The best restaurants serving Chinese food in Guildhall York Yorkshire and The Humber

The food tastes okay, but the price is very expensive. The portions of barbecued pork, duck, rice and roasted duck are pitifully small. I won’t try it next time.

Wonderful food, and lovely people, this is the second time we have eaten here, delicious flavoursome food, great crispy belly pork and duck, and steamed buns. Looking forward to our next visit!.

I stopped in for eggs benadict and they had a very interesting twist on hollandaise sauce using beetroot which I loved. The service was excellent and it was a real pleasure to eat there. The location is incredibly convenient and I would highly recommend considering this place if you're looking for a bite to eat in town.

We came to have lunch with my wife & her parents for her birthday. Staff were lovely, the food was excellent & we can’t wait to return to try more from the expansive menu. We’d definitely recommend.

the location is so…convenient, my friend recommended me to come, the hotpot is so amazing, I like it so much!!! especially meat and vegetables … too much. the value of the quality is higher, we also find the set menu for lunch, the price is nice, we will try next time ~

The clerk can communicate in Chinese and the food delivery speed is not too fast. If you want to pack a box for 20p, tap water is provided. The price is reasonable and delicious. If you live nearby, you will want to eat here often. Dry pot sausage 🌶️🌶️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The taste is authentic and very delicious. Ginger and Scallion Beef⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The beef is thick, tender and delicious. Hot and sour soup🌶️🌶️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ It's a lot spicier than expected, but it's also delicious and will warm your body after drinking it. Rice⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Big bowl of rice

My partner and I had never had a hotpot before and were so excited to try it as we were up in york for a weekend. When we came in it was dead quiet - nit the staffs fault as they were both absolutely lovely. They showed us how to order and recommended items. We got a two soup with a few items each, which were all nice. The squid wasn’t good and we did have to send it back and have it off the bill as it tasted as though it had been frozen (which is likely as the cauliflower was still frozen when it came out but that’s not bad for veg in this context). The sticky rice was most definitely microwaved BUT the fact we could design our own dips was brilliant - and had allergens up on the wall too. Our drinks were lovely (i got the Sparking Strawberry and it was amazing!!). Considering all of this, and the fact we had to ask to pay with card rather than cash or bank transfer, we do think the bill was a bit expensive. (£74 for one drink, two items and a hotpot flavour each, feels a bit steep to say the least!!!)

I have been a student in York for a few months now and this is the only restaurant that gets me through the semester exams without having a panic attack!!Absolutely amazing staff and the food is always 10/10.Definitely a must try in york!
