The best restaurants serving Chinese food in Test Valley South East

Got takeaway from here on a weekday. Noodles acceptable and would get again if we did want to risk it. Other items were not great. Hard chewy calamari went in the bin. The Sauces, on the items we had, were typically thick and gloopy style. Which is not for me. Might give it a one more chance with a different set of choices or just keep it as a place to buy only Singapore noodles from when having that craving.

Have been a few times and always good food especially the mock duck and the salt and pepper squid. Best takeaway in Romsey and a real treat to eat in too.

Random stop for Chinese food on the way to the airport. Turned out to be a great stop. Good food and great staff experience.

Been coming here for years and it really is the best place for a quality buffet meal. This is a course buffet so dishes are cooked fresh and not left for hours. Super great location for big families, we had a table of ten and were catered for very well. Really friendly staff, very accommodating, asks about allergies, lots of drink options, always checking in to see if we need anything else. Absolutely love the following dishes, chicken and cashew nuts, mixed starter platter, Szechuan beef, curries, all the prawn dishes. You will not get a better value and quality match. Again, this is the best for big tables. This place is always fully booked so make sure you book a table!

You really need to update the pricing on your online menu on your website and google. Don't use Google business, who even uses that, honestly. You will get complaints for this and many other problems. Funnily enough here is one right here. Customer service needs addressing. Uncompromising denial of the existence of a pretty aged menu that is publicly downloadable from Google. Does not put you in a good light. Take this review as help

Came here with friends who have always raved about this restaurant. They were a little wary of what I would think of it because they knew I’d be doing a review. They needn’t have worried. We were having the Buffet and unlike most places there was no time limit of 2 hours . You book a table and you are there for the evening. We ordered the starters , prawns , chicken , salt and garlic mushrooms (superb) ,ribs, seaweed , satay chicken and prawn toast . Had to have it all twice just to make sure it was as good as the first time . Then what I like to think of as the slow down have a good chat course. Duck with pancakes, crispy lamb with lettuce and plum sauce . Then it was on to the mains , We all chose different dishes to share , the honey pork with chilli was outstanding for me , but all the dishes were superb . Small bowl of rice in the middle to mop the sauces up with , don’t have a large bowl it will fill you up . Chinese tea to finish and that was the end of a great evening with superb food and excellent service . £40 a head including drinks and service charge , Great value for money , I will be back soon . But remember you set the bar that high you have to keep it there . Thank you

Mains were OK but the vegetable rolls had no fillings and were flat.

This has been our regular for years but it’s gone downhill recently. My adult kids went down for their order a few weeks ago and were told they’d ordered burgers and had to pay for them (we didn’t even know they did burgers)! It was sorted out in the end and the food was fine. Decided to try again last Saturday. The ribs were awful and worst of all they didn’t bother to put the lids on properly on two tubs of lemon sauce which was hot! It went all over my son’s lap in the car and on the seat and we had to wipe down all the food containers when they got back. It was disgusting. That’s it I’m afraid. Time to find a new one.

Ready to collect perfectly on time, the chips are really good - but that’s it. All bland and for some reason there was sweet and sour sauce in the duck chow mein. 🤮

Really nice food, friendly and really quick service, will be visiting again soon, highly recommended 👍 👌 😀
