Great to receive the meal quickly and piping hit, lovely prawns, succulent chicken, nicely spiced chicken with large pieces of mushroom, excellent! Great value!

Fuss free. Good food. Arrived promptly and was hot, well packaged and fairly priced. No complaints. My note about allergy to prawn crackers was observed too. I will definitely use them again and happy to recommend to others.

Considering how long it took to get the food (ordered at 6ish, delivery apparantly by 6:50, turns up half hour later at gone 7:20) you'd have thought the food would make up for it. Unfortunately not. Very bland. Wouldn't recommend.

There was a bone in my chow mein

When ordering it said it would take ‘25-40 minutes’. As soon as I paid it jumped to 1 hour! The king prawn chow mein had about 5 prawns in it. Not enough at all. Chicken balls could have been cooked for a bit longer as well. Very poor. Such a waste of money. Should have just got a maccies

the delivery driver was very good and respectful

food was awful, chow mein was luke warm, special fried rice tasted as though it had been re warmed several times and meat was awful, will not order from here again used to use this Chinese a few years back was lovely our usual Chinese couldn't deliver last night so went to these wish I had saved my money no one enjoyed it

I ordered and was given a delivery time. This came and went, so I had to call the restaurant to find out what was happening. I was told they were awaiting a driver, nearly 30minutes went by, when our order was delivered.

Pleasantly surprised, nice size portions, tasty food, Chicken and pineapple was very happy with the amount of actual chicken and pineapple there was compared to other Chinese places. Would definitely recommend for the food.

Ordered kung po chicken, no mention of any nuts. Opened the container to find peanuts in the chicken dish. Considering my son has a peanut allergy I will be taking this further as I was absolutely disgusted that not one mention of nuts was on the menu. Hence why I ordered it.

Ordered 6 dishes today and all dishes were absolutely delicious.

My usual Chinese was closed so tried a new one. Don’t think I’d go back. It was one of the best chinese takeaways I’ve had. All honesty, the chips were awful but the rest was 10/10

Chow mein doesn’t have much flavour and rice was dry but curry was nice and so was salt n pepper chips

Ordered at 5.30 was told delivery would be between 6.30 and 6.50 it arrived at 10 past 7 the shop is only 10 minutes drive away so why it took so long i have no idea but was really disappointed when we dished up, the chicken was dry and over cooked the ribs were very over cooked and tough and hard to chew the mini spring rolls were over cooked and the prawn toast had a very small amount of prawn paste on but because it was so over cooked we couldnt taste it at all, basically every thing that was deep fried was left in too long, two lots of chips in sauce one in sweet and sour and one in bbq sauce hardly any sauce what so ever on either of them absolutely will never buy from here again

All food was cold forgot my drink and food tasted bad

I was regular customer of Open rice and recently I got 4 dishes from there, but unfortunately the complimentary thing I received seems very spoiled and the food was rotten. This experience made me really sad. Hope they won’t repeat it.

Unfortunately the egg fried rice was under seasoned a little soy and a pinch of salt helped the king prawn balls in the sweet and sour were somewhat undersized than I’m used to but the beef in the beef and tomato was exceptionally good as were the prawn crackers

Due to the delivery driver not being able to read all the instructions, my food was delivered to someone else to which i had to go hunt for it and never found it, when i called to find out where it was, i was told wasnt his problem basically and they wouldnt be re delivering it. Wont make that mistake again

Dreadful food, rice hard overcooked, chips in curry sauce heated up congealed , all went in the bin , chips old warmed up .

Food was not actually delivered even though they say it was. Ordered at 1952 and was still waiting at 2135 so rang and cancelled. Now waiting to make sure the refund goes into my account and they have debitted it despite no food. Highly disappointed as I have oredered from Open Rice before and never had a problem. Went to bed hungry :-(

Took a risk and tried for first time, chow main was over salted but just about edible , salt and pepper squid was over cooked and ended up in the bin, attempted to get partial refund but was declined

The time it is displaying as delivered is incorrect, it was 30 mins after the later estimated time. The food arrived 2 hours after ordered. We were very disappointed with the quality of the food (especially after such a long wait - it was not worth the wait at all), some was burnt/overcooked, some was inedible and some didn’t turn up at all.

said it would only take 45 mins, but so far has taken over 2 hours to arrive and we only live 15mins away. would of gone and collected it myself but i’m heavily pregnant and can’t walk due to the ice outside :/

The food came late, I had to call before information was given

No update from shop. Not helpful on phone with when food would be delivered. Even offered to pick up. Order took 1h in total from Order to delivery. Initial delivery quote was 35-50 minutes once complete and paid for went up to 1h 10 to 1h 35.

Chicken and rice were cold. Prawn toast was singed, appeared to have been reheated

Ordered the food in the time frame 0830 to 0900, but it arrived 45 minutes late. That would be fine if the food was good, but it was almost cold. The chicken balls had been steaming in the bag so had not only gone almost cold but were soggy on the outside. I'd ordered chicken chow mein but received beef, which my son who was having chow mein, doesn't like.. Had no call from the restaurant to say it was going ro be late, which is unacceptable.. what is the point in specifying a time if the restaurant totally ignores it? Prior to today they have been quite good, butbthis is the first time I've used Open Rice in more than a year, and wasn't expecting such a drop in quality and performance.. I don't expect the restaurant will apologise, and so have no intention of using them again.. Mick Done

Not the first time I have used this restaurant and the food is good. Placed my order and requested a delivery time of 19:45 which was a couple of hours away. When nothing had arrived 20 mins after the due time I rang the restaurant for an update to be told its on its way and it would be 15 mins!!! Hung up on me.... That turned into 40 mins and the food was no longer hot. Won't use these again as I am not a lover of tepid food and my family prefer to eat when they are not to tired!

The restaurant put the order as delivered at 19.50 but wasn’t delivered until 20.20, I had to ring the restaurant twice to chase up the order

I left a note for the restaurant. None of the messages was taken into account. No butter, No green peppers, No chilli

Didnt like the quality was poor compared to usual dispute over the driver not being able to get in contact but delivery never been an issue before would of preferred a refund

My food was due at 7:20 at 8:00 I rang to see where my delivery was and I was told that I had it, when I told them that I hadn’t they initially accused me of lying. I then had to speak to the driver who also told me I had my food. After asking them a series of questions they realised there mistake and that they had delivered to the wrong house, they eventually delivered my food at 9:00. All though the food was nice the customer service was terrible and I won’t be using this take away again

Ordered a crispy chilli shredded chicken crispy chilli beef turned up then ordered Singapore noodles ended up with spice beef type noodles were not sure but thought fine whatever to then get a terrible bellyache 15 minutes after eating is terrible…no wonder you delivered so quick everyone else must know.

The delivery driver said that he had a phobia of lifts and wouldn't get in them. So I had to get dressed and go down to finish the delivery of the food myself.

Food was cold and duck in plum sauce undercooked and gooey. They forgot the chilli beef but did bring it to us 5mins later but it was inedible like everything else

Smallest portions of hardly any meat in the specials. Stale prawn crackers. Starving ribs. Decent flavours in the chow mein but as a whole it was suffering a bit. This place is not for me

Supposed to receive mini veg spring rolls and a bottle of coke for orders over £45. Didn’t receive them. I spent over £62! Won’t go back

Absolutely disgusting everything tasted like cardboard and the prawn crackers tasted like thay was two days old never again will I eat from here I bet even the foxes will turn there noses up at it when I put it out where it belongs with the rubbish
