The drive was extremely rude. He rang and because I couldn't leave the house due to a broken ankle, he was about to drive off with my order with out coming to my door. Unprofessional and the worst delivery service. This guy was awful.

Great portions and lovely food

Although many shops slander this restaurant on the Internet all the time, I have been here many times, the tastes of dishes are very enjoyable！Besides，the price is also friendly. Highly recommended !!!

Very dry food I got the salt and pepper box no dipping sauce wasn't checked on to see if everything was OK will not be going again

Nothing wrong when we went to order, although it was freezing cold in there. The problem started at night after we ate. I don't think I ever had such a bad food poisoning, my partner and I had to call an ambulance for how bad it was. Please save yourselves and never order from this placr.

really disappointing, microwaved frozen prawn toast and chicken satay that literal was ready in 60 seconds. There are much better restaurants than this . Cheap Fast food

The food was cold, and the rice was disgusting. The driver was getting angry with me because he didn’t know his way here, I am not from here and am staying in a hotel so couldn’t tell him.

Call in first time. For a Takeaway over priced terrible food, and the chips in a box were not cooked, not even edible. Sorry will not be dropping in again. Waste of money. It has to be good at them prices.

Only half the food has arrived and the other half the food is incorrect to what I ordered I would like a partial refund

Every meal we have had from here has been great. Very fresh and authentically cooked. A little expensive for a take away though but well worth it.

Ordered Salt & Pepper box, description says King Prawn, no King Prawn, just a load of soggy chips, and chewy chicken, requested a refund via just eat as definitely not worth the money.

The Lunch Box Dinner time special is such an amazing deal. Had the Kung Po with Noodles and it was delicious A meal and a drink for under a tenner is a real find these days and this place is worth a visit.

This was never delivered and the delivery person rang me he said he was lost and he hung up on me. I tried ringing him back and his phone wouldn't take my call. I then checked the status of the order and it said delivered. It was never delivered and I want a refund.

I didn’t receive this order although it says it has been delivered… it was not!

Food is average and expensive in comparison to other Chinese restaurants. Disappointing service. The place is always cold as the owners refuse to turn the heaters on.

Bao buns ok but not v hot. Beef fish good, chicken dish in slightly watery sauce and no satay taste. Delivery time adjusted several times as difficulty securing a driver

Very disappointing. Worst crispy duck I've had, mostly gristle and fat. Sweet and sour was bland and chips were a weird blend of soggy but possibly undercooked.

Fried rice would've been nice but lacked seasoning, the salt and pepper chips were just chips with some onions on top - very bland. But the beef chow mein was doused in pepper so much it was inedible! The delivery driver was very rude, he told me "I'm not happy" and had a go at me because HE got the delivery address wrong and went to goodricke lane instead of deramore lane!

ordered from here before and was 10/10 and had the nicest salt and pepper chips me ever but today they were just soggy and flavourless

We have found a metal nail in our noodles, not just a matter of hygiene, it could have ended much worse.

Great food! Crispy beef could be crispier but still tasted lovely!

Very poor food quality and certainly not worth the inflated price tag. Wonton soup with chilli oil was just wontons in chilli oil with no actual soup - so strong it was unpleasant. Salt and pepper chicken was ok but almost no vegetables like onion and pepper that usually accompanies it. Gongbao diced chicken had an awful after taste that can only be described as medicinal. Completely inedible. Crispy shredded beef was alright. £3.80 for ‘stir fried soft noodles’. You must be joking: barely any vegetables in that and the container was 3/4 filled at a push. This is the worst Chinese takeaway I’ve had in York.

Really good and light egg fried rice and the beef was amazing. Plus the lunch box price was really reasonable. I highly recommend this place.

One of the meals had so much chilli it was inedible. The other was very salty for Satay sauce and more like gravy.

First time ordering, my order was delicious and hot when it arrived and was one of the best Chinese takeaways I’ve had, will definitely use Red Chili again

Iv tried twice, sadly both was okay, some did end up in the bin. This isn’t a criticism of the food, this is an authentic Chinese takeaway which I’m normally ok with but was way too salty for me. Be warned that it won’t match the typical British Chinese tastebuds, others may love it

Just a very expensive takeaway for an average meal

Really disappointed considering the previous reviews. Special fried rice is tough prawns and lumps of cheap ham. Beef, noodles in black bean sauce was unrecognisable, burning amount of pepper, beef had the texture of soya. Sweet and sour chicken was least bad, albeit odd taste.

Hard to communicate and late for a very long time, I was standing out side for at least 40mins.

Nice staff, food on time, only problem was with the food itself. Asked for salt and pepper chicken and got chicken in blackbean sauce. Already drove 20 miles back home before we realised and didn’t want to come all the way back to get the right order. Rest of the food ok, just not great.

Love this new branch of Red Chilli. Great service (really friendly) and lovely freshly cooked food in generous portions. It's my 8 year old's new favourite restaurant!
