The best restaurants serving Chinese food in North West Leicestershire East Midlands

I ordered here because the reviews were pretty good but unfortunately my food was terrible. No one could actually finish off the food. The flavors were just off and all the dishes. Especially the sweet and sour chicken. I won’t eat here again.

I’ve been to Wong Kwei multiple times and always have a great experience. However, my last visit was an exception. Although the food was delicious as always, I left with a bitter taste in my mouth because of the concerning behaviour of a staff member. I noticed on multiple occasions an older member of staff being genuinely nasty to a much younger member of staff, whom myself and the rest of my party were concerned for the wellbeing of. I was especially surprised when this older member of staff appeared to aggressively push past the young girl while she was carrying hot plates. Quite frankly, I have never seen behaviour like this from a senior member of staff and although I will return to Wong Kwei due to the usual good experience we receive, if I were to ever see behaviour like this again my regular custom to the restaurant would be over. I very rarely post reviews however I am leaving this in the hope management see and address my concerns.

If I pay nearly a tenner for a duck chow mein I expect it to be cooked fresh, this was like plain chow mein with a VERY dry and old piece of duck chucked on top.. I do not expect to have to shred the duck myself and mix it in!! The pot of Satay sauce was so oily it had all seperated and looked like something sat in the bottom of the toilet. Even mixed it stayed seperated. If you try and dip your chips in it it just slides off, absolutely gross. It didn't taste fresh, was very dry and would never order from here again. For £40 for 4 items I forced myself to eat the better looking bits but I feel like I may regret that in about an hour!

We ordered a takeaway for delivery. Told us it would be one hour. It didn’t arrive so we called them back to check and were told that it was going to be another hour. We said that if it was that long we would not pay for it. She then told us to F—- Off. disgusting customer service. We have had food from there before but will never use them again.

Just awful. Arrived 30 mins late and no apology. The Pad thai was pink and weird. Won't be ordering again 😩😩 😨😨😨😨😨😨😨😨😨😨

Lovely food every time. I eat here every weekend. Crispy beef is the best here

The food has always been absolutely delicious however unfortunately they stopped taking card payments for deliveries so I no longer use this restaurant.

Awesome food and a good polite young lad who comes around and delivers. If I ran this place I would definitely have him working for me. Absaloute ten ten food !!

We've been here a couple of times now, but I don't think we'll be back a third time. There's a good variety of food to choose from, including a couple of veggie options. The idea is good- pick what size box you want and choose what you want to fill it. The price is fair for the amount you get. Unfortunately the quality of the food is not great. The last time we went everything was extremely salty. I only had one forkful and it was salt overload, just not nice food at all.
