Great Chinese restaurant, the rice noodles are delicious! Highly recommend the Jintang Feiyu Rice Noodles, the price is affordable, the boss and staff are very nice, I will come back often😊

Lovely place! Delicious food — spicy, hearty, and wholesome. Really rare to find such a good rich Chinese noodle soup available vegetarian (their default broth is meat-based but they offer vegetarian on request). All dishes we tried were excellent, served quickly, and good value for money. Great vibe to the place too — packed with students on a weeknight, bustling but not too noisy.

As a Jiangxi native, it’s no wonder that I can eat authentic rice noodles in a foreign country!

Street food without any fan fare

Stumbled upon this noodle joint when we were in York for the snooker. Generous portions and good selection of soup bases. Can’t ask for more really.

The noodle was okay, we had the mala pork intestine and the satay beef brisket noodle. Really like the decorations in the restaurant, but the noodle is definitely on the pricier side but maybe that is the normal price point in York.

We love duck and this restaurant offers several dishes with crispy duck. The crispy duck fried rice was loaded. Every fork full of rice had duck and the serving size was more than I could eat. Went crazy and ordered duck spring rolls too... excellent!! The best recommendation is probably that the place was full, and we were the only non-Asians. No tourist trap food here.

When I came to York to travel, I did my homework on Xiaohongshu and decided to come to Mixiang. The soup base of the fat intestine rice noodles and golden soup beef rice noodles is very rich, the fat intestines are also very thin, and the processing is very clean. We added tiantou golden tripe and enoki mushrooms. Unfortunately, the Lotus Pond Stir-fried dish was disappointing. The small plate was no bigger than a friend's hand, and the asking price was 10 pounds 8. There were no lotus root slices in the dish, only carrots, snow peas, fungus and celery. Among them, the snow peas and celery are very old and the roots have not been removed. Later, after discussing the portion size with the waiter, we added a little more snow peas. After tasting this dish, we were not satisfied. Do not recommend this dish.

Lovely authentic food, staff were lovely especially Venus. We had the duck & pancakes. salt & pepper cod & chicken to start and all were fabulous & portions were very generous. Mains were House Special Fried Rice, Chow Mein & Curry. Best Chow Mein we have had in years. Would highly recommend 👌

Overall, really good. The Southern-style house specialties are excellent: full of flavour without compromising on heat, while the rest of the menu is well made Cantonese-style dishes: think 'ho fan' noodles, roast duck and salt and pepper squid. The restaurant is calm and peaceful inside, and you're met with friendly and efficient service. Would happily recommend.

Absolutely revolting. Charging top prices For very very low grade plastic chicken. £33 for two small dishes, a boiled rice and two cans of coke.

The restaurant's sour soup noodles are very delicious. The portion of fried beef river is so big that one person can't finish it. The taste of milk tea and cocktails is really not inferior to that of professional milk tea shops and bars. The service attitude of the waiters is also very good.

Honestly the best food I’ve ever had

The taste is good and the portion is large. There is also a lot of beef in the tomato beef brisket rice noodles. The only drawback is that the rice noodles are overcooked and fall apart when pinched lightly! Comfortable environment, friendly service, and fast food delivery

Amazing food, great service, cute place, tons of delicious vegan options. We cable in quite late and they were so kind to us. The salt and pepper tofu is to die for! The portion sizes are so generous, it really is a fantastic place to eat. A must visit in York. Thank you so much for the lovely dinner!

Aaa so good!! I loved their Ramen! They gave my boyfriend a fork but me chopsticks 😎 i feel special for this . So underrated for cocktails. Omg They had some really good drinks, on the pricey side but if you have money to splash is worth it :)

My friend and I was looking for a nice place for lunch and we stumbled upon this one, we were greeted by a young girl who showed us to the table, an English a la carte menu was given to us unbeknown to us the next table was given a Chinese menu when we saw what they ordered would have been what we’d loved to have ordered, we had not been asked or given that option by the girl, we waited what seemed ages for someone to take our order and finally a young man came, when the drinks arrived, it’s was jasmine tea (tea bag) and there was only one tea bag in a big tea pot for 2 , we challenged that and the lady owner said it’s regulations! Really?? Regulations to charge £2.80 per person but only give one tea bag?? The owner was rather petty but it means we have paid for a meal which portion size was small and expensive for one vegetarian tofu hotpot and shredded chicken with 2 small bowls of plain rice £33.68 , so not too much to ask for a decent pot of tea for two ( not with one tea bag) diluted, so will not recommend or go back again!

I came here specifically to eat Nanchang noodles. How could I imagine that I could eat such authentic Chinese folk snacks in the UK? The service attitude is very polite, but unfortunately the white rice used in the restaurant is not up to par, so one star will be deducted... However, there are discounts for receiving cash, and you will be instantly delighted, and you will receive the discounted star back!

Five-star recommendation! The ramen is particularly strong. I recommend the spicy beef ramen and the five-spice beef tendon. I haven’t tried the others yet. I’ll try something else next time🤤

Food was awful chicken fried rice with skin in it, cheap cut meats with no taste whatsoever in the beef curry sauce and expensive to top it all off threw most of it away food job it was closed the next morning because I would have handed it back and asked for my money, God awfull worst ever had.

Very cosy place and warm. The service is super kind and attentive. They brought the food pretty quickly but...sadly, I was expecting the food to be more flavoursome. I would come back and give it another chance.

They have very decent portion for everything (seriously as I am a big eater)! Been there several times, their rice noodles are my favourite 😻

We visited this place twice on our three night New Year trip to York the food on both occasions was superb so were the cocktails. We only have one regret we didn’t go to it all three evenings. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Typically decent Chinese food, cocktails were very good, nice 60“+ big screen with World Cup Soccer Quatar replays on. Someone on the staff loves rap music, specifically rewinding the same song several times.

Have order the Nanchang style noodles, and 74 Walmgate special cocktail, which is amazing！ very authentic taste never found in anywhere else in UK，cocktail was also fantastic, and with the beat service from their lovely waitress！

Noodle Lane is definitely our go to place for authentic, quality and value for money Chinese food. The restaurant looks great, the service is efficient & friendly and the menu offers a variety of treats. You really need to try the crispy chicken!

Noodles and veg were fresh but beef was pre-cooked so not as tasty as fresh. No excuse when stir frying.
