a los pescaderos del mercado del castillo. Llamé para quejarme y no llegué a ninguna parte con el gerente. Casi 50 dólares de comida tirados directamente a la basura. Nunca volveré a ordenar desde aquí y te recomiendo que tú tampoco lo hagas. Pésimo.

Comida absolutamente vil. Enviaron la comida equivocada, ni siquiera cosas que estaban cerca y hacía frío. Faltaban cosas en los platos, el pollo apestaba a pescado, y sinceramente no le daría a mi perro.Llamé para quejarme y me dijeron que era mi problema y que podía pagar otra comida si quería algo más.NUNCA ordene desde aquí. Absolutamente deliciosa comida. Es nuestra comida china más cercana y la adoramos. Siempre listo a tiempo y siempre deliciosa comida. Esto se ha convertido en nuestro ir a los chinos. El personal siempre es muy amable. Después de mirar muchos restaurantes chinos en Sheffield, este fue uno de los únicos que pude encontrar con una calificación de 5 de higiene. Señora en el otro extremo del teléfono no tiene modales, la comida es buena pero muuuy caro. Esperamos 2 horas para una entrega que es un viaje en automóvil de 5 minutos. Lady en el teléfono seguía gritando y no me dejaba hablar, no valía la pena. Shan no volverá a ordenar.

We visit here frequently and tonight on the way home decided to get a takeaway - chips/ rice and curry sauce. Yes it was 20 minutes before closing but it wasn’t the biggest order in the world and we were on our way home 6 minutes later so didn’t make you late closing. However, to be told “don’t order this late again” wasn’t what I expected. If you want to leave work at 10.45 put that as your closing time and last orders as 10.30 not your closing time as 11. Your hardly the busiest Chinese as it is the rest of the time and if we had made you late I would understand but we didn’t. Just rude!

They got the rice order wrong and blamed me when I called up to say I didn't order egg fried rice. Then tried to charge me 3.60 to replace it great customer service won't be going back!!!!!!

Nos encanta poder tomar nuestro propio vino y nos encanta el ambiente relajado. ¡Sobre todo nos encanta el pato de Pekín! El entrante mixto tiene elementos deliciosos. Volvimos a disfrutar de otra velada familiar a este encantador lugar. No estamos hablando de restaurantes, estamos hablando de cocina china de excelente calidad. Nos encanta su pato de Pekín especialmente, pero también muchos otros platos. Nos gusta que podamos traer nuestro propio alcohol, pero realmente amamos a Amy, nuestra anfitriona muy especial que es la felicidad personificada. Este lugar se abastece principalmente de comida para llevar y entrega de alimentos y durante toda la noche la gente entró y las entregas salieron y esto en una noche de viernes "chippy". No digo que haya muchas portadas, pero si tienes la suerte de comer in situ, entonces disfruta de las "Galletas de la fortuna".

Solo quiero decir lo contenta que estaba con el servicio: la señora que contestó el teléfono fue excelente; Muy amable, cuidado de hacer mi pedido bien, muy atento. Cuando vine a recoger mi pedido, ella era encantadora, muy educada, sonriente y gracias a ella recomendaré su comida para llevar a mis amigos. La comida también fue de muy buena calidad, gracias.

Bought the Family meal b last night to feed my family of 6 - 4 adults, 2 children, and everyone had clean plates which is a rarity! Extremely flavoursome and particularly fresh ingredients, will definitely be going there again from now on. The 1/2 crispy duck came already shredded which was an added bonus to get stuck in straight away with.

Love this place, always full of taste, love the salt and pepper prawns and chicken mmmmmm amazing. Very polite lovely delivery guy, always happy, and usually fast delivery. Never had a problem with this place, we love it.

Food always bland. Today I discovered not a child friendly place; ordered vegetarian spring rolls and got non vegetarian; one portion missing. Better off with Hungryhouse or Green Hill and London Road.

El servicio es excelente. La señora y jovencita que tomara nota son extremadamente agradables - profesional con una sonrisa. La comida a veces varía, pero nos enteramos platos que trabajan para nosotros. Huevos para jóvenes, alubias negras, vermicelli platos de vegetales y los rollitos de primavera son normalmente muy buena. Mi compañero contrae una toma lejos de allí una o dos veces a la semana, ya que realmente le gusta. Hay la opción de comer dentro. Limpio y bien decorado.

Bought takeaway from here for the first time. We won't be going back. Bland, no flavour.Phoenix dragon was supposed to be cooked with garlic-yes and ginger and chilli-no!Sweet and sour was bright red but certainly no sweet or sour. Even the fried rice was bland. Definitely give this one a miss!
