Seven Star Chinese Takeaway in North West Leicestershire

Seven Star is by far the best Chinese take away in Leicester. John is always kind, the food is excellent and have never had any issues. They even make deep fried salt and pepper tofu special for me as I miss this dish and is usually only available in London. I'm not a veggie but love deep fried tofu. Everything is excellent, soups, appetisers (portions are huge), Crispy Duck, Peking Duck, crispy shredded beef, crispy Lemon chicken... just everything is the best. I often ask for cashews in my dishes. Feeling hungry now after writing this review! They are always happy to accommodate my extras or changes. They go out of their way for my whole family and are always welcoming.

Paid online never delivered, on time still waiting now,over 2 hours now and no refund or apology Rang up and told 30 minutes it is now an hour.

Cash only; bit of a shame really as no cash points in the area so another one for JustEat and another £20-40 that didn’t go to a local business. Food nothing to rave about, would not recommend.

Food is made how I ask, but visit regular so dont have to ask anymore which is great for the family and children are always welcomed with a joke and a smile. Even get fortune cookies which they love. Family friendly, amazing takeaway and always a warm welcome and always asks about my family.

Have been coming here for many years now and have never had a bad experience. The food is excellent as is the service. It is busy for good reason. Love the duck, chow mein, shredded chilli beef, all the soups and so much more. Can't go wrong and by far the best takeaway of any food for miles.

Ordered our food which was very overpriced but not had a meal from here in nearly 2 years, turned up cold and no taste couldn’t eat it totally disgusting 3 mouthfuls and the rest went in the bin 🤮£30.60 for 2 main meals never curry & chips again. Do not visit this place totally avoid

I live chinese food This is the worst I have ever had chewy chicken watered down sauces ,the vest thing on the takeaway was the prawn crackers .

Just ordered a chicken chow mein then undone the lid to be greeted by the stench of old chicken which nearly made me sick, just found out since changing hands the food hygiene rating is very poor which is disappointing as it used to be very good. Never ordering from these again I’d say Peking House is the best locally.

Been coming this Chinesa for over 20 years , we order our ribs from here and find them awesome but this time just plain awful , I’m no chef but think they where frozen and defrosted quickly, the meat texture was a give away , normally not dry but where this time and bland ( salt & chilli ) . Plus as well not full ribs , small and fatty or just fatty !!! Such a shame

Not the closest but with good past reviews it was worth the journey. Tasty and not greasy. Very good value especially as the portion sizes were generous.

Have used Seven Star a couple of times and found the food to be quite nice however comparing prices to nearby Chinese takeaways they are on the dearer side and I did find their pancake roll to be way too large, it would be better to have 2 smaller rolls than 1 big one with so much crammed inside for the price.

When we order a Chinese, we always use Seven Stars. Great price, speedy delivery & really tasty food. Keep up the good work!

We had the Seven Star special kung po, the Dragon and Phoenix, Chicken in Orange, spare ribs, rice and noodles all delivered fresh and hot in 25 minutes. The food was delicious, properly flavoursome and spicy hot as it should be, one of the best takeaways I have had in a long time.

We travel from Ashby to have takeaway from here. It's by far the best chinese food in the area. It's a shame they don't deliver to ashby de la zouch as we would eat more regular from here.

Have used many in the area but not this restaurant .but having delivered dry uneatable food decided to give this one a try .well very hot very tasty .delivered on time lovely ....trouble is every one else has found this little gem and we are having trouble ordering tonight all phones are busy ....................lolol

Much improved in both quality of food & service, we ordered a takeaway with friends & we were all pleasantly surprised, well worth a try.

We live in ashby & travel to seven star for the ribs, salt & chilie ribs are amazing . My lad has BBQ spare ribs .they are always tender & great portion size .
