We’ve had a couple of takeaways from Crystal Garden recently, the last one was for 7 people on a Saturday evening. Ordered online, the food arrived promptly and everything was delicious. It worked out at £14 a head which we thought was very reasonable as there was a huge amount of food (not all was eaten on the day). Everyone enjoyed it, we’ll be ordering again soon.

Just had cod and chips from here the worst they have ever been chips were warmed up rock hard and fish batter was overdone fish dry really disappointed it was the best in daventry but not anymore

Not allergy safe. Before asking we asked about allergens due to a sesame allergy and was told theres no sesame in anything we wanted to order. Midway through dinner I had to stop eating due to an allergic reaction to the food.

I'm not sure what happened as I've ordered here before and food was good but my latest order was so greasy and disgusting that most of it ended in the bin. I won't order anything soon if ever.

Great food but horrified that the establishment has been awarded a zero hygiene score thats not even displayed on shop window ! Will not return till a five star certificate is displayed as customers should know . Food is lovely 👍

A great place, food is always full of flavour. Never had an issue with food or service despite other reviews. Personally I think it's the best choice n Chi and the lady on the counter is brilliant. 10/10 every time!!!

A good Chinese takeaway, that i think has new owners. So, I was unsure of the food at first, but that was unfounded. Try the ribs or the large spring rolls, either meat or veg

Food tastes good and one off the cheapest in scunthorpe. Always go here for a chinese takeaway. It can get a bit busy on weekends as its so popular but I call early.

I am a man of particular tastes. I am not discouraged be the food I’m eating, Chinese, Irish, Indian or even …. human. However I was satisfied by the food at this establishment, the meat was chewy and textile but the rice was rather undercooked and flimsy. However, I have had more detestable cuisine in my time, when I was a hunter south of the border I lived solely off uncooked pinto beans, as I don’t sleep and only dance I need my energy. This food had helped me dance night and day.

Too horrible…I bought a soup, too salty too thick… please serve quality food…

Although we were apprehensive about ordering because the reviews weren’t great and we have high Chinese standards, we were very pleased with our takeaway. We spent about £70 on the usual chow mein, sweet and sour chicken, duck pancakes etc. Pretty much what you’d expect from a Chinese. All really nice with big chunks of meat, piping hot and delivery exactly on time! We didn’t get the usual free prawn crackers but did get a free bag of spring rolls and samosas which was a nice surprise.

Unreal service and Melissa is a top notch lady

The store is newly renovated and very bright. We would highly recommend this place as food was fantastic and delicious. Ordered crispy seaweed, chicken noodle and house specials curry. Good atmosphere and friendly staff. Recommend!
