Ready to collect perfectly on time, the chips are really good - but that’s it. All bland and for some reason there was sweet and sour sauce in the duck chow mein. 🤮

Very VERY nice food. Very friendly staff. Very good delivery times if paying by cash, even at the weekend.

We have been ordering from this place last 2 years. Can not fault it best around fast hot and fresh!! Once the was a mistake with an order no hesitation they corrected it straight away! Couldn’t ask for a better takeaway! Since we started ordering with them we haven’t gone anywhere else! 10/10 on everything

Ordered food from here it was absolutely flavourless full ov onions and hardly any meat

Ordered my meal, and was told it would be 1 hour 20 minutes for a chicken fried rice and bbq ribs. Waited 1 hour 40 minutes and rang back, to be to it would be another 20/30 minutes. Told them to cancel to order, to be told sorry. Thats not good enough for a customer that as been using you for years. Maybe take off the delivery charge or at least put the food on to cook. Maybe then you might stand a chance to make the delivery time.

Had a Chicken chow mein. Most bland tasteless Chinese meal I've ever had. Cold, noodles with absolutely no taste, few bean sprouts, couple of bits of onion and a few bits of tasteless chicken. The one star is for the decent size reusable container it came in. Food ended up in the bin. Never again.

Have been coming here for many years, but sadly not as good as it used to be. Asked for an extra hot curry for example, and all they did was chop up a raw chilli in chunks and sprinkle on top. Quite salty too. Friendly staff though and good parking. Have since tried Pearl River and so far so good.

After being told that the food should arrive in 30 minutes I called back 45 minutes later to be told it on it’s way, another 20 minutes passed, so I called back to be told your food is on the side waiting for a driver to deliver. A further 15 minutes passed and the delivery turned up some 40 minutes late so I turned it away and ordered some where else. If they had of told the truth in the first place i would of accepted that or ordered some where else. On the first call back to them the lady got all frustrated because she knew she was lying to me and passed the call over to the most ignorant, uneducated, sarcastic and rude man id ever spoken to. I know this review wont affect the business in any way but feel it necessary to vent my disappointment in them. I understand if they were busy but when the driver turned up he stated that they just take order after order and really don’t care what time the food arrives as long as there paid. I’m not saying anything bad about the driver because he was really nice and apologetic even though it’s not his fault. Just be honest with the delivery times.

Had a lovely takeaway from here tonight, was served by a polite young lad in the shop and food was brilliant as always

Definitely the best in Andover and Hampshire. Quick service, exact order and patient staff. I only use the Oriental house now as it’s reliable and good. I recommend it.

Woman was rude at the front desk, first time ordering and the last too… Sweet and sour sauce tasted like pure Vinegar The chicken balls were too chewy I that I couldn’t eat them..

Have been a customer for some time now and I can confidently say it is one of the best places in Andover for Chinese cusine. The food arrives quickly and is full of flavour. I would highly recommend this place if your looking for great food.

Used this Chinese several times and everytime tell myself this will be last time. Food is always late, lots of times items are missing. If you ring to tell them you get stinking attitude and portion size is decreasing and meat is almost non existent. Do yourself a favour go anywhere else, skip diving would be more satisfying.

Very poor; chicken was very tough and Thai green curry was tasteless. Had to have something else afterwards.

My favorite Chinese takeaway at Andover. Foods are freshly made and good value. Unlike my experience from other some Chinese restaurants, Oriental House's beef chow mein is so well cooked so beef tastes very tender and not chewy at all. Very impressive foods there and definitely will become their frequent customer from now on!

Staff all kind and helpful good customer service on the other hand I received a steak which was a big let down so tough and chewy could not eat and that was for a medium rare and normally they are brilliant but last couple of orders on different orders they have been lacking hope this improves

When the food is good it’s good. But several times now I have struggled to make myself understood and requested and paid for small adjustments. They charge a lot for adjustments but every time recently the changes haven’t been made but charged for. Sometimes proteins missed completely. So a King Prawn Chow Mein arrives in the small veg container with just noodle and onions and no prawns. The prices are also quite steep for purely a takeaway and delivery prices bewildering The lack of online ordering is also a bind when telephone orders are so difficult to make yourself understood and understand what is being said. So after many years given up and am now going to revert to my other Andover choice.

Without asking they put salt & vinegar on my chips. I hate salt and vinegar. And their gravy sauce went through me like a dose of salts.

I'm really not a fan, I would normally have a curry or a pizza, but Oriental House might just change my mind. I had the Mongolian Lamb Pancakes which were delicious, and you get so much in a portion. I greedily ordered a beef fried rice too and it was amazing. Not greasy, full of flavour, and again, the portion size was huge. My wife had Shredded Beef and said it was very nice and tasty, a perfect balance of sweet and sour flavours. She's a bit more of an expert and said it's better than the one she used in London for more than 10 years, so must be impressive!

Just got curry sauce and chips. Absolutely disgusted my sauce had a small hair floating in it.. won't be going there ever again

Ordered chicken fried rice, and it was the worst one I’ve ever had. It was just boiled rice with boiled chicken and omelette, absolutely tasteless :(

My last takeaway from oriental house was terrible. The black bean sauce was so hot I couldn't eat it, where is the flavour! The curry had only chicken and onions...the onions were barely cooked. Are onions the only vegetable available???? Also delivered in a box with Product info on the side so I now know they dont cook from scratch, they use mass produced packeted powder for sauces...do not waste your money.

Nice food, poor service. Ordered a takeaway on Saturday, arrived in time but it took over 30 minutes longer for them to actually give me my order. The excuse was that walk-in’s get priority (over people who have an account that order online). Tried emailing them but that bounces back too. Quite disappointed actually as the food is the best Chinese in Andover

Just ordered from them today I used to love their food but today their beef with green pepper black bean sauce (74) & chicken n Beef c/mein #152 was very blunt🤮🤮. No taste at all had to add in my own sauce to make it pleasant. ☹️🤨Not a happy customer. It’s being a pleasure O house, think it’s time to move on ☹️🤝

I have placed my online order at 5pm 30mins after opening. I have tried to call them 15 times because my order not arrrived but no answer... my order was chicken but they tried to deliver pork at 9pm hahahah 4 hours later??????

We’ve been coming here for years now as we think it’s the best in Andover. Always quick service. Occasionally we have a dish thats not as tasty as usual but on the whole we always enjoy it. Haven’t tried the delivery service as we live in a village.

I had a meal for 1 it was gorgeous and enough for 2 but I ate the lot then couldn't move for an hour 🤣

So disappointed with the service tonight! We waited well over 2 hours for a simple takeaway delivery for 2 people on my birthday. I called 3 times, no apology, no explanation, nothing. We have always used this establishment. Terrible service, no customer focus, such a let down.

I can't fault the food or the delivery; both were excellent. The service however, was abysmal.When our food was delivered it quickly became apparent that roughly a third of it was missing. After a rather fraught phone call to the shop, it turned out this was because the person who frequently operates the phone there, had failed to process two lots of two different items, just sending one for each. I say “fraught”, because the lady in question argued the toss with me, saying it was what I had ordered and implying it was my fault, because she had repeated the order back to me. Herein lies the problem: she does not speak intelligible English. During the call I had to ask her several times to repeat herself, as what she was saying just wasn't understandable. She then resorted to something which British holidaymakers abroad are often accused of doing (and rightly criticised for), when they fail to make themselves understood to the French or Spanish: she said the exact same thing, just as unintelligibly, but slower and at a higher volume. The problem was not me being hard-of-hearing. I really wanted to resolve this peacefully, as I genuinely like their food and wanted to remain a customer, but it sadly just wasn't on the cards.When I asked if they could solve the problem by delivering the missing items, roughly half of what she next said (the other half being a mystery to me) was that they would charge us a delivery fee for this, as the missing items on their own did not come to the minimum charge required for complimentary delivery! So they first failed to process the order correctly, and then tried to penalise US for THEIR mistake. She then tried to explain something else three times, but on none of those occasions could I understand anything of what she said. Finally, I just gave up. I'll be giving up on ordering from them in future, too. There are plenty of other Chinese establishments in Andover that do food just as good and presumably try to help their customers with difficulties, instead of arguing with them.

Ordered many times and quality has always been acceptable to great however on our most recent visit the food was exceptionally fresh and well cooked. The takeaway also now stocks more vegetarian options to accommodate for changing tastes. The only chinese we order from in Andover.

Chow mien? Joke! So many noodles & that was about it. Chicken was awol. Bean sprouts were few & far between. Awful, it was the worst chicken chow mien I have ever had. The girl behind the counter was on her phone for far too long & she tried to short change me too. I won’t be going back any time soon & I suggest that you don’t either
