I have loved the food from this venue and told many people about it. I used to live in the city centre and could accept the waiting time. I have just been sat waiting for delivery for what is now hitting far over an hour. The delivery time also changed last minute for yet another half an hour - i tried contacting and it is "closed" so i assume I am receiving a "staff on the way home in their own time" delivery now. I placed the order well in advance so it wasn't trouble at the end of the night for anyone to make and I am very easy going. This is not acceptable for the time I have waited, the cost which I could have gotten cheaper from somewhere else, and also now I don't have food or the money to get an alternative. I have just finished a 16 hour shift and am not happy at all. I will not be using this company again and am very disappointed in this service. One night off work finally and I'm left without food for the night and no driver etc to be able to contact. Just a "closed" phone line.

I ordered food one evening for me and a friend as we had work early and wanted something easy. The food was late and when we rang we were told rather rudely that the driver had not even left yet! When the food was due to arrive 30 minutes earlier. They then hang up the phone when we asked how long it would be.

Absolutely delighted. Food is quite decent, portions are large. You must be hungry before ordering. Love it.

Honestly I had numerous takeaway and I am never disappointed, if you want more specialised Cantonese dishes you can only dream of getting in Chinatown or hk, they do it. The curry beef flank is fantastic, extremely tasty Portion was good for the price you paid for But bare in mind delivery time vary alot so order earlier just so your not disappointed

Food arrived promptly It delicious and as authentic as it could be from the choices in the vacinity. Definitely my go to for Chinese takeaway Large portions with reasonable prices We had fish black bean with crispy noodles Crispy beef in fruity sauce Sweet and sour Chicken Salt and chilli squid Give it a try and you won’t be disappointed 😊

The reviews for this Chinese were a little hit & miss so we weren’t sure what to expect however, the meal we had was lovely. I also had to call twice to ask questions about the menu. The lady was helpful and happy to answer any queries. The only downfall was the menu available on Uber eats but the food we had was delicious.

The lady on the phone is always polite and does not rush you when you have questions. There's 10% off discount on orders online. It's usually around an hour wait for delivery. But worth a visit! The Beef flank noodles was soft and tasty, perfect. Mince pork and aubergines ho fan noodles was nice. Char siu fried rice and salt n pepper chicken were delicious. Generous portions. Just wished they did Crispy pork.

I ordered online via Mr Cook Manchester's website and after waiting 2 hours for a delivery, we contacted the restaurant only to be told that they received confirmation of the order via email but they didn't get an alert in the restaurant so they wasn't aware of the order. After asking what will be done about this she said they can prepare my food and it would take another 40mins. After asking how I will be compensated she repeated that there was some sort of error with their system and then reluctantly apologised. She then said they could refund the money and I said they didn't have to as I was going to pay cash on delivery. She said that's fine and I confirmed if it will be free which she replied yes. 40mins later the food arrived and the delivery driver expected payment, we explained that it was free, he called the office and they said no it's not free we have to pay. I then called myself only to be told that she didn't say it was free and that I have to pay and she repeated the fact that their machine didn't notify them of the order which has nothing to do with the customer. Terrible service.

I gave Mr. Cook's Chinese a try last night. I ordered the Spare Ribs with Salt and Chili, the Deep Fried Chicken Wings, The Beef O. Black Pepper Sauce, Boiled Rice and the Crispy Seaweed. I would have to say over all it was very good. I think the Beef, O. Black Pepper Sauce could have had more flavor. The Chicken wings were my favorite as they had lots of flavor with some spices included. All of the food arrived hot and ready to eat.

If you you want the best Chinese take away in Manchester order from here. Cooked fresh and the nicest Chinese take away I’ve had anywhere. I use them at least twice a month

I decided to give this place a try even with the 50/50 reviews. I ordered the Beef in Black Bean Sauce over crispy noodles. I also ordered the chicken wings and a side of Chicken Fried Rice. The driver was on time and the food was China Town good. It was flavorful and hot when it arrived. I would recommend.

The food came quickly, however the quality was poor. The ribs had roughly 2% meat on them in a not so good sauce. The starter was well over cooked too. One to avoid.

I have ordered takeaway from here a few times. Really good quality food. Not greasy, great flavours, good meat.
