Lucky Star Chinese Takeaway in Medway

We have used this take away for many years now, quick delivery even when really busy, always arrives hot and freshly cooked. Very good Chinese indeed. Great value for money.

they lie about the delivery time the when it comes it’s stone cold . We just sent it back and ordered a kebab from Strood kebab

Ordered chicken balls chips curry sauce and special fried rice absolutely disgusting chips were so dry and probably yesterday’s I couldn’t even swallow them properly the chicken balls had so much oil I filled a cup up with just oil from them how they are still in business I don’t know they used to be really nice but not now ordered twice now but never again I hope you read review before u order

This place is disgraceful towards its customers , I myself waited on an order for 45 mins for collection .. this shouldn’t be the case for a portion of chips and a chicken dish .. to then take my order home and my dish was missing it’s meat they only put the veg in the container so after dishing up the food o then had to travel bk and correct my order which the owner thought was funny 5mins later they returned my food laughing no complimentary refund or a sorry .. I put myself out and asked for some free prawn crackers as my order was over £25 to begin with. Certainly won’t be putting money in there pockets again as local customers get treated unfairly .. I suggest ppl use laburnum Chinese diamond garden there foods amazing and the chef is about his customers not about taking ppls money 💩

Last reviewed this Takeaway in December 2015, almost 7 years on we're still using them. The food and service is of a consistently high standard. Seems as popular as ever especially Friday & Saturday evenings as delivery does sometimes take an hour (We always order by phone and collect ourselves which always only takes 15 mins max) Well Done Lucky Star A+

First time ordering from here and I have to say I have no complaints. Tried a few other Chinese takeaways and I found this one to be the best

Not a very nice Chinese takeaway, all the chicken was reformed rubbish, tasteless, bland and well below standard!! Really thinking whether or not the food is microwaved as there was no real taste of freshly cooked Chinese food? Definitely would not recommend on our our experience, and in fact, probably wouldn’t eat Chinese again after this!! Shame as we used to eat Chinese food on a regular basis, not no more..

Been using here for at least 15yrs. Always good service except once a year ago but may of been a genuine reason. Food always hot, consistent flavour, generous portions etc

Was never a real Chinese lover until I tried the Luck Seven! Was absolutely bowled over not only by the quality of the food and wide selection, but was very impressed by the quick delivery service, ordered at 6pm arrived by 6.20pm, hadn't even had time to put the plates out. Must try the Sesame Toast with Prawn absolutely gorgeous!

The food is not amazing or the best. Rather dry if you ask me. Their sweet and sour hong kong was not very sweet, the chicken was dry and not fully covered in the sauce. Disappointed as the reviews are an over exaggeration but all in all it was manageable but I have tasted better.

We frequently use this Chinese shop every Friday night. The menu offers a wide range of dishes and at a great price, the best part is that when we have it delivered it literally only takes 20minutes! Great customer service and lovely delivery drivers :)

I consider this to be the best Chinese Takeaway in the Strood area. Delivery is great and speedy and the food is always fresh and lovely. Probably use them at least once a month which explains my expanding waistline!

So i normally go to Diamond Garden but on a Tuesday it is shut so I chanced my arm for a delivery. I was quoted an hour, I rang after 1hr and 10 minutes to be told it had left 1hour and 22 minutes was the amount of time it took to come. It was burnt crispy duck, I couldn't eat it, so where the ribs, crisped to a sinder and the hoi sin sauce was a runny sin indeed! I rung to complain and he said he would either send me a new lot out now, which was not worth it as it was too late but he said if I ring again he will give me the whole order again for free, which was the correct answer. I will try again as it will be free next time, I hope it is better next time as this time was shocking!

Been using 'Lucky Star' for a number of years now, the food is consistently to a high quality and appears to be all cooked to order so piping hot and tasty. Staff are customer focused and if an order is wrong for any reason they'll change it straight away. Friday & Saturday are very busy which shows how popular this place is.
