The best restaurants serving Chinese food in Peterborough East of England

I dont order takeaway very often, maybe once or twice a year, but have ordered many times over last 25 years from this shop.

Used to order from this place quite often, but haven't for at least a year as we don't have Chinese food often anymore. Food used to be beautiful, and reasonably priced. I'm not sure if they have changed hands, or have different staff but the food tonight was disappointing and disgusting. The meat inside the chow mein(one chicken, one pork) was sloppy and slimy, the noodles were all stodgey and there were barely any bean sprouts and green onions, there was something off about the flavour. The crispy shredded beef wasn't the usual bright red colour, and lacked any flavour, sauce was sparse. Granted we asked for mild with no chilli's and vegetables as partner is a veg dodger, but it had no flavour at all. Egg fried rice was anemic looking with hardly any flavour. The chicken balls were also stodgey and the meat inside was wet and sloppy. Same with the spring rolls. Everything just lacked and the meat was questionable, like it had been soaked in water to double in size. I know times are tough, and a lot of places are cutting back on costs, but spending £45 on food was supposed to be a treat for once and it was not a treat at all. I'm very disappointed. Don't think we will order from here in the future.

Disgusting strong onion taste beef chow mein...Bad stomach and 2 hours later still taste onions in my mouth...

We used Starwok for the 1st time this week and we'll definitely be going back, great food and plenty of it, great service too, looking forward to our next visit, highly recommended

La mejor comida china para llevar en la zona, buen lugar limpio, servicio rápido, y si lo desea, la entrega que es solo £ 1 extra. El personal es muy amable y los precios son excelentes. La comida es muy buena, en mi opinión, no se puede mejorar. Sigue así NWE, no puedo esperar a volver por más de tu deliciosa comida.

Ordered a takeaway. Mine was a beef chow mein. It was inedible. It was so salty my whole mouth was immediately sore. Definitely will not order from here again.

I can't remember a time when we didn't have regular takeaways from Chinatown and guessed it was probably about time to do a review! It's always been our go-to and for good reason. I've lived all around the country and I've never found food as good as this from a chinese takeaway. None of neon-glow sauce you get from lesser places, just proper well cooked fresh food. The food quality is excellent. I perhaps wouldn't overly recommend the restaurant (atmosphere not amazing...), the takeaway side is where the business is. Having said that I'd love to see them do something like a buffet on a Sunday, I think that would work really well (in the style of Thai Gardens in Rothwell). I've had many favourite dishes over the years but highlights are Stir fried beef cantonese style, satay chicken, sweet and sour chicken hong kong style and chicken curry. Please never retire!

No he estado por un año y esperaba que fuera mejor, pero no, estaba tan equivocado. Todo estaba recalentado Stodge. Albóndigas de pollo, chop suey, el arroz, vil. Lo siento, pero he aprendido la lección - nunca más - mi consejo - no malgaste su dinero - ir a otro lugar.
