Hands down the best Chinese takeaway, and I've ordered from here at least 5+ times now on different days before making a review. Food consistently brilliant. The pork in satay sauce and the roast duck BBQ chow mein are delicious. Staff very kind and even helped us look for my partners wallet down the road when we called them! Thank you 😊 highly recommend.

We were warmly welcomed and looked after. We really enjoyed the food and the prices were super fair. Unfortunately we are traveling back to Germany today, otherwise we would have visited the restaurant again.

Phoenix 鄒記 is a small shop with a real Hong Kong Chinese name. That's I chose to try it out. I went twice, the second time with my daughter. We chose to sit down and had our meals. It's a no-frills shop in terms of decoration. Yet, I've found that it's the best Chinese food in Exeter so far. Authentic style, not too much sauce for some dishes, some people may find them too dry. But this is what we like. The price is very friendly too. It's run by a family with the lady taking orders by phone and in person. The chef, the father Mr. Chow 鄒生 is friendly. He came out to greet us and we had a pleasant chat.

We haven't had a Chinese takeaway for a while so we did .. and it was delish we had spicy chrispy beef, chicken with hot black bean and garlic, chicken chow mein, beef in oyster sauce, fried rice, crackers and the obligatory sweet and sour chicken balls it was all fresh, very tasty and ready in time the only thing that stopped me giving 5 ⭐ was one of the deliver drivers stood in the shop with no mask as did the 2 girls behind the counter the other driver wore a mask and sanitised his hands as soon as he walked in, we will definitely go there again, it is certainly worth a try 😁

Terrible Chinese meal. The crispy beef was not crispy & very rubbery. The meat on the special fried rice was the same & very tasteless. We will not be buying from here again. 😫🤢

Just purchased a large amount of food for the family and that is the worse chips I’ve ever tasted, they where so hard you couldn’t chew them so the lot went in the bin , never again will we use this chip shop so be warned

They use fake photos online to advertise for takeaway and it looks like the dish should have had multiple different vegetables but end up with cheap leftover potato and carrot strips (I think they’re leftover because of the taste and how soft and soaking it is).

Had a lovely dinner from here last night! Portion sizes are fantastic and food was well prepared. Service on the phone was also brilliant. The one thing that was a let down was the szechuan did not taste anything like szchuan and was rather plain and the vegetable spring rolls had pretty much no vegetables inside them. Apart from that the rest of the food was absolutely beautiful and we will definitely be ordering from here again.

Spur of the moment choice; got special fried rice (excellent), beef chow mein (hot, tasty and loads of beef!!), pork balls (not an ounce of fat and big 'n tasty) and some mini spring rolls & prawn crackers... waiting time - hardly any; everything still hot by the time I got home and 3 of us were unable to finish the quantity! The staff were friendly and helpful, so a very good experience and a most tasty meal! Well done and keep up the high standard which you display, despite being a small, family-run takeaway business.

Totally disgusting the food was horrible. I dont actually believe they know how to cook.really nice people but seriously not cooks.

This has been the best Chinese in Exeter consistently for many years. Not only is the food always great but so are the delivery times, service and prices. They always make the effort to tell you how long the delivery will be and it is always shorter. Crispy chili beef is the best.
