Spur of the moment choice; got special fried rice (excellent), beef chow mein (hot, tasty and loads of beef!!), pork balls (not an ounce of fat and big 'n tasty) and some mini spring rolls & prawn crackers... waiting time - hardly any; everything still hot by the time I got home and 3 of us were unable to finish the quantity! The staff were friendly and helpful, so a very good experience and a most tasty meal! Well done and keep up the high standard which you display, despite being a small, family-run takeaway business.

Grabbed a chow mein and curry for a lunchtime treat. Curry very odd, powdery flavour and red!! Chicken quality very poor. Will not be going back

Lived in Exeter for a while and tried various Chinese takeaways, and this is by far the best. The staff are very friendly and the food is great. Generous portions, quick cooking, always hot and tasty. Their salt & pepper squid is a highlight. They are cash only, but that is clear and signposted - Only an idiot would complain about this.

Have been using Wans for several years and never been disappointed. Have occasionally tried other Chinese Takeaways but Wans is without doubt our favourite!

Had the Singapore 🇸🇬 chowmein with egg fried waste and chicken balls Very tasty just left enough room for a Banana 🍌 Fritter

Had a pancake roll nice and cheap and tasty but a little bit Greasy Sweet and sour is my favourite they do a banana 🍌 fritter I normally add clotted cream to it when I get home.

Had a few takeaways from here now. They’re always really good, tasty and piping hot. Menu has a good range of items. We normally get free prawn crackers too which is a bonus! Staff always lovely and friendly.

Our normal Chinese was closed so we tried WANs, fresh veg in the chicken chop suey and the chicken curry was tasty, all nice and hot. It was just all v delicious and we’ll be now making WANS our first choice

Debido al cierre reciente, no hemos tenido comida para llevar en más de 10 semanas. Anoche pedí pollo al curry frito, que estaba muy bueno. Sin embargo, el rollo de panqueques que tomé como entrante fue excepcional: grande, ligero por fuera y una gran mezcla por dentro. Definitivamente recomendaría probar uno de estos, que es casi una comida en sí mismo.

Realmente impresionado con la comida que recolectamos hoy. Encantador personal de recepción, 15 minutos realmente rápidos para recoger y excelente comida sabrosa. Pedimos a Wan's hace unos años y no fue muy bueno, es mucho mejor ahora, ¡la mejor comida china para llevar que hemos tenido en mucho tiempo!Nuestro habitual Golden Wok está cerrado en este momento debido al virus y diríamos que el de Wan es un poco más sabroso y tiene una buena relación calidad-precio. Pedimos 6 x platos principales a 28, ¡decente en todos lados! ¡Definitivamente lo recomendaría!

Staff service is very good. The price is reasonable. Especially ribs and curry. This takeaway is the best I have ever had. If you have the opportunity to try it, you will not be disappointed.

He estado comprando comida para llevar de Wans de vez en cuando durante más de 30 años. He probado otros pero siempre vuelvo ya que este es, sin duda, el mejor. Muy recomendable. Todo está cocinado a la perfección y el personal es encantador. Sería incluso mejor si ofrecieran la entrega, pero vale la pena salir por Wan's.

Always good, fresh ingredients and flexible if you have allergies. Two cooks in a team of four always organised and pleasant with it.

Las bolas de pollo no comestibles, masticables, las galletas de gambas eran casi invisibles, eran tan delgadas, que la llamada comida no era FRESCA. Simplemente insípido, sin sabor en absoluto. Todo era bolsas congeladas de basura barata recalentadas. El peor chino que he tenido. Desperdicio total de dinero.Apenas pagan impuestos y apuestan todo el dinero en las casas de apuestas y el casino.Mi próxima carta es a los estándares comerciales.No estoy siendo duro. ¡Estoy siendo honesto!

Llamamos y ordenamos que nuestros chinos se llevaran. No tienen una máquina de tarjetas aquí, así que asegúrese de llevar dinero en efectivo. Tuvimos que esperar un poco para nuestra comida a pesar de que estaba bastante ordenada, pero nos dieron latas de coca cola y galletas de gambas. La comida fue maravillosa como siempre.

Pedimos por teléfono y le dije que estaría listo en 10 minutos, lo cual fue genial. Servicio muy cortés por teléfono y sin receta.La comida era deliciosa y estaba muy caliente.Chow mein especial, costillas y bolas de pollo muy sabroso y la salsa de curry fue perfecto. Galletas de gambas preciosas también que eran gratis con mi pedido. ¡También a un precio razonable, el mismo pedido en otro lugar (deleite del lejano oriente) era casi 5 más! !Definitivamente volvería a comprarlo.

Esta solía ser nuestra comida para llevar favorita, pero en los últimos tiempos no fue tan buena. Decidí intentarlo de nuevo y descubrí que el curry era mejor que otros platos que hemos tenido en las últimas semanas. Servido por una señorita muy amable. Volveré otra vez para probar otro plato.

Llamé y pre ordené una comida para tres personas en las WAN el sábado por la noche. Cuando llegué, el estacionamiento era una pesadilla afuera, había clientes carros por todas partes. Una vez dentro, tuve que esperar unos cinco minutos para que me sirvieran y luego esperé otros diez minutos para obtener la comida que había pedido. Era buena comida, pero no tan buena como solía ser, ¡la carne crujiente no era demasiado crujiente! De lo contrario bien.

We've been using this place for years. Now that the owner is gone, everything is going bad. Food not having the same taste... We will not order from them again...

I've been going to this takeaway for a lot of years, it used to be the best in Exeter, I pass a lot of takeaway to get there. I had ordered a prawn curry with side dishes on last night.

Knew the butcher next door they brought 50 rabbits a week i wondered why obviously they put it in chicken chow main or chop suey dishes aything containing black bean sauce as rabbit is a dark meat wich this could discoulour the mean makes me sick look at this people never again wonton soup I ordered heated it the next day never have I puked so much

Top quality takeaway food, excellent choice of classic dishes, brilliant value for money with first class service - nothing to hide as you can watch the chefs at work!!! Thanks very much

I have been going to this takeaway for the last 20 years and can honestly say I have never had a bad meal the staff are friendly and the food is reasonably priced would highly recommend a visit

Food was really good, staff very friendly.... maybe to friendly :) Its worth a 10 minute car drive for me.

We phoned through your order as usual, " collect in 20min". We arrived at just after 8 to collect and walked in to total chaos !!! There where already at least 15 disgruntled in the shop. They had RUN OUT OF RICE !!!!! Wwhhhhhaaaaaat. I counted 4 refunds and 3 walk out, we did persevere and got our rice from another nearby take away. I have to say thought the quality of the dishes is not there any more, it is so sad to see our favourite Chinese hit this all time low

No ha sido por un tiempo y no disfrutar mucho. Costillas y arroz frito especial bien, pero curry demasiado líquido y no estoy seguro de si han cambiado su proveedor de carne, ya que parecía diferente. Not as good as usual, service good, asking for garlic normally means that the food is cooked with the herb, last night we had raw garlic diced and thrown on top of the dishes. Very lack of any juices or sauce.

Fuimos a Las Wan como de costumbre estaba cerrado para llevar nuestro oriental express, la comida era preparada muy rápidamente pero era insípida bazofia, no hay diferencia en el sabor de los platos, no volvería

I am happy to say that, following a dip in form at the beginning of the year, Mr Wan is back ... my favourite Chinese take-away for the last thirty years is back in form. Good food, fast service, pleasant staff, reasonable prices ... everything you expect from a Chinese take-away.

This is the best Chinese takeaway I've been to. I've tried others all over the country but none of them compare to Wans. Friendly owners as well.

I have been buying Chinese meals from this take-away since they started in the mid 80s in Chudleigh. They moved up to Exeter later. It has been my reference in the field for about 30 years ... but something has changed. I am disappointed. The food is not grossly bad or inedible ... it has just lost its character and become bland and uninspiring. I actually had to force myself to finish my chicken curry and fried rice, c'mon, this is unheard of. Prices are still good and you'll be able to eat for less than you would at Mc Donald's so ultimately it's worthwhile going in if you want to fill your wellies. But I'll not be going there by choice in the future. I hope they get back on the rails pretty quickly, otherwise they will have lost an old customer.

This Chinese take away is consistently excellent. The staff are polite and accommodating and the service is quick. You are able to see the food being cooked whilst you wait which is always a good thing. The menu is extensive and very good value. Would not go any where else for a chinese take away!

Very fast and food tasted wonderful. Deffinately found my new local chineese. Give this place a try, found it was actually cheeper than alot of other chineeses in exeter and portions are very big

We dont often have a chinese take away meal ,but when we do Wans is the place to go, food is delicious with generous portions, full of colour and flavour. Fast service and when you get your meal home it is always piping hot

I have been having the 'meal for two' (with spare ribs) over at least the last 27 years (yes REALLY). It is consistently good with more than enough for two people. The spare ribs are sweet and succulent, the prawns are huge, the Special Fried Rice is bursting out of its packaging and amazing, the Sweet and Sour chicken balls are huge and tasty with the S&S sauce separate. I have a healthy appetite and whilst the M42 may be more expensive than some of the other Chinese takeaways equivalents nearby, I can assure you that if you buy, for example, a couple of Spring Rolls and an extra something, this M42+ will feed four people for not much over 20 quid. Without extras I ALWAYS have enough left over from the M42 for another hearty meal. Enjoy!

The food is good but watch how much they charge, tried to over charge £26.00 for a £19.00 order with no explanation then tried to do the same to the next customer....if you don't challenge them they take your money BE WARNED>>>>>

Our usual choice of Chinese has gone bad! ! The meal took 90 seconds to appear, which should've warned us. Horrible tasting, and obviously warmed up from the night before food. However worse was to come! When we phoned them up to complain, they said we were lying and instead of binning the food, drive back 7 miles to return it! Great service eh? Avoid at all costs!!!
