Always good. The same quality as I have had for the past 5+ years. I recommend the crispy shredded beef.

Awful food. Emailed a complaint which appears to have been ignored. We have always enjoyed the food from here but it was like it was a different takeaway, it is also under new management......

We ordered a take away tonight and it’s got to be one of the most disappointing Chinese takeaways we’ve ever had. We had chicken in black bean and green pepper sauce and it was tasteless and as if it had been watered down. The egg fried rice was soggy and looked more like boiled rice and again didn’t have the usual taste to it. The chow mien wasn’t bad, but again was tasteless. A waste of £21

We ordered from this take away for the first time last night and we’re really happy. I particularly liked the seafood and udon noodles. Made a really nice change to have something different. We didn’t have to wait long for delivery 15-20 mins from ordering and super friendly delivery driver. Will be ordering again.

The food from peking House is fabulous, proper tasty and always great service. One of the best Chinese takeaways we have ever had. Highly recommended.

Do not bother going to this joke of a Chinese take away they tell you half hour delivery 4 hrs later still no food they take the phone off the hook!! So went collect it in the end got there and still had to wait half hour never again !!

We order regularly from here and never disappointed. Always arrives hot and tasty. We love their sweet mushrooms in the veggie option - delicious! Batter on the chicken balls and prawn balls is nice and light, not heavy at all. The sweet and sour sauce has just the right sweetness without being sickly. The salt and chilli options are nice and spicy, though not too hot. the chicken foo young has a nice amount of chicken in and very tasty for an egg based dish! Our favourite though is the honey and spicy options - simply delicious and just the right amount of heat for someone that doesn't want their socks blown off! In my opinion, Peking House is the BEST Chinese takeaway in Coalville. Try them, you can't go wrong!

everything was good. but do you realise you are charging twice for delivery I paid £2 on the app for delivery and then the driver wanted another £1.50 plus a 50p charge for using card that’s £4 additional charges??

charged 50p extra on an already £2 delivery charge without prior warning. the delivery driver just turned up and ask for 50p because it was further than 3 miles! surely if you were within 3 miles you would go to collect?

this has become our fave Chinese! we used to use Jonny Wong but this is better now, I’ve just had the hottest, freshest Chinese delivered in record time by a lovely friendly driver yet again! love it x

Kung Po chicken was not very nice at all could not eat it, had a very funny smell and the chicken was chewy for the bit I did try. Noodles were nice as were the spring rolls but overall disappointed.

Could have cooked it myself in the 2 hours it took to arrive..and they still charged me extra for delivery despite being 40 mins later than expected..

They got our order completely wrong.. we are at work and the reason we ordered cause we are hungry and don’t have enough time to drive to shop and back and they get our order completely wrong.. and when we called to get it replaced or else get a refund the woman and then the man on the phone didn’t seem to understand us.. terrible customer service

Ordered king prawn curry and boiled rice started to eat it and found a chicken bone and meat in it I am a vegetarian so this was shocking to me. I phoned the shop up it took a long while for the lady to agree to send me a new one.When it arrived they wanted the old one back and wouldn’t give me the new food until they had a look at the chicken no apology.

food is beautiful but when they come with the food first time they asked £1 second they asked 50p third time they asked 20p fourth time they asked 50p this the only thing l do not like l will never pay any more at the door if they do I will send the food back and get my money back

I ordered my meal at 7pm. It said it would arrive at 8:20pm... 9pm nothing. I checked the app it changed to 9pm and then said delivered. I called them and they said it would be another hour 10pm still nothing I called again they said half hour. Not only did my guests leave but I was left with a load of food and no one to eat it. They offered a 10% refund and said the driver would give it me in cash. Not only was the driver unaware but then charged me 50p for delivery.. I have never paid delivery and ordered about 10 times from spice and rice and never paid delivery. It transpires that they fool the just eat system by saying delivered to avoid the penalty from just eat for not delivering within a certain time frame. Not happy will never use again. Will be chasing a full refund and asking them to come and collect the food and take it back. 3 and a half hours is unacceptable.

My meal was 30 mins late, I called the restaurant who asked me to go to the shop to collect the order even though I had paid for delivery, this has happened the previous 2 times I have ordered from this restaurant. I will not be ordering from them again.

Food took over two hours to arrived and was cold restaurant staff were unhelpful the whole point of a takeaway is so you don't have to cook why should I have to reheat a takeaway I am absolutely disgusted. What a waste of time and money

Loved our meal but the seaweed was too salty when it should be sweet and the pineapple fritters were tiny. Apart from that I would definitely recommend.

Delivery was at the time specified when Peking House accepted the order however giving a delivery time of 22:00 when I placed the order at 20:20 is excessive. Food was lovely, I would still use Peking house again but collect myself!

The beef curry had plenty of beef in it which is need in a good curry and the egg fried rice was nice as well and delivery man was a kind and respectful man did not nock on the door to hard or loud and to rap it off I would recommend this Chinese restaurant/ take away to everyone because I never have had any problems with the food or them Thier self

I’m not sure if this establishment has had a change of chef but the food wasn’t great, crispy shredded chicken tasted like it was in boiled water instead of a sauce it was tasteless and the hot and sour soup was very gloopy...disappointed in the food this used to be my Chinese take away of choice but think I need to try elsewhere!!! First time I have ordered from Peking House. Ordered online. Received a time to collect. The food was ready when we arrived. Service with a smile. Food was still very hot when we got home. And it was delicious and plentiful. Excellent. We will definately use again.

Great food! Glad it came early

The food and service were good. The only thing that let them down was that my area wasn't on the additional charge for delivery. So I was shocked when I had to pay a further £2. So unfortunately they missed out on a tip as that went towards the additional delivery cost.

Ordered food to be told 45-60 mins delivery. This was then put back another 30 minutes...and then a further 25 mins. Absolutely unacceptable to take orders then say they were too busy

after spending £35 on a meal that was placed at 18:25 and delivered at 20:15. late is a understatement and the food quality was not the best. we will not ordering again also urge others not to bother. after a phone call they gave £3 back not even 10%!! if I had not already paid I would of cancelled the order

Food was cold, sauce runny and meat was tough. To add insult to injury I was charged an extra £2 at the door after already paying delivery through just eat, when questioned I was told it was because of miles?! Bad food bad service.... never again

We ordered chow mein with no shrimp It was delivered with shrimp in. We had to call and complain. We asked for them to send a chicken chowmein out in replacement. When it arrived it was watery and flavourless. The chips were over cooked and hard. This was a treat for my birthday and was a total let down. Ended up chucking a pizza in the oven and putting takeaway in the bin.

Really nice food, and the fussy eaters were catered for too.

Absolutely atrocious food. Sweet and Sour Chicken Balls were rock hard on outside and spongy on the inside. Egg Fried Rice was cold and stuck together in clumps. AVOID

The restaurant added another 20 mins to our delivery time making us have an hour wait. Food was finally delivered after an hour and 20 minutes. When the food did arrive the delivery driver was really rude and demanded we paid an additional pound for delivery that was not mentioned at the point of order otherwise we would have paid it when we ordered. We disputed the fact that at no point was this mentioned and that you can't sell something to customers, make them wait an hour and then demand more money on top of the £1.50 delivery we had already paid. We already weren't happy they were so late anyway. Whilst we were trying to explain we weren't happy to the driver after she said 'look it's getting cold, it's only a pound! Do you want it or not?!' And then went to walk away with it all. This was at 9pm. After all the faff with delivery, the food was rubbish when it turned up. The chicken curry was more like a pale brown watery, flavourless soup. Will not be using again.

So, looking in to reviews I've decided to collect the food by myself. The food was hot, but I've arrived 10 minutes before planning collection, so there was an possibility to receive it warm-ish. Soup was great, however main dish taste like ready Chinese meal from supermarket.

The food was lovely, really tasty. What let the whole thing down was that the driver charged me more than he should have and that the drink wasnt cold, bit of a personal preference but would expect it to have come out of a fridge.
